On my visit 10/9/22, I ordered a pina colada shaved ice with ice cream and pineapple chunks, tacos and Mango smoothie. I must say I was impressed with all of it. The Pina colada shaved ice was enough for two people to share. The tacos were also on hit and helped to curb my hunger pangs. For $8, you get two tacos your choice of chicken, pork and streak. For $5, they have lots of different flavored choice of smoothies. I asked for a Mango and noticed that was not on the menu but they made it for me any way. Line wasn't too long when i got there but it had gotten longer as I waited for my order to be made. Apparently, it was only one lady working so the rest of the people waiting in line had to wait for her to finish making my order before they could be helped. Now these folks were super friendly and informative about ube ice cream. It's just a small stand right outside of a parking lot with Longs Drug store. They have vanilla or ube ice cream to add to your shaved ice. I got the pineapple colada, lychee and blue Hawaiian mix. It was super delicious. The portion is huge as you can see so you can share if you'd like. I loved learning about the ube ice cream and will be looking for this on the mainland. They also have a multitude of flavors for shave ice, halo halo, and a bunch of odd food dishes like quesadillas & tacos. My cuz liked her strawberry shaved ice. The strawberry flavor really came out, and the azuki beans made a nice combo: 4 Stars. On the other hand, the haupia was not as good. There wasn't that much ice, and it was mainly ice cream. Don't get me wrong, the haupia flavor really came out. But the ice should have been the main feature, not the ice cream: 3 Stars. This shack is a mess. In addition to serving ices, they also serve halo halo, tacos, and a bunch of other junk: 2 Stars. The service was OK. The orders came out quickly, and the cashier was polite: 3 Stars. We stopped by here because we couldn't find Scandinavian Ice (stupid directions on Yelp got us lost to this place and Scandi Ice). If you order "rainbow" there could be 5 flavors added which can be good and bad depending on the blend. My blended mango smoothie was great and overall I'd say this is a hidden gem that offers boba, shaved ice, and smoothies. She was the only person working in the shop when we went and I could tell she seemed overwhelmed. My friend's did end up getting the right order and their smoothies tasted pretty good. This is the ONLY reason for my 2 stars. Telling a customer to just deal with a wrong order is not a good business model. I ordered 3 drinks and they made 2 (wrong) and then moved on to the next customers orders, I waited to get the two they made wrong corrected and got them back. Ended up being tasteless and skimpy on the boba. I had to wait 15 more minutes for the third drink, which they also made incorrectly and had to fix. The first two were pretty melted by the time I got the third, took them back to the car and everyone was disappointed. I live here, and I get boba with my family at least one time a week. Quality was good not excellent. There are no restrooms here. You have to go to Longs Drugs and ask a worker to get access to their bathrooms. They keep them locked with an electronic keypad. shaved ice places always have long wait times in line and this place is no exception. They did have one person taking orders and the other making the shaved ice at the same time. The service was good and friendly. read more
