Great appliance repair company! Highly recommend! When our microwave/oven combo unit suddenly died, we called another repair company. After two service calls, that tech didn't have a clue how to fix it. Took a chance on Teckrom per Yelp, and a miracle occurred. Cristian came to our rescue. This company was truly AWESOME! I called today around 1pm to have them come out to fix a recurring problem with our Samsung refrigerator and was promised an appointment tomorrow afternoon. About an hour later Gabriel called to ask if he could come in 30 minutes, and showed up in less than 20. He took the time to evaluate our problem and explain all the reasons our ice maker was acting up. This is after we had a "certified Samsung Tech" replace all the parts 6 months ago. Gabriel did a thorough evaluation including removing all the parts, checked air flow, and corrected a couple drains. He then explained how if this did not fix the problem we can work our way through all the red tape at Samsung to have them fix it under warranty. Very disappointed. Guy came out and explained a lot of nonsense to me. He adjusted the temperature on my refrigerator so now it iced Up again, after I explained the problem. Our Samsung refer was giving us problems with the upper icemaker. We had been battling it for a while and I finally gave up and called Teckrom. Life saver! I have a rental with a new family as tenants - the refrigerator went out suddenly. As it was a Kenmore unit I first called Sears to come look at it. The guy who came out was rude to my tenants and tried to upsell the repair like crazy. I thanked him for the diagnosis and bid him farewell. I was in a bit of a panic now because me peeps were living out of a couple coolers now - I hit Yelp and saw Cristian's company and all of the great reviews so I gave him a call ... It was midday on a Friday - he was very helpful over the phone, had the compressor in stock, and gave me a much better quote so I scheduled an appointment for the following Monday ... I asked if there was anyway the repair could get done sooner and he said he'd try but he didn't think anyone was available Saturday. A couple hours later I get a call from him - he was on his way personally to go fix it ... late on a Friday ... I'm sure he'd rather have gone home but he stayed later into the evening and repaired it. Absolutely awesome. Cristian is incredibly efficient! We had a problem with our LG washing machine on Wednesday - the LED buttons on the front panel wouldn't work ... he came over the same day to check it out and discovered that the electronic control module panel needed replacement. He ordered the part and on Friday morning was back with the part and got the washer back up and running (to my wife's delight). Do NOT hesitate. Joseph did a fantastic job repairing my Samsung refrigerator's water line. He then cleaned out the back using steam...it was 11 years old and had never been done. We had an error code on our Whirlpool Cabrio washer mid Feb. Our realtor gave us a few recommendations. I called and spoke to Christian. He was very patient explaining what it could be, ultimately suggesting a service call. Joseph came by the following day. He was super friendly, professional and since the error code would not appear again, he did some thorough checking in different parts of the washer and we were charged $75 for the call. He told me to call him again if it appeared again. It did, less than a month later but different code. I called him again, and then made an appt through Christian for 2 days later for Joseph. This was today 3/18. Again, the stupid error code would not duplicate, so after troubleshooting, he concluded that it was related to a certain part. He explained the pricing and i asked for his opinion, which he thankfully gave : buy a new machine. This was left by the sellers, so we will not risk escalating costs, we'll replace it the next time the next error code appears. FYI- we were not charged for another service call. We will call Teckrom for maintenance on the dryer shortly. They will be our go-to for appliance issues going forward and we'll have zero hesitation to refer them to family and friends. read more

Teckrom is the best! My dryer failed and they scheduled Joseph, he arrived on time, masked. He diagnosed and had to order a part. Once it came, he was promptly back. Unfortunately, it didn't solve the problem. He did a thorough diagnostic on the electronics. Then he came back with Cristian and they worked on it together and checked every single possibility. They never gave up on the challenge! They kept at it until the dryer was fixed. Then when I gave Cristian a check for the repair, he said he'd not cash it for a few days to make certain the dryer worked. A couple of days later he texted to make sure all was well. Christian just came to fix my microwave which was turning on when I opened the door. He was extremely nice to deal with on initial contact To arrange an appointment time and informed me by text message when he was coming and he was very respectful of my request that he be masked and wear shoe covers. When he got here he told me that he was training another employee who was going to be arriving soon, however I told him that it was important that I limit the number of people coming into the house because my husband is disabled and is in the very high risk population. He was very respectful of my concerns and the second technician did not come in my home. He also put on disposable gloves before starting to work. He was very personable and explained what the problem was and fixed it quickly. I would highly recommend him if you need your appliance fixed. read more

My LG gas dryer stopped heating a few weeks ago, and I searched online for a repair shop that specializes in servicing LG equipment and used LG OEM parts.  I picked Teckrom Appliance Repair Services because they clearly stated they specialize in Samsung and LG repair with certified technicians.  Their website also indicated they had a warranty on labor; I had no idea what that was about.  I was able to schedule a repair for a few days later.  The technician (Erick Lony) came out to diagnose the problem, but the dryer had started working again.  Erick was very patient and did multiple tests, including operating the dryer with damp clothes.  Luckily, the dryer stopped heating during testing, and Erick was able to take the dryer apart and test components.  He even was able to bypass the interlocks and operate the dryer while it was apart.  The darn dryer started working again and would not fail.  Since there was certainly a problem of some sort, Eric analyzed that it was probably one of two components, and possibly a third component that was an expensive gas valve assembly.  We decided to replace both the less expensive components in order to not have to guess which of the two it actually was.  Eric didn't have the required parts, so he reassembled the dryer.  He had the part ordered and the Teckrom office personnel (Dee), called me a few days later to tell me the part was in and we arranged a time for installation.  Eric came out a few days later and replaced the two parts, and the dryer was working great when he left.  A few days later it again failed to heat.  I called Teckrom to tell them my dryer was again not heating.  They decided it must be the gas valve, and they ordered the part.  A few days later Dee called me to arrange a time convenient to me for Eric to come out and repair the dryer.  Eric came out and quickly took the dryer apart, replaced the gas valve assembly, and reassembled the dryer.  He tested the dryer for quite some time and it operated normally.  We could tell the heater (flame) was staying on longer than before, so I am reasonably sure the new gas valve assembly was making a difference.  Presently, the dryer is working fine.  Oh, I found out what the "warranty on labor" thing was all about.  I was only charged for gas valve assembly; I was not charged any labor to disassemble the dryer and replace the gas valve assembly.  I am impressed and glad I chose Teckrom Appliance Repair Services, and will use them the next time I have an appliance failure.  Teckrom charged me $150 for the gas valve assembly.  It would have cost me $198.46 (before taxes) online at partswarehouse.com.  So let me summarize by indicating (1) the Teckrom technician was very professional, knowledgeable, polite, and very methodical on how he performed the repair, (2) Dee at the Teckrom office was polite, informative, and was able to accommodate my schedule, (3) the price Teckrom charges for the OEM parts is better than what I found online, and (4) you can't beat the Teckrom warranty on labor.  I am sure my savings will buy me several bottles of very good wine. read more

I picked this company to repair our JennAir oven because of the excellent reviews they've received on Yelp. The technician arrived on time and seemed nice enough. He couldn't really give us a straight answer at first because he said he had to do more research. He explained he would do the research and email me the next day. I felt good about the service once he left and waited for his email so we could get the repair completed. Well, it's been almost 10 days now I have yet to hear back from the service technician or anyone from Teckrom. I refuse to follow up myself because it's their responsibility if they want my business. Technician said problem with washer leak was caused by high water pressure. His solution was to turn down the supply valves. That worked for 1 month. Another company's technician found a sock stuck in the soap dispenser supply to the tub. Teckrom refunded the service charge when they found out I was disappointed. read more

My LG refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling one afternoon. I searched Yelp and found Teckrom. Cristian called me the same night and ran through some questions with me and advised me to call LG to obtain a letter of authorization to get the cost of the compressor covered since it was still under warranty. We had some issues getting a technician out to the house initially since Cristian was going on vacation. Once he returned, Cristian was able to get a tech to the house the next day. Gabriel showed up with a mask on and took off his shoes when he entered the house. Wow! I can't imagine a better experience. The first place I called didn't even come out. They told me that it would be $295 to fix my washer. The second place I called wanted $65 to even come look at my washer. And then I called Teckrom. I requested a quote through yelp. They got back to me within 5 minutes with a service appointment for the next morning. They worked with me to get the job done before I went to work. They were on time and really efficient. The repair man was not only quick but honest. The other companies I called wanted me to replace the pump but he ran my machine and only needed to clean out the filter. A week ago I contacted Teckrom to repair my Jenn Air refrigerator Model # jfc2290vep0. It was not holding temperature properly in the freezer or refrigerator. Gabriel was able to come out the next day. Gabriel diagnosed that my coils were VERY dirty (I had not cleaned them in 5 years) and that cleaning them was the first logical step in diagnosing my problem. Gabriel did a very thorough job cleaning the coils ($85) and we decided to see if that resolved the problem. The next day the refrigerator was still having problems, so Gabriel came back over (at no charge) and replaced something in the starter that fixed the problem. Gabriel was very knowledgeable and professional and explained everything he was doing. I really appreciated his approach of trying the least expensive options first.
