Came in to check if I can get a nail out and my tire patched. They said they couldn't because it was in a bad spot but it wasn't I'm pretty sure they just wanted to sell me a new tire. So I asked if I can just get my car back and think about it, because note this I had my car parked for a few days before I took it to get it checked and no air was leaking my tire pressure was fine nothing popped up on my dash I just wanted to take my car and go I been at this place for an hour already. So the lady it's just being very persistent and I didn't need the tire fixed right there and then I just wanted to get it checked out as I have another car it wasn't a big deal as I told the lady but she was very pushy so I just gave in bought a damn new tire so I waited again for another hour maybe longer so I get my keys and leave just to NOTICE that all of my tires are so low and just blinking like crazy so I go back and tell them that I need air in my tires that they are low and some guy in the back tells me to drive it for a little while and it will go away so annoyed I was like okay and left I drove it and guess what it never went away so this guy and lady in front had no idea of what they where talking about. I'm sooo angry that I bought anything from them. Don't even bother coming here drive a little more down the road if you want anything done right. I had to bring my car to my dealership just to get it drive able again because my tires where just so low on air all they had to do was put air on my tires the first time I asked when I go my car back. I have been taking my truck here because my father loved this place, 2 weeks ago my husband took my truck for a oil change, tire rotation a belt change and some other stuff kinda when we humans go for a wellness check up. Oh no my husband left and when he gets home one of the rim caps come off to our surprise it came off because it was broken!! Some special key the rims come with wasn't place back in my truck, next day he goes in and they give him the key back and the "tech" tells him oh yeah the top kind of crack but well put a wash on it and that should hold it. Now im driving around with a ugly eye soring wash on my rim. I understand accident happen but why not tell us look it crack or something a call hey we forgot to give you the key to the rims back. Wow so I have been taking my car to ted weins for all service since purchasing in 2013. They always do all point inspections and cover all and any repairs needed. In 2018 they totally missed covering the report with me, but listed on invoice customers declined all repairs. When I called to discuss this concern, they covered the inspection saying you need tires yesterday . Good thing I called as I was going out of town the next day. Since then all inspections have been covered. So I go in in June this year for my oil change, when they cover the inspection they say you need tires asap, I then asked how soon as I explained I had to travel. I was then told they are unsafe....I again was taken back to the fact, that nothing was mentioned in the previous inspections at the previous oil changes that they were getting worn, low or nothing. How could this be when they "Rotate" the tires at each oil change. So now I'm in a situation where I fear for the safety of myself or anyone one the road that I might blow a tire. So if the tires were rotated cosistently, would they not have seen the tread wearing. If this were the case it would of prevented stress , anxiety and a suprise cost of $650. We were driving through Vegas when it was 104 degrees (isn't it always?) and blew a tire. We were traveling with two cats and managed to limp off the freeway into a parking lot. Looking down the street, I saw Wien's Auto Service sign. We managed to get the car there, they prioritized our tire job (and let us bring the cats into the air conditioned lobby), and got us back on the road in less than an hour! The people who work at Ted Wiens on E. Craig Road were very helpful, especially Scott. On May 14, 2019, the battery light came on and we lost power steering on our 2001 Toyota Camry. This occurred on E. Craig Road. It turns out that we had a broken serpentine belt and bent pulley. The staff diagnosed and fixed the problem with our car within a few hours. They made a stressful situation much more bearable. We would highly recommend this particular location. read more

They said it would be 1 to 1.5 hours to get in then here's what happened: Me: OK, I'll run some errands and bring it back in an hour. Them: Well we can't hold your spot. Me: But if I bring it back in an hour when there is a spot, you wouldn't be holding my spot. It would be like I was sitting here the whole time but got a couple other things done in the meantime. I had to get new tires on my Dodge Challenger SRT8. I was a bit nervous at first because I had a dealer damage my last Challenger by lifting it improperly and they (the Dealership) had damaged the rocker panels. So when I met Steve who works at Ted Wiens, he immediately put me at ease and told me if I wanted to I could watch his folks work on my car. Finding people who will deal with you fairly in the auto industry is difficult. Ted Weins is no exception to the shady dealings we go through with any car repair shop. One of their service advisors, Steve, was adamant about the establishment's honesty, but when it came down to it, he was more concerned with upselling me on things my car didn't really need than providing the insurance necessary to deal with a popped tire. Literally a month ago, Steve sold me 4 tires and got me to buy power steering fluid. Though, it was my choice to buy insurance on tires, I needed his advice because I was unfamiliar with the importance of the insurance. He blew off the need for it. Unfortunately, I needed it soon after my purchase of the tires. He decided to sell me a tire again. At that point I took my business elsewhere permanently. I would never use this company again. I had my tires rotated one day. I picked up my car and began to drive on the freeway. I had to step on the breaks hard (driving about 65) and I felt a jerk and loud noise. I drove to the nearest tire shop, they put my car on the lift to check it out. They said whoever put your back tire on didn't tighten the lug nuts. They said I was very lucky my wheel didn't come off. I called Ted Wiens and told them what happened...all the manager said was oh sorry, we have a new guy, someone should have checked his work. Nice company and customer service. Warranty means nothing to these people. If you go here and they try to get you to buy a battery that has a 5 year warranty on it you might want to think twice. In March 2013 I took my car into the shop because there was a strange odor coming form the engine. The told me they found the issue and that the battery also needed to be replaced (Which I already knew). So i told them t go ahead and replace it. They gave me several options price-wise and I asked what the warranty was. Living in Las Vegas I know Batteries tend to die easily so I opted for the 5 year warranty battery because I was told that if anything were to happen in the next 5 years it would be replaced for free. The thing they failed to tell me was that the battery was free but they would charge you an arm and a leg to change it. It is now October 2014 and the battery has died. I have to have my car jumped off to get it anywhere. I call Ted Wiens and they pull the records and inform me that I do have the 5 year warranty and to bring the car in and they will take care of me. They open at 7 am so I figure if I am down there by 9 then that should be fine. I walk into the location at 9:05 am PST and there is a gentleman (Scott) that tells me he will be with me shortly. 9:20 am PST rolls around and he finally asks what he can do for me. I tell him I called yesterday and he remembers talking to me. Says that he will test it and if it is bad then they will replace it. I said, "Ok perfect, I will just be here waiting." Meanwhile there is only 1 other person ahead of me in the bays and about 4-5 people standing around. Finally 11:50 rolls around (2.5 Hours Later) and I am informed it is bad and they replaced the battery for free but that I have to pay $20 for the test and $50 for Labor even though it is under warranty I have to pay for them to replace it. The battery was only $114 but you charged me $70 to replace it so the extra $90 I spent on the battery for 5 years didn't do anything. I still had to pay $70 for them to replace it. They actually put me in the hole for the warranty because it doesn't cover jack. Don't waste your time or money. Go to AutoZone and have them do it. Far better service and it's not out the butt to have it corrected. read more

We can't begin to describe how grateful we are to Ryan and Kevin at the 3841 E. Craig Road location. We can say that they probably saved our lives. While driving south on 15 just out of Mesquite, our car began to make a strange noise. I called the mechanics that prepped our car for a 10 hour drive to Mexico so that he could give us his thoughts on what was going on with our car. Nothing he suggested helped. By the time we reached Vegas the noise had greatly increased. We called several locations along the way that would have required several hours wait time. On a whim we took an exit and saw the Firestone Tire & Auto Center. After my husband explained the situation, Ryan came out and after the driving our car he talked to the manager, Kevin. Within 10 minutes our car was on the rack and they discovered the problem - the drivers side front wheel was held on by only 1 lug nut! These kind gentleman resolved the problem and we were back on the road within 40 minutes, free of charge. To say that we will always be grateful to this business is an understatement! read more

Had a pin hole in my tire and took it there to get fixed. Found out the next day that instead of just patching the tire, they drilled the whole bigger and put a plug in it. I called and asked why they plugged it and they said that's all they do! Even after I got the guy to admit that patches or plug patches are better, he said I don't know why they don't. Charged me $21 to put a plug in the tire. I could of used the plug kit out of my glove box to do the same thing for 1/4 the price. read more

They failed me for having a gas mileage chip connected to the port which they could have advised me to remove or it would be an automatic fail, Its a Visual thing (like having a check engine light on). NO that's not what happened. The smog tech took my car parked in the stall looked at it then went to the bathroom for about 10 min. Went back to my car and came back Failed. About 45 miles North of Vegas on I-15 and a rear tire blew on our motorhome...Good Sam Roadside had us on hold for over three hours...Highway Patrol called a tow truck but the company sent the wrong kind of truck....sitting out on the interstate for SIX HOURS in 115+ degree heat....we called Keith and he jumped on it right away!
