I've been here a few times over the years & I would get their icy milk or a jasmine milk tea. I haven't been here in a while since there's so many boba spots in the area. I saw that they started selling matcha and I wanted to give it a try! I love that they have a few options for matcha: einspanner, creme brulee, strawberry, banana, etc. The inside is super spacious and ordering on the kiosk was really efficient. I ordered and it came out in like 5 minutes. I went here because I heard great things about the cookie butter matcha. I was a bit skeptical but wow it exceeded our expectations! My visit was solely based on "boba near me" and raving reviews on Google (of how it reminded folks of their high school days). I was excited.... I ORDERED: guava kumquat tea with boba. It was amazing that they allowed you to pick your tea strength along with your sweetness except there was not an option for ice preference. The liquid portion was refreshing but omg so many pits, seeds, ?pulp, etc that led to half the time spitting on a napkin. AMBIENCE: I regret not taking a picture of the inside because I don't need owners coming after me. Did not feel welcoming with ugly dark brown cushioned booths and chairs (majority of them had white splotches on them and dust... I kept moving until I found a portion that looked cleaned). Popular games provided near the cashier. SERVICE: nonexistent. 95% self service kiosk. Older folks were smart because they waited until someone came out (all drinks are made behind a wall so you cannot see what's happening at all) since lamefully the kiosk charges a convenience fee (for me it was 32 cents). LOCATION / PARKING: lots of parking as free and as a private parking lot. Although part of a plaza, not much to do as not many viable options. I've been here twice for their banana matcha and more recently, cookie butter matcha as well. Banana matcha wasn't as memorable other than the ceremonial grade matcha with a slightly umami taste. Banana cream was okay with bits of banana chips but it didn't particularly stand out to me. On the other hand, the cookie butter matcha was sooo good. I've been into fun and seasonal takes on matcha lately and this drink really satisfied that part of me. It's a matcha foam on top of sweetened milk with a generous lining of cookie butter around the cup. It's topped with a whole lotus biscoff cookie as a treat swimming in the matcha cold foam. The foam softens the cookie but still adds a nice texture to the drink. I was really impressed by the richness of the matcha cream as it wasn't harsh. It tastes similar to Izumi's matcha creme brulee which is very creamy. After mixing the milk and matcha layers, the cookie butter flavor was still prominent. I got 50% sweet but it tasted still pretty sweet in my opinion so I suggest getting less sugar. Cashier was super welcoming and the store had an inviting atmosphere with lots of seating. Came to this tea shop around 1:30pm. Thank god I did because it was quickly filled with students walking over from Silver Creek High School. I ordered the house milk tea and mango tea both at 50% and 35% sweet but both were overly sweet. Aim for a way lower sweetness level if you don't like sweet stuff. We also ordered the pandan waffles. The waffles were super crispy and just perfect on the taste. I also love the decor of the shop of plants and wood decor. I will be coming back very soon. I haven't been at Tea Society's location in a few years, and was pretty impressed with their new renovations. It's very bright now and looks much more spacious. To order, you can order through their kiosk or with a staff member. From this visit, it seems that their menu options were a little less from previous menu pictures. OKAY THE DRINKS: I had ordered an Orange Dragon Fruit tea with boba and a Cococado. The Orange Dragon Fruit tea was pretty refreshing and tasty, and their boba tasted great! It could have been because I ordered through the kiosk, but a few minutes after purchasing, a staff member had told me that their avocados weren't ripe and that they could not make the Cococado and for me to pick another drink to replace it. This time wasn't any different. Luckily it wasn't too busy and we didn't wait long. (I think there was only one person in line ahead of us.) I believe we used the kiosk and ordered from there, but I can't remember. I've also ordered from a live person and that was quick and easy as well. Their tea is consistent. The oolong strong. While waiting for our seats at Q-Pot on a Saturday evening, we decided to check out Teasociety. There was a small line and customers sitting in groups around the shop. The menu featured different fruit tea blends from what I'm used to seeing, which I thought was refreshing to see. Normally my go-to would be a passionfruit green tea, but they didn't have it. We ended up getting a regular Vietnamese coffee. When we got our order, we tried putting the straw in at the top and our drink splattered everywhere because the lid was not sealed all the way by the machine. Super messy - our beverage went on the floor, table, and chairs :( The other downside was that the drink was extremely thick and way too strong. We didn't request any modifications to begin with - how do you go wrong with making a Vietnamese coffee in San Jose?! We were really disappointed with our drink and not sure we'll return. There are other menu items we're curious about, but it's likely we won't be back anytime soon. They have a restroom for customers only accessible by a code from the staff. It's a good spot to hang out with a group of friends or family as they have some interesting snack items to choose from, but I'd say there are better boba places if you're looking for your fix. read more

Was in a rush to get food in before heading into work. Ordered the jasmine tea 50% sweetened with boba. It was delicious. My boyfriend got the Vietnamese coffee and that was strong. We got the drinks immediately after we ordered, like they had began making them as we were ordering. So that was pretty nice. We also got the spicy fries and two shredded pork baguette to eat. Those took a little longer, which is understandable. They were pretty good, no complaints there. Glad they offered done-in seating but my only complaint is that they don't clean the tables or sanitize in between people. I went to this boba shop for the first time years ago when it first opened and I loved it then. Unfortunately, I dropped by again for the first time today after many years and I think the quality has gone down while the price has gone up. I got the Thai green milk tea for $5.95 and it was average. I could barely taste the tea flavor and it felt slightly diluted even though I got no ice. A small detail is that they also don't fully fill your cup if you get full ice. It's not a huge detail but it doesn't cost much more to do so. I don't get ice because I drink slow and the ice dilutes my drink before I finish. Their bobas are very chewy and kinda mushy. Overall it's not bad but it's not good either. I saw this place on Yelp and had been meaning to stop by. I finally made my way over as I was in the area. There was only one person in front of me but the line quickly grew after I arrived. I decided to order the matcha love. This reminded me of the Strawberry Matcha Latte from Boba Guys. I got the drink without the strawberry jellies since I am not really a topping kind of person. This drink was really sweet. It was nice to have on an afternoon for an afternoon pick me up. If you like sweeter drinks, then this is the drink for you. The strawberry flavor was more significant than the matcha. It tasted like strawberry Nesquik milk. I do have to take a star off for the service. The service was extremely slow. I am not sure if they were short staffed but it took around 20 minutes for me to place my order and receive my drink with only one person ahead of me who only ordered two drinks. It appeared that the girl who was taking the orders at the register was also making the orders in the back which probably lead to the slowness. Overall, I did enjoy my drink. It was nice and sweet. This is my go to boba place for fresh Jasmine milk tea. Always go for my usual strong jasmine milktea with sugar cane. However, today I wanted to try something different and got the jasemine oolong milktea because they were giving out sample the other day and it was really good. So I thought it was... Since I was already in the plaza, I decided to stop by Teasociety for a quick boba fix. Looked on Yelp to see how the reviews were and there were plenty of mixed reviews but decided to give this establishment a shot anyway. Customer service was decent and my order came out pretty quick so there's 1 star. The aesthetic was nice and the establishment is spacious with plenty of tables available. The price is decent; black MT + pandan waffle + (ridiculous auto tipping 15% for what?) = about $13. But paying that price for a terrible drink and dry waffles isn't worth it. Organic Black MT: I asked for 25% sweet and all I can taste was the creamer. Also had a corn-ish after taste which was so gross. Can't taste the black milk tea AT ALL. At least the boba was nice and chewy. Pandan Waffle: extremely dry and not pandan taste AT ALL. Overall, this establishment is lacking flavor. My mother in law loves to get their stir friend sautéed noodles (S-$7.96, L-$9.95) here. I think it's mi goreng(?) but it's pretty much noodles, some fresh vegetables with an egg. If you want a extra egg it's gonna cost you a dollar. She also likes to get the fried flour pancake ($9.95)-- make sure you ask for honey mustard! If you're buying food, make sure that you make a phone order or theres a chance you may have to wait for 15-20 minutes for your food. As far as drinks, I've only tried two and haven't really explored the menu because I found the ones I liked: House special Ice milk ($6.35). I like it because it comes with boba and flan.
