I can't speak to the quality of work as I decided not to have my cracked iPhone screen replaced here. I walked in to get a quote and was shocked to hear they wanted $129 to replace the screen. That is more than the Apple Store. When I said that's too much thanks anyway, the young kid at the counter proceeded to negotiate the price down a couple of times until it was 109. Still, Apple themselves will do it for $120 which is certainly the best with OM parts and extensive knowledge of the device, so I'm not sure how this place could charge anything over $80. In any case- the lesson learned is that you can likely expect a better deal if you push back. I wasn't looking for that but could see their prices are not firm. read more

I had a very frustrating experience with this company! My Samsung Note 4 was accidentally dropped recently and the camera quit focusing. I stopped into Computers & ? in Tempe while running errands in the area and after seeing their sign. They seemed friendly and told me that I would need to purchase a rear-facing camera part to correct the problem--cost and labor to install would be $69 and it would take 2 hours. I said that I would think about it, and the tech wrote down their hours, price and details on the business card he gave me. I called back about a week later to order the part (they charge 50% upfront), and I tried to schedule an appt to have it installed. I was told they did not accept appointments--I would just have to come in. After being called that the part was in, I came in at 3:30 PM on a Friday, expecting that they would be in until 6PM as I was previously advised. This store, the closest one to me, is over 8 miles away from my house. When I arrived, the tech told me that they could not get to my phone that day because they were closing at 5PM. I could not leave my phone overnight, but I asked the tech if I could fully pay for the part, then take it to their 35th Ave/Union Hills store to have the labor done the next day since I was going to be in that area instead. He said yes, and advised me that they opened at 9AM and that I should be there early as they were busy on Saturdays. I asked, "Are you sure they open at 9AM--not 10AM?" He said, "No, it's 9AM." I said, "OK--can you please call ahead and let them know I am doing this so they won't be confused and I will be there first thing in the morning?" He promised that he would. I left and showed up at the 35th/Union Hills store at 9AM on Saturday. The sign store said they opened at 10AM. By now, I was quite frustrated over the whole hours issue, as I had to leave and come back again. The store still hadn't yet opened their doors at 10:04 AM, so I called and asked, "Are you open? The tech said, "Yes, why, are you waiting outside?" I said "Yes, I am" so he finally came and opened the door. When I got inside and I explained the situation, he said, "Well, I never got a phone call, and I don't work on anything but iPhones here. I was now very frustrated after all the wasted time and gas. They had my phone #--why was I given the wrong hours, no phone call made to me if there was an issue, and then they can't even fix my phone--yet they charged me upfront for the part and labor. I called the Tempe store back three times to advise them of these issues (during supposedly open store hours), but nobody answered and it said the voicemail was not yet set up so I couldn't even leave a message. The Tempe store, having been called by the 35th Ave store, finally called me back and offered to get my my phone in (thanks--but I am in Glendale right now), or that I could take it the Tatum/Bell Store (20 minute drive x 4)--no thank you. Took my new PC to them to check the DC plug. This computer worked perfectly in every way including the day I took it to them. They told me it would not turn on and the mother board was warped I would need a new computer, of course they could fix it if I left it with them, or they could sell me a new computer. I told them I would wait while they put it back together and brought it home. It has been working perfectly ever since. I will take it somewhere else to see about replacing the DC plug. I'm disappointed. I bought a refurbished laptop from this company a month ago and have spent more time taking it in to be fixed than I have using it for my business; my intended purpose. The things needing fixed were not due to my usage. It began acting up immediately when I got home. My first visit for repair was a couple days after I bought it. That should not happen! Problems have continued for the past month. The main problem seems to be in the operating system. It continually freezes up and requires a hard shut down and rebooting to get it back working. This happens frequently. I have yet to turn the laptop on without it say "this computer did not shut down properly." I've been back and forth to their store; wasting time and money for problems that I should NOT have to deal with right out of the gate from purchasing it. I want to return the laptop to them and get my money back. I don't want a fight, I simply want a working laptop that I can rely on. So as of now, they refuse to take it back and refund me. They say that my lap top is working fine because they did a diagnostic test.This has been said to me multiple times and it was NOT fine. It's their word against mine. I have record of my visits showing that I have had this operating system problem since I bought it, and they know it. But all of a sudden they can't seem to find those records.I don't trust them, I don't think they have the talent to identify problems, I don't think they care, and I don't want their laptop, nor a relationship with them during the 1 year warranty I purchased. The good news is, I have the power to express my disappointment through Yelp, and many other websites! And also on a good note, I purchased it on my business credit card and the bank is standing behind their business owner customers. So I dropped the laptop off today at Computers & ?, and the bank says I should have a credit on my card within the next couple weeks. True customer service! This business has been open for at least a couple of years but I can't find any reviews now about them on line any more. After my experience, I think I need to let people know about them. Please make sure that future reviews of this company will not be hacked and taken out. The first time I used this store was to replace a simple laptop keyboard. It was done quite easily. No problem. The second time was to repair the power connection to my laptop charger. The connection was loose and it wasn't charging consistently. After the store taking almost 10 days longer than expected, I was told that it was finally fixed. I took home the laptop and after using it for about half an hour, smoke started coming out of the area where they repaired. The computer totally died and non-usable. I went back to the shop and they kept on deferring to their manager. And the manager never seems to be there. They finally refunded the $100 I paid but would not compensate me any more. My advice to consumers is to ask about their protection policy for your product in the event that their repair actually destroyed your product. Good luck! read more

It took these guys 2 weeks to replace my keyboard after ordering the wrong part. Furthermore I had prepaid for the service but they billed my credit card a second time. I have a Dell Laptop that I adore. I have had it since Oct 2013. It worked like a charm till it slid off the seat in my RV going down the road. The lid and bottom became a bit separated, but I could deal with it. But it got worse and worse over time. It also would get hot and the graphics would go crazy. I took it in and Joe said they could replace the bottom and get the screen to fit back in the proper places. I did not think to say anything about my graphics issue, since it was not a big deal at the time. I got it back in a few days and it was perfect. I brought it home, but the graphics and computer would shut down for no reason, that I could see. I took it back to Joe and he worked on it, (for no charge, amazingly) I got it back but it still would go insane. I figured the Laptop was toast at that time. I called Joe about a charge for some anitvirus he charged me for and I wanted a credit since I was not going to continue to use the Laptop. He REFUSED to give up on my laptop. I agreed to take it back in, he replaced something that helps keep the computer cool when it heats up. My laptop is back to being happy, happy, happy. This store has a great location on Tatum and Bell. I had to get a new monitor and upgrade my computer system. I am a college professor, and I work out of my home, so it was very important for me to get my issues resolved. The computer repair/sales staff were very knowledgeable, informative, helpful, and friendly. Each time I asked to have something done to my system, they installed the new parts within 24 hours. I had a technical issue connecting to the university, and they spent a lot of time trying to fix it. They never complained about the extra time. I highly recommend this store. read more

When I had issues with my MacBook Air I chose a small business in our area to help support the local economy. Unfortunately, this is the store I found. And it has been the most horrible experience EVER. They had my computer for 5 1/2 weeks and I just got it back in a cardboard box in pieces with some key components missing. Their site guarantees they can fix almost anything, sometimes same day. LIE!!! I was having an issue with my keyboard and was told it would take 3-5 business days to replace AND I would have to have the trackpad fixed as well because they came as a whole part. I called them 7 working days later and was told they had the keyboard but had forgotten to order the trackpad. What? - they were supposed to come as a whole part! That afternoon I called and left a message for a manager to call me but never received a call back. I called 9 days later and was told that after replacing those components the computer wouldn't turn on. They proceeded to tell me that the screen had a crack in it! Well it didn't when I brought it in! In fact it turned on & was in pristine condition. They offered to replace the screen at their cost. A week & a half passed with no word. I contacted one of the owners & told him I desperately needed my computer back. I own my own home business and had already lost several customers & had taken a significant financial loss. We were told that because of all the screw ups he was going to personally take care of the issue by getting me a brand new computer and refunding my deposit because by then I had been without it for 4 weeks. He guaranteed that I would have it within a week. 10 days later I was told they were waiting on a part to transfer my drive info to the new one!???? Really- they don't have something in their repair store to do something like that? They let me come pick up the new computer to work on until the part came in. Well upon inspection the "new" computer had numerous dents and dings, food between the keys of the keyboard and the down arrow key was stuck pressed in. I was flabbergasted! I asked to come pick up my computer the next day in hopes to take it to someone else to fix. When I arrived it was in a cardboard box and was missing the I/O board and the power cord. The front desk guy swore I didn't drop it off with a cord. I don't know how they could have lost it since my name was engraved on it for that very same reason. The owner said he would watch the security tapes to find out if I really dropped off a cord or not. Really?!! Even though they sold that exact cord in their store he is going to watch the tapes before giving me one or crediting me for it! He agreed to order an I/O board to be sent to my house for me to take to a different repair store. When I asked for a copy of that order he turned his computer and showed me-a note. No order. It was a note to pull the I/O board out of the "new" computer if they could and have it sent to me. I quickly scanned the other notes showing they had been buying all the parts off of E-Bay! And that's why it was taking so long to get them - (if they were lucky enough to be the biggest bidder I guess). To top that off, in the mean time another customer brought his computer in to complain that after just picking it up from being repaired by them the day before- his wouldn't stay turned on! By then I just had to get out of the store. I was horrified at all that had transpired. The lack of pure respect, poor customer service and owner's ignorance has left me with a broken apart computer in a cardboard box with no cord waiting on an I/O board!!!!! Now I am having to purchase a new MacBook Air because I don't trust they will send the I/O board and is any other repair place going to put together a mess such as that?!!! Horrible experience that I pray no one ever has to go through. Please save yourself the trouble and headache and steer clear of this company or you to will regret it. read more

Back story: Had an issue is dc jack. Went here to get it repaired. Got my laptop back and the microphone was not working in return. Went back a second time and was told it was a software issue. Went back a third time and was told it was a hardware issue and that they had no idea how I happened. First and worst owner I have ever encountered. Zarkus was not polite at all when it came to an issue that was created at his location. He kept saying that there was no way to test the microphone. I have never been spoken to this way, maybe since I have never dealt with a business owner he took it more personally. But an associate has never even raised their voice towards me. He even had the audacity to tell me "there's obviously something you want and that you're trying to get, what it is?" AND when I asked for a refund he said "is $89 really worth it to you?" Now, maybe because he was the owner he was comfortable speaking to me however he wants, and maybe me working in the hotel and hospitality industry has made me more sensitive to others needs, but I would never think of talking to someone this way and people have thrown their hotel room keys at me! He even asked me why I didn't test the laptop before I left his business!!! That's when I began to shout. He kept asking me if my original problem was fixed to which I responded that shouldn't be his only concern. His concern should be that I had to go to his location an additional 4 drives to pick and drop it off my laptop after they made the error. He acted offended. Then he threw in my face that he is an owner of multiple businesses, like it gave him some sort of credibility for being rude. I dropped my iPhone 6 face down on a tile floor, shattered the screen (even with bumper). Still worked but the "spider web" made it tough to see anything. I was heading out of town, and found a place down the street (who will remain unmentioned) that said they had hours of 12-5 on Saturday, but the store was closed, as they were out on a call. That's great for them, but the store should be staffed. I wanted to get this repair out of the way, and back to productivity stat, so I checked for more iPhone repair places nearby on Yelp. I called this fine establishment, the tech answered the phone immediately, quoted a price, and said they could replace the screen in 20-40 minutes. I drove over, and after a quick check-in, then running some errands, my iPhone was as good as new in 20 minutes at a fair price. I also purchased a glass screen protector from them, which they installed free. Hopefully, will help for future drops. Highly recommended! read more

I recently returned from the apple store after the told me they were not able to fix my computer that I had spilled coffee on it leaked through the holes on the bottom. They said my pictures were lost and they could send my entire computer in to have it revamped and then I would have a 90 day warranty and it was going to be over $500. This caused me extreme distress because not only was it going to be expensive but my family's pictures are on that computer. My husband took the computer into Computers & ? and within an couple of hours they not only had my pictures back but my "unfixable" computer was now good as new. The price was extremely reasonable. Fool me once shame on you.... I was in the market for an inexpensive used pc and their ad stated they had such equipment for sale, and verified that with a phone call. All I can say is they must have seen me coming, for what I received for my money was a very outdated, very junk filled, and very defective no name machine which does nothing but constantly freeze up and bog down... a total piece of garbage... and a total waste of money. Since it is quite a distance from my house I will absorb the Loss; it is not worth the time for me to waste trading it for another probably defective machine. Better for me to simply donate it. One other incident worth mentioning about the man who apparently runs the store... there was a handicapped gentleman that entered looking for a laptop, and one can tell by the comments and look of the proprietor that such individuals were not welcome there. when the man left, he even made the comment "well I don't like to judge but"... What their plan seems to consist of is get em signed up and get em out of the store asap. Now I don't have to sit and snivel and complain to my poor wife about the old slow mover she's been hearing about for over five years. She is probably more thankful than I am that I finally quit renewing the costly chain store 'plan' that surely has gone through the motions with many other customers. Horrible service! Went to them last week to repair my iPhone. They said they couldn't even check to see if the problem was screen or dashboard problem till next day when it would have taken them 5 minutes to check while I was the only customer there waiting. They then said they don't have a iPhone 5 screen in stock to repair the screen? It would take five days till they can. How can a place that advertises they fix iPhones not be constantly ordering them to ensure they never run out? Took my phone and left. Drove 5 minutes down the road and had it repaired at UBREAKIFIX within an hour. Definitely do not go to them. 2 ppl in front of me were complaining as well about false advertisement. read more

Got my screen fixed there this past weekend. The vibrate function was working when I dropped it off but wasn't working when I picked it up. I was in Arizona on vacation and when I realized it after and hour I didn't have time to bring it back. They claim a screen replacement doesn't affect the vibrate function and won't take responsibility. I paid them $170 to fix the phone, now I have to spend another $90. If I lived there I would never go back. read more
