First, employees were all respectful, welcoming, and professional. Second, the store was very clean and well maintained, with everything neatly organized. Third, the customer service was phenomenal. Once we asked for our boot sizes we were offered a complementary drink which we enjoyed. Not knowing if we would purchase something we were still treated like a valued customer. Closing time was approaching and instead of rushing us out we were offered another complimentary drink to enjoy before checking us out. My wife and I both purchased our first pair of boots and after that experience we are already thinking about when we want to return to get our second pair. Lastly, the store had a promotion where if you buy a pair of boots you get a matching belt for free, which was a steal. I also want to mention how great the quality of the items are. What an amazing brand and store this is. I finally got my first pair of boots from TECOVAS. Thanks to my lady for gifting them to me as my Valentines gift. Ever since I read their story and the process of making a handmade boot, I was eager to get my hands on a pair. You can really see the quality and every single detail that was put in to them. Not only do they have amazing quality and are very styling, but they are also handmade in Nuevo León Mexico. The inside of the store is amazing the whole set up they got going on gives a great vibe. They have it very nicely organized very clean, and the lady's working there are super attentive, and friendly, very helpful. For my first pair of TECOVAS boots I went with THE DEAN in their scotch goat color. I really fell in love with the color and how styling they look. They feel so comfortable also. Tecovas finally opened here at Victoria Gardens! Quality boots and apparel for western wear fashion. Clothing not entirely western and can still pair with sneakers and jeans. Just happy to have some newer higher end boot options. Boots range from $250-$500. Clothing is comparable to other stores. So disappointed to leave this review, but don't want others to waste their money. Bought a pair of Cartwright boots in goat leather. Regular wear 1-3 days per week, we live in California so not real wet weather etc. Had some pretty significant defects after a little under a year. I emailed straight away with no response. Had to chase them for a year to get someone to respond. Finally they asked for photos. I sent them away and they responded by quickly by saying this is normal wear and tear however their standard 6 month warranty would have expired anyway. Any bootmaker worth value of boots would laugh at a 6 month warranty under normal wear and tear. This is just another new startup that sacrificed quality and integrity for a little slick marketing to make a quick buck. Spend an extra $100 and get a real pair of boot from someone who cares about their product. read more

We went to Tecovas with some friends tonight, little did we know they offer complimentary beer and whiskey while you browse their selection of boots, such awesome service! The entire staff working was friendly and helpful, they all offered suggestions and were very knowledgeable. I had no intentions of purchasing boots tonight, but my wife and I both got a pair. Added bonus, if you're a first responder they give you a discount. Don't forget that they offer free branding on all their boots, I got my last name. Boots are great quality and you can tell they're made to last. It's not the cheapest, but for the quality and service it's definitely worth it! So I walked in a week before. And wasn't attended to or acknowledged for about 30min. In their defense it was slightly busy but not enough to even be greeted with a hello. I see others get there after I did and were attended to... luckily, a couple noted that I had been there waiting before them. I came in for the Emmitt's in ostrich. They didn't have them but we tried other boots similar for fitment. I noted the size 3/4 times. She asked me again before placing the order and running my card and noted it was a half size bigger than she said. I thought I saw her change it and she asked me to tap. I show up a week later to pick the boots up. I was really excited. And they were a half size smaller than what I ordered. She placed the order for a smaller size anyway. Management then provided to options for refund and add a re-order. She failed to mention the time for the refund would be 3-5 business days and charged my card again. Feels terrible to have paid twice for a boot I can't take home. I know I'm getting a r fund and my boot but that's not until next week for both. Really just a crappy feeling. read more

Definitely felt sized up when I walked in... was browsing for 20 min until I flagged someone down to help me. I had already done my research, so I knew what exactly what I wanted to try on when I go there and let me tell you.. I apparently don't fit the demographic yall want to be wearing your boots even though my family is from Leon where you source your leather.. the irony in that is pretty funny. I was giving the wrong size of boots, pawned off to another associate, then given the right size but not EE-wide like I asked for twice. I went in with the intention to buy two pairs one for work and another to go out but left with nothing. Then I saw people were given drinks while I was event given a second look. I drove up to this location from San Diego 2 days after there opening and had a wonderful experience. I had purchased boots online and they were slightly to tight. After arriving at this location the staff was more than accommodating and helpful assisting me find the correct size and also a more comfortable style for my flatter feet with a lower heal. It's a bummer when the only Tecovas store in California has employees with pretty bad customer service. Visited here the first week of December with some friends. Two employees with a demeanor was very pretentious and stuck up which didn't make the experience at all pleasant. Really wish employees knew the impact they make on the shopping experience. It really ruins it when you've been wanting to visit the store. It makes a bad impression on the company over all. Poor Customer Service from the entire staff. On Saturday evening, November 4, 2023, my son was insulted and embarrassed by the staff. He went to Tecova at Victoria Gardens location in Rancho Cucamonga along with his girlfriend and a few buddies looking into purchasing a hat from the location. He was measured for the hat fitting and what occurred after was extremely humiliating and unprofessional and unacceptable from all the employees on duty. His head measurement apparently larger than the employees have ever witnessed. They made it known to each other, saying out loud across the store to each other about how big my sons head measured. An employee emerged from the back room asking across the store " how big is his head", upon the employees answering, he responded with " that's a big head". It's obvious my son didn't purchase anything and left. He shrugged it off to us upon arriving at home with his girlfriend and friends. They all recanted the story and continued to say how unprofessional and ignorant of the employees to treat someone. I am in HR and this type of behavior is completely unacceptable. If this happened to my son, I can only imagine it happened to others. I don't know if your employees go through any type of harassment training but they need to ASAP. In the state of California, it's mandatory. My son asked to not contact corporate office or anything and to just leave it be but I refuse to let anyone treat anyone like this. Went in today with my dad who has a bit of Alzheimer's. He has been a Tecovas customer for a few years. Maddie and Adrian were amazing with my dad. He tends to repeat himself and sometimes doesn't understand. Their service was awesome. They were patient, professional, and so friendly with him. Maddie helped resolve his issue with his boots and Adrian help with answering questions about inserts no matter how many times dad repeated himself.
