Called and made an appointment, took the day off work, and no show, no call. I called at the end of the day and was told by Ted that he could do it another day. Are you serious? If you didn't want the project or missed the appointment, you or your scheduler could have just called to let me know. 2nd plumber in a row to let me down. Ted is reasonably priced and very responsive. Also he is very honest and does not try to upsell (like other companies). He has done 3 jobs for me - replaced the drains and faucet sets (3) for my home that was built in 2006. Builder grade so everything is starting to need replacing, sadly He also recently replaced the outside water valve to house - all three parts, main valve to house, valve to sprinkler and master Regulator. Ted is the man!!! For three straight days, we tried our best to unclog our kitchen sink (the only thing we did not attempt was to remove the p trap). On the fourth day, we decided to reach out to Ted's Plumbing because we've heard nothing but great things from our friend who uses him all the time. When I reached him by phone, he was at another customer's house, but he said he would call me back shortly. As promised, Ted gave me a call within an hour. I explained the situation and he was at our door within 45 minutes. They fixed my issue over the phone. I will call Ted for anything water related in the future. Middle of a Tuesday afternoon and one of my sprinkler control units failed miserably and water was bursting on the fence but Ted's Plumbing talked me through shutting off the water to just the sprinklers but keep water to the house so i could stop the issue now (new home owner). I found Ted's Plumbing on Yelp and called for a quick quote to replace two toilets, and to ask him to come out to our house so he could provide a detailed quote for a small bathroom renovation. Ted provided a clear quote over the phone for replacing the two toilets and he explained how we could choose our desired toilet model from one of the big hardware store chains and he would pick it up and bring it on the date we did the work. Ted did a fine job on the toilet installations and he even returned a week later without any hassle to replace the leaking factory fill valves that came with the toilets. We also had him replace our 8-year old water heater, per his recommendation. His quote for the small bathroom remodel fit our budget, so we used him for that job also. Kitchen sink garbage disposal replacement done perfectly & most importantly on my requested time for same day service. Ted's phone number is his cell phone so you don't have to go through answering services or a formal scheduler. Ted answered the call on the first ring and even though he was busy at work for another client, he told me he could fit me in to today's Friday afternoon schedule. Perfect response as the first plumber I used previously could not fit me into his schedule for another 3 days and I didn't want to be without use of my kitchen sink through the weekend. Ted has been in the plumbing business since 1988 so he knows what he is doing. His pricing is fair and I feel much more confident hiring a plumber rather than a handyman just to save a few dollars; loved Ted's comment about cheap is not skilled and skilled is not cheap! Only disappointment was that the disposal being replaced...seals broken...was only 2 years old and will not recommend a Whirlpool disposal to anyone! Ted recommended and installed an Insinkerator Badger 5...same horsepower but much quieter and smaller than the junky "short life" Whirlpool. Will use Ted's Plumbing for future plumbing needs as my prior plumber requires advance scheduling and Ted's pricing seems lower than Linck's. It was a Sunday, maybe a year ago or tad longer, that Ted was working on an emergency job across the street form me. In fact, I helped him as my neighbor was on vacation and he was short of parts (consider me an amateur handy guy and I have a stash of plumbing parts on hand for my own emergency). When he was finished with that job, I asked Ted about installing an expansion tank on my water heater. He agreed to do it. During the install, I noticed he was using brass pipes that were connected to galvanized pipes. I asked him about that since I know you must isolate one type of metal touching another type. He assured me it would not be a problem. So here we are, one plus year down the road, where I spotted Galvanic Corrosion on the outside of a pipe. And it is a good thing I spotted it now before it got worse. You can see the corrosion inside that pipe and that water was feeding into my water heater. I decided to fix the problem myself. I know, it was a Sunday when Ted was here. I know, Ted has many positive reviews here. Don't get me wrong, he is a nice guy and I am sure he is well liked by his clients. But I could have waited a few more days until he had the correct pipes and fittings for this job instead of the "get it done and pay me now service" I got.
