First time coming here, and the service was great. The staff greeted me right when I walked in,…read morewhich I appreciated. I used the self-service touchscreen to order, but a staff member checked in to make sure I didn't have any questions, which was very thoughtful. The place itself is spacious, clean, and bright. The menu is simple and easy to understand, and I like that you can build your own drink. I ordered a classic milk tea with coffee jelly, 25% sugar, and less ice. Unfortunately, the drink was about a 4/10 for me. It didn't have much tea flavor and tasted pretty watery. I was hoping for a stronger tea taste, and even at 25% sugar, it was still quite sweet. That said, the service really stood out. I asked them to double-check the sugar level because it tasted so sweet, and they kindly offered to add more tea to my drink. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. Overall, unless I'm really craving tea with boba or toppings, I'm not sure if I would come back, but the service is definitely a 10/10.

She said it was good. Not sure if she would order it again, but it was enjoyable. Ambiance - Small location, well I guess fairly large for a drink place. Some tables and chairs are available inside. But we got our drink to go for our road trip. Plenty of mall parking, way safer than the parking near Costco! Service - Counter service. Price - $9; because she added boba. Expensive, but seems like the going rate for boba now. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success at this location since 2023 and your company (franchise) success with so many locations.

We were the only patrons there at the time, but she acted completely irritated. Anyway, the pork combo plate was delicious, ample serving size and we had leftovers. It comes with yummy fish sauce, shrimps were tasty and the pickled veggies were also fantastic. We ordered two plates and ended up making fried rice with the leftovers. The pork and shrimp spring rolls were also good, and came with three large servings, and peanut sauce that mixed well with the chili sauce. The banh mi was okay. My husband tries every place he comes across and although the flavors were good, he thought the chicken was quite dry and the bread was a little too chewy, requiring a lot of effort to get a bite. It had a little bit of spice, which he liked. The Thai milk teas were good- but note they are pre-mixed so you can't go half-sweet if that's your thing. I'd go back for the food but really hope they figure out how to be friendly to customers -especially with a $$$ order! For that, they don't earn 5*.

I have been twice after and the drinks continue to be consistent. The service is always good but usually like to order the kiosk to make things faster and so I can look at the menu a little while longer. I wanted to update my review because of the last interaction I had. About a week ago I went in and got 2 drinks which I ordered on the kiosk. I waited for my drinks and they came out. The only thing is that when the handed me my drink it had lychee and I had pressed boba on the kiosk not lychee. I went back and told them my order was wrong and the woman in the front was very confrontational and just answered " no you chose that" I told her that maybe it was a mistake on the kiosk but it was a mistake I do not like lychee and wanted boba instead. She kept repeating " you chose that" and I finally got upset and pushed the drink twords her and told her that if she was unwilling to fix it that I wanted a refund. She finally offered to remake it but not before again repeating " you chose that". She remade it and I left. I was speaking to my mom about the interaction and she told me that she watched me press the boba option on the kiosk and it charged me 80 cents for it. The woman before me ordered the same drink as me and we thought maybe the lady mixed it up and just handed me the wrong drink. Either way the interaction was upsetting because I was not being rude or confrontational and I felt embarrassed by this lady speaking to me that way, it was so uncomfortable and unnecessary.

The Vibe Walking in here is a trip. It's got that glorious,…read morequirky architectural DNA of a former fast-food joint, but instead of a sad burger, you're greeted with the kind of service that actually makes you feel like a human being. It's "drive-thru cool" meets "neighborhood gem." It's unpretentious, it's efficient, and it works. The Goods * The Pho: This isn't just soup; it's a spiritual experience. The broth is cleaner than a fresh audit and hits harder than a Monday morning deadline. * Banh Mi: The bread actually has that "shatter" factor. One bite and you're covered in crumbs like a happy disaster. It's the perfect ratio of crust, fluff, and savory kick. * Lemongrass Soup: If you need to wake up your senses, this is the lightning bolt. It's bright, herbaceous, and makes standard chicken noodle look like a nap. * Spring Rolls: Tight, fresh, and paired with a peanut sauce so good you'll want to take a pint of it home for later. The Bottom Line Forget the white tablecloths. If you want the real deal in Santa Rosa, you go to the place with the quirky layout and the elite kitchen. It's fast, it's fantastic, and it's got more character than a Russian novel.

I've been here before and the food is decent, though overpriced for what you get. This visit,…read morehowever, was a different experience entirely and one I feel other customers need to know about. We started with the BBQ pork spring rolls. The BBQ pork was shredded, which felt like a cost-cutting move on protein. Not a dealbreaker, but worth noting for the price point. I was seated outside with my dog on a busy, loud street. I ordered a bánh mì sandwich by number. Our server came back mid-order to ask about rice or noodles, which I assumed was a clarifying question about my mom's vegetarian soup, as both dishes contained tofu. When the food arrived, I received lemongrass tofu and not what I ordered. I flagged it immediately. The server acknowledged the confusion but then returned to inform me that the owner, who was off-site and being reached by phone, was requiring me to pay for the wrong dish regardless. This is apparently their policy: if an order is made in error, the customer is still responsible for the cost. I asked to speak with the owner or an on-site manager. Both requests were denied. What I was told next genuinely shocked me: the server mentioned that the cost of the wrong dish would be split between the kitchen and serving staff. These employees were willing to cover a mistake out of their own pockets rather than push back on the owner. The server was visibly uncomfortable throughout the entire interaction. To be clear: the staff were kind and doing their best under what appeared to be a stressful and unfair working environment. This is a management issue, not a staff issue. If you dine here, confirm your order carefully, especially if seated outside where it's loud. And know that if the restaurant gets your order wrong, their policy may hold you responsible for it.

I have often accidentally ordered tea with cheese foam, because Happy Lemon also offers milk-free tea options. Pros: I love salted cheese foam, and Happy Lemon delivers on it! Their milk teas with salted cheese foam are amazing. I've also had the taro milk tea with salted mochi in it, which has a very creamy texture and a great combination of saltiness and sweetness. I have also had the strawberry matcha smoothie, which I also enjoyed. The counter tends to be busy whenever I go, but the staff is always trying their best and they are helpful. Another great thing about Happy Lemon is that they never charge you extra for ordering drinks without ice. There are also no issues with parking since Happy Lemon is located directly in the Santa Rosa Plaza Mall, where there are parking garages close by. Cons: The tapioca tends to be undercooked, so the texture is often stiff instead of chewy. The drinks are too sweet for my liking, and this is coming from someone who has a sweet tooth. I've ordered drinks at 75% sweetness before like I do at other tea shops, but when I ordered from Happy Lemon, the drink was so sweet that I felt extremely sick and had to add some water at home to dilute the taste. This is because Happy Lemon adds an unbelievable amount of sugar to their tapioca and jellies. If you plan on ordering a drink with tapioca and grass jellies, consider getting 0~25% sweetness. I've been ordering at 0% sweetness lately. Depending on the time and day, Happy Lemon tends to get busy, but I haven't experienced any long lines. One way I feel that they could cut down lines is having a self-service device, but unlike other Happy Lemon stores, the Santa Rosa Plaza Mall location does not have one. I asked the staff about it and they said that they don't have one because of concerns about theft. Overall: Happy Lemon's service is great, and having salted cheese foam is a plus in my book! However, their drinks are extremely sweet, and probably much more sugary than any other milk tea shop I've been to. Consider ordering 0~25% sweetness if you add tapioca or jellies. I have not ordered anything else from Happy Lemon, so I can't comment on them, but I would like to try the egg puff waffle someday.

The fact that Hang Ah charges $8.45 for an order of har gaw or shu mai today when just a few years ago this dish was half the price at most dim sum spots puts a money chill in my very bones. But the fact is that their flavors are on point brings me back in the future. I had one of the best turnip cake dim sum I have ever tasted. Crispy fried with some great flavor through and through. I would order this dish every time I visit in the future. But I would also request that they sear it on both sides for optimum tastiness. The har gaw and fried squid were also full of flavor. I do think that in the future I would request the squid extra crispy as it was a bit undercooked and limp when it should be crispy af. :-) The spot is typical of Chinese restaurants in terms of ambiance and service. All in line with my expectation. My only complaint is paying near $50 for 2 orders of dim sum and one entree. I hate 2026 prices.

We had gotten chicken chow mein, mongolian beef, eggplant and tofu clay pot, sauteed string beans, pea shoots, turnip cake, and egg custard buns. The mongolian beef had pretty good flavor tho it tasted different from the norm. Different brown sauce of sorts. Still cooked well though since it worked in this case. The string beans and the eggplant/tofu clay pot were cooked well. I liked the flavors on them tho the clay pot needed stronger flavors. Usually for clay pots it would sit in the sauce and be practically enveloped in it. That and the chicken chow mein were both a bit bland unfortunately. The pea shoots had pretty good flavor and garlic but were a tad undercooked; hard to chew through. Turnip cake were decent, custard buns were still on the cold side. A quick trip to the microwave did wonders for the buns. Decent for the area but still hard to meet some of the marks for us.
