Not all toppings on the menu are available right now, which was a bit disappointing - no almond pudding and grass jelly, although they do have many other toppings. Brown sugar crystal boba is different. We got - Guava sunset - Assam milk teas - Build your own is made with tea bags, whereas the classic is made with a concentrate. The tea could have been stronger though. They can do sugar levels like 10% too, which is what I got. Without the BOGO deal, I think regular price is a bit more expensive than some teahouses. Instead, she insisted on making another full drink for my son. We picked silky strawberry with grass jelly with her recommendation and it was great! I ordered a small catering from this place (3 tea travelers) and it's actually my first time getting something like this from a boba shop and I'm glad I chose Teaspoon. I also had a Tastea jug -- Peach Me Sweetea -- but that wasn't popular at all with the people due to the design. I did a lot of research in all the boba shop in the region and I decided with Teaspoon because of the design they use. It's genius. Having a box design where people can just pull the lever and it comes out easily is amazing. I know it's simple but all the other boba shop catering is just a normal jug and it comes out on top so I'd have to hold it to pour it -- which is why the tastea jug was unpopular. Next time we get a bigger party, we may have to get 6 or 7 because the 3 tea traveler got destroyed halfway through. The only reason why we ended up not getting more is that we were 40 mins away (we were secluded somewhere at Folsom lake). My only real concern was the poor girl who was working alone to make the 3 tea traveler alongside a a few personal drinks from us. She was able to get it all done on a timely manner though so that was perfect. Anyways, if you're looking for boba catering, this franchise and especially this location is perfect for it. Their box design just works well. Oh and as a side note, the box is plentiful, there were approximately 50 folks in our party and at that amount, 5 or 6 would've been perfect but we were unaware of the amount of people coming in at the time. So 10-15 people per tea traveler is standard but I'd lean in closer to 10. Unless they love boba and they get 2-3 servings each then I'd say 7 people per tea traveler in that instance. read more

I heard so much nice thing about teaspoon from my friends who live in the Bay Area and was so excited to try when it opened in Folsom. I think they have super friendly service and very cute aesthetics, however, the quality of the drinks did not really meet our expectations. I ordered a strawberry colada and also got to try the lychee on lychee and creamy jasmine that my friends ordered. The strawberry colada was super cute, but it was a bit too sweet, and I was not able to adjust the sweetness level. The colada flavor was also sooo strong that I could not taste the strawberry at all. The lychee on lychee tasted like plain black tea while I was expecting STRONG lychee flavor as the name suggested :( The creamy jasmine had the same problem and tasted like green tea without much of jasmine aroma. Also a little disappointed that there was no soft opening discounts But overall I enjoyed my visit! Been a fan for a while, now that they're in Folsom we continue to visit. We have enjoyed creamy Jasmine, grasshopper, strawberry colada, lychee on lychee, dirty ube. Love that you can adjust sweetness and ice level and they have multiple topping options. This location has a board game/puzzle table for you to use while enjoying your boba. At every visit they have had 2 different flavors to taste and that has allowed us to give new flavors a try. Their macarons are also good. We were immediately greeted when we came in and got offered to try their drink and dessert samples. At the time, they had the dirty ube and grasshopper drinks and the peruvian brownie. The worker that greeted us was kind, bubbly, and knowledgeable with the menu. We ended up ordering their black sugar assam, dirty ube, strawberry collada, and matcha royale. Just went for their soft opening! I had Teaspoon down in SoCal a week or two ago and was so excited to see that one was coming to Folsom! I ordered the same drink because I wanted to compare to the experience to the one I had before. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my drink. I ordered the grasshopper. I also tried the Liquid Gold and was disappointed as well. The tea is not strong enough. Both drinks tasted watered-down -- would definitely recommend adding more tea leaves to make the tea taste more prominent. This is especially important for taste when folks order less sugar! Also, they have a pretty extensive list of toppings, but would also love to have grass jelly added! They told me they had aloe jelly and then when they went to make the order they told me they ran out -- but it's their first day so I don't know if they just didn't have it. They also said they don't do "no ice" which I don't understand. I feel that "no ice" is pretty standard. Other than that, the service was good and aesthetics of the shop itself were great! Could have more decorations, more casual seating (couches, coffee table, etc). Overall, good experience and would love to try again! read more
