    My side: Lion King
 Bf: Kyuzou roll

both were deliciously refreshing as always!

I have always loved Kyuzou! I've been here many times and each experience has always been wonderful. The sushi was perfectly presented as always, with excellent taste. The service was delightful as always, with very kind waiters, and chefs. The ambiance was quiet, calm, and relaxing My only caveat this time; I believe they changed the seaweed they used, it was quite chewy and thick, I couldn't eat through it, please consider using a different seaweed! Thank you very much to the chef for preparing another lovely meal for my bf and I, and thank you to our waitress for your kindness and making us feel welcome! TLDR; i have always loved Kyuzou but they changed their seaweed. It's too thick and chewy. I've been here many times and they changed the seaweed they normally use.

Excellent lunch specials today I really like my avocado tempera. It is hard to find. I got it with the eggplant tofu spicy lunch special. My family got the Japanese bento box options. we love that you get edamame soup, rice, and salad with it. Can't wait to also try more of their Thai options.

This place gives me Japan vibes. The ambiance is quiet and very tranquil. The staff greet you right away and let you pick a suitable spot to dine. First time here and not only is the sushi delicious the staff is very attentive. They offer a great variety of dishes. My new go to is definitely the 49er roll. If you like sushi and you want that fresh simple clean flavor this is it. Their beef steak teriyaki was very scrumptious. And you can never go wrong with their Thai ice teas.

We decided to stop by because of the high star reviews. We were the only customers there, and the service was decent. However, the food isn't worth the high price tag, especially the 49ers sushi roll, which was wrapped mostly in rice.

The service was good. There aren't too many options. The restaurant was cute and was located in a shopping center with plenty of parking. The only thing l noticed was that the fans needed to be dusted desperately... My husband loved his sashimi and wants to go back :)

This was our first time trying this location and everything about it was really good. The ambiance is very settle, simple but cute. Me and my husband both got dinner entrees; he got the salmon and I got the steak. Both were really good and was not expecting it to be as presentable and cooked perfectly. We also got their garlic edamame and the flavors on those were addicting to my husband. He ended up scooping some of the flavors from the edamame and ate it with his rice - LOL. We also got the nigiri and to be honest, the quality was really great. The belly of the tuna was really buttery and wish we ordered more, but then we wouldn't be able to eat our main entrees. I personally would definitely make another trip here and try more on their menu.

Went to Kyuzou for dinner tonight, haven't been in a while (over a year for sure). I like how the inside is cozy and a bit small. Decorated very cute. Our server was with us soon after looking over the menu which was great. I ordered a matcha IPA which I was excited to try, along with our food and appetizer. Service was a little slow after we ordered - took maybe 15 minutes for the matcha IPA to come out. Got the Korean wings appetizer and miso soup shortly after that. My husband got his teriyaki chicken dinner about 10 minutes before my chirashi bowl came out, and he was almost done eating by the time I got mine. This didn't really bother me tonight since it was just he and I eating but if we were with our kids and their food came out late this would've been a bigger annoyance. My chirashi bowl was super good, it had lots of sashimi and pickled vegetables which I love. I would definitely get it again. My husband said he liked his teriyaki chicken as well. We both thought the Korean wings were delicious - a little spice but not overpowering, nice flavored sauce. The total for our meal was about $80, that was for the teriyaki chicken, chirashi bowl, one appetizer, one beer, and a side of miso soup. Seemed a little expensive, but it was good.

The food looked beautiful but it tasted just okay. It didn't stand out as much. I did order through DoorDash so maybe it would be better if I sat down inside.

Was needing a sushi fix and had not had a chance to go here. Came in, just me...party of one. Decided to sit at the sushi bar. I received a dinner menu and a drink menu. I scanned the menu looking for my favorite roll...some places call it a 49'r roll. I call it a salmon roll with tiny slices of lemon on top. They did not have either listed but they prepared a delicious Rainbow Roll along either the salmon that I requested. I also had a very nice cup of miso soup and a small bowl of edamame. I had wonderful service not only from the men behind the sushi bar but also from the male and female food servers. Wonderful dinner, wonderful restaurant!!

Our table ordered: a garlic edamame, spicy edamame, gyoza, shrimp tempura, a few Yakisobas, ribeye steak, bone in pork chop, and various raw sushi rolls. All the food was great tasting and fresh. Where I had to take stars away was for the wait time and service. I understand we had a large party so auto gratuity is included; however I felt like since the server knew this her service was not up to par. Our group consisted of 8 people. We arrived 5 to 10 minutes before opening and were second to be seated. About 6 to 7 other separate groups arrived after yet they all got their orders taken before us. The people in our group that didn't order sushi received their food long before the people who ordered sushi. By the time our sushi came, the others in the party were close to finishing their lunch, some even had their leftovers packed up...which we had to grab ourselves since server never checked on us. Sorry for lack of photos. I am new to this work group and didn't want to be that person to take photos of everyone's food.

Unfortunately, my most recent experience completely changed my opinion. I ordered a roll for my daughter with no avocado and added cucumber. When we got home, the roll only had crab inside. There was no cucumber at all. I called and simply asked for a refund, but I was told the chef insisted the cucumber was in the roll, so they refused. Instead, they told me to drive back so they could remake it. After driving another 20 minutes back (40 minutes of driving total), the employee inspected the roll herself and immediately saw that there was, in fact, no cucumber. So the issue I reported from the beginning was real. What disappointed me most wasn't the mistake. Mistakes happen. It was being treated like my word wasn't trustworthy after years of supporting this business. Rather than believing a loyal customer or offering a simple refund, I had to waste my time and gas proving that the order was incorrect. It makes me wonder if one roll was really worth losing a long-time customer. Customer service is about how you handle mistakes, and unfortunately this experience left me feeling undervalued. I hope management reconsiders how situations like this are handled in the future.

I went with the Kobe Lobster dinner, which came with scallops, shrimp, and lobster, and everything was really solid. Overall, it's a fun spot if you're in the mood for a hibachi/teppanyaki-style dinner and want to switch things up a bit. The only downside is that things felt a bit all over the place service-wise. A few meals at our table got mixed up, we had to remind them about my wife's steamed rice, and one person didn't receive their scallops initially so the chef had to cook another batch at the end. Nothing that ruined the night, but definitely something they could tighten up.

There's even thinly sliced red pork which adds some taste and texture to the soup. We thoroughly enjoyed their spicy Mongolian chow fun. This had some sweetness to it but also some heat which was just right. The beef was super tender! It melts in your mouth. My wife ordered the Sun Kitchen sushi special which was delicious and had big pieces. The quality of sushi here is great! I left disappointed, and honestly, it's not the first time the service has let the food down. On past visits: We stood at the host stand for an extended period while a stressed waiter cleaned empty tables instead of acknowledging us. I requested a protein substitution for their Japanese curry and was told no. Then weeks later, that exact substitution appeared on their updated menu. Last night was the real problem. My meal arrived without rice because they'd run out and said it would take 30 minutes to cook more. You can't run out of rice at a Japanese restaurant. That's not a minor slip. It's a fundamental operational failure. Bluefin has genuine quality and consistency in the kitchen. But the experience around it keeps deteriorating. The restaurant feels disorganized, stretched thin, and unable to keep up with demand. You can't build loyalty on food alone when service and operations keep breaking the promise you're making to guests. If they fix the operational side, this place would be a solid recommendation. Right now, it's not.
