I would give this restaurant a 4 for dinner alone. What I really love is to go during Happy Hour and load up on small plates and cocktails. The teikoku rolls and spider rolls are my favorites. The service has always been good and I love the sushi. I'm still a lightweight when it comes to fancy foods so I won't declare on that. read more

I have passed this place several times and always wanted to try it, so I stopped there for lunch this past Monday. I first noticed the decor and the ambiance of the restaurant. It had a very relaxing atmosphere. The lights were dimmed and the small cocktail lounge worked well. The staff was pretty average. From the hostess to the waiter, there wasn't anything that set them apart from other servers. They were both professional and nice, but not very talkative at all. Just kind of all business. The food took a little long to come out, but when it did, it was so delicious. I ordered the Japanese Lunch Box which came with so much food. My friend ordered the tuna with mashed yams and plantains. Overall, a great restaurant. The price wasn't too bad for the food that we ordered. This is the site of our annual holiday party and what a fun time we have! The service is always attentive despite the relative madness of 100+ guests pouring into their main dining room! I have been here in two other occasions and if not for the location I would come here a lot more often! I highly recommend the Chicken satay, Pad Thai, and Dragon Roll. Admittedly this is all I have eaten from their menu, but if I venture here it's solely because I have a pad Thai or sushi craving! The restaurant is large and features a private party room for small gatherings, an outdoor patio for nicer weather, a full service bar and beautiful restrooms! I've been here many times. It's very close and convenient to my house. They're always pretty busy and there always seems to be a crowd there. Even though it's not necessary, it's recommended that you call ahead and reserve a table just in case. My girlfriend and I came here one Sunday evening for dinner and we were seated at the sushi bar. We ordered some salads and sushi. The food tasted pretty fresh and we were both pretty full. The service was great and the waiter kept coming around to see how we were doing but not being too pushy and over-doing it. If you like asian foods then you'll like this place. My favorite roll is the Teikoku--- its soo light and fresh with the cucumber, I sometimes just get this roll and nothing else. My first impression of the place was that it's an Asian restaurant yet there is only 1 asian employee: the sushi chef - to be seen. I was a little skeptical at first but decided to try it anyways. We ordered the rock shrimp tempura and spring rolls for appetizers. They were delicious. For our entrees, I ordered the Godzilla roll without avocado- $17. I honestly don't know what I was thinking coz its a sushi with strawberries on top - not a good combo. Other entrees we ordered were regular tuna and salmon rolls and they were nothing special. We also ordered some sashimi, which we thought was overpriced. The service is subpar but the overall quality of the food isn't justifiable with the price. Went to day for a business lunch. Waitstaff was very friendly and efficient. No rush, but on the job. My dining partner wanted to eat light, so I skipped the Kobe app. :( We split some Gyowzas (very tender) and both ordered sushi. I went for the set that included 6 pieces of fresh nigiri and a roll (actually various samples.) Came with a LARGE miso soup and even larger salad with ginger dressing. Everything was very fresh, including the various fish for the nigiri. I would absolutely eat here again. My husband and I recently moved to the Delaware County area from New Jersey and are both sushi lovers. We have been struggling to find a great sushi place. We have definitely found a good sit-down sushi restaurant! For my birthday, my husband made a reservation here for dinner. The hosts were friendly, greeted us, and seated us immediately. The ambiance was very nice. My only disappointment was that they seated us in the side room when there seemed to be plenty of space in the main dining area. Although the side room was a bit quieter (a pro), I did feel as though we were missing out on some of the fun. We ordered two appetizers- steamed dumplings and a special dumpling with lobster. Both were good, although I think the lobster dumplings were a bit overpriced for the amount of food you got. For an entree, we ordered 2 basic rolls and a special roll, all of which were delicious. We both ordered saki martinis, which were very good. Overall, the service was great and we would definitely return for special occasions or once in a while. With a new executive chef, Mr. Aoyama, this restaurant turned around. We had chef's recommendation, Omakase, five courses. Each dish was excellent. The last course before desert was sushi platter: toro, striped jack, red snapper, squid, Boston mackerel and spicy tuna rolls. They melted in my mouth. We are glad that we have a nice sushi restaurant in our area now. We would definitely go back soon. Next time, we will sit at the sushi counter and order chef's sushi recommendations. read more

Not worth the drive unless you live close by. If you've been to Azie the menu is very similar, same owners. The hostess sat us promptly and our server was very attentive. The place was clean and fairly large. We started off with the chicken wings and yellowtail ceviche, the wings were good, but the ceviche was served as 4 slices of sashimi yellowtail with just a heaping of sliced red onions and a few jalapeños, I was surprised the yellowtail wasn't diced, but for $12 the price wasn't bad, just not really ceviche. For dinner we had the duck, very nice! And the sashimi platter (I forget the name, but it was about $18). I was disappointed with the sashimi platter since the menu stated 2 slices of each fish, but in reality it was one slice of sashimi cut in half and stacked for each fish. read more

Ok the sushi was a 5 star it is incredible and it keeps bringing me back. My seaweed salad was alright but really nothing special. I ordered the Kobe beef hot rock which was a nice entrée but it was so small. If it weren't for the sushi i would have still been hungry when i left. This is the best sushi place I have been to since moving to Delaware county. We came here for our anniversary dinner and we got oysters, yellowtail ceviche, small chef selections. We arrived at 7pm on New Year's Eve and easily got a spot at the sushi bar. 3 of the 4 sushi chefs appeared to be Mexican vs Asian, but they had great attitudes and greeted us with happy smiles. They were amazing in their ability to crank out the variety of rolls that go thru this restaurant! The 4th guy appeared to be the Japanese sushi master and he did all the nigiri and sashimi. The fish was very fresh and yummy, we had uni, ikura, salmon, maguro, and a King Kong roll. All the sushi in this area seems to be at the same price point, and this was better quality than most (we have tried them all, as we lived in Japan for years and really miss that high quality sushi). Clean taste, no fishu smell, and nice, firm texture. Staff was friendly and attentive too. I recommend this sushi bar, but can't comment on the "other Asian" food. read more

I am fascinated at the use of the strawberries, honey and nuts in a sushi roll, and it was hard only chosing a few dishes to try! My girlfriend used to work here in high school and hadn't been in years, so we decided to go. It's a bit pricey, but there are gems here. The gyoza was exceptionally fresh and delicious. We scarfed it down quickly. My green tea came as a shock. I default to it in a Japanese restaurant and excpect it to be pretty standard, but this was exceptional. It had a nuttier, sweeter taste to it than usual. It tasted more like warm green tea ice cream (which I love). I ordered two rolls. One house one I don't recall (it was good, but not exceptional). I took a risk with the other: the Mexican Roll. My girlfriend was not convinced it would be any good. Well, it was. It was amazing. The sushi chef somehow pulled off making it taste like a burrito, but retain some of it's Asian heritage in the preparation. I was astounded. It was really, really good. I could convince my girlfriend to try it, though. For a spot out in the 'burbs it has a surprisingly eclectic, unexpected menu. We met our friends here yesterday for a 7:45 reservation and waited to be seated for 30 minutes. That doesn't bother me much when you can tell the restaurant is having a busy night but the table before us received an immense amount of apologies and then drinks/apps on the house for their wait. We finally sat and ordered. Our appetizer was cold and then we waited even longer for our entrees. One entree was cold, I guess because it sat waiting for the other three to be prepared. By the time we left we had been sitting for over 2 hours. At that point we didn't even want to see the dessert menu and asked for the check immediately. I had shrimp tempura and a mongolian style beef dish; both of which were very good.
