    Potato&&Chorizo Taco

    First time trying this place and I was not disappointed at all! I ordered through Uber Eats. They did accidentally give me a taco I did not order, but it did not go to waste lol. All the tacos were fantastic. I really enjoyed the speciality Chilaquiles taco, I would get it again!! Next was the bean and cheese, can never go wrong with that. The chorizo and egg was good, not great but I would still eat again.

    Nestled in a corner of a strip mall in Stone Oak, this taqueria has a quaint feel to it. With plenty of sitting room, the music engulfs the listening ear. When here, you can count on a fresh salsa bar. The drink station offers a variety of fresh juices, along with the standard Coca-Cola drink machine. Today, my choice is Pozole. It was delivered fresh by the courteous staff. The pozole was accompanied by 2 crisp tortillas and fresh iceberg lettuce. It was just what I was looking for today.

    Wow! In a BAD way. Had chorizo and egg with frijoles tacos . They where unacceptable. This did not taste authentic at all. The worst part is that I paid ten dollars for it. Don't believe the reviews. Staff was polite , food is not good.

    AMAZING TACOS! Such a cute little drive through spot for tacos! We ate in the small dining area inside! Service was super quick! Will definitely be coming back!

    There are actually a few El Taco locations, but they do not seem to be affiliated. This one is the best location, according to my daughter. It's in Stone Oak Village, a strip mall. This is my daughter's favorite place in San Antonio for street tacos. On Mondays, that's the special of the day. She gets the el pastor and chicken. I tried both and liked the chicken the best. The chicken is marinated in lime juice and is unique and flavorful. The pork was a bit too fatty for my liking... maybe I just got a bad one. Since my daughter makes fabulous tacos herself, I opted for something light and different. I ordered the chicken fajita salad. The menu indicated that it comes with chips and pico, but it didn't. Instead, it was topped with tomatoes. And there was beans (that weren't mentioned on the menu) at the bottom. Also, I would've thought that chicken "fajita" would include onions, but it didn't. With maybe a teaspoon of guacamole, the salad was bland and fell flat, especially for the price. I will say that the taco bowl that it came in was fantastic. Just when I think SA has reached maximum-taco-shop capacity, more crop up! With all the five star reviews for breakfast, I had to give it a try. Menu is a mix of classic and modernized tacos, along with plates for breakfast and lunch. My go-to bfast taco is potato, egg, and cheese, with bacon- go big or go home, right? This spot has a few specialty tacos with a bunch of different stuff thrown in. The "Dumpster" has a little bit of everything (potato, egg, bean, bacon, cheese, carne guisada)- fun mix of flavors, but I felt their carne guisada was lacking the savory punch of spices I love. The "L Taco special" (potato, beef fajita, cheese, avocado)- solid. My mom digs this taco, the creaminess of the avocado keeps it from being dry. The Norteno is a classic done well (beans, jack cheese, fajita, and guac), better with chicken than beef, or it gets too heavy to me. A better version than Las Palapas! Service is friendly and they have a loyalty program/stamp card. In addition to having a ton of different tacos, you also have your choice of THREE types of tortillas. This is almost choice overload (I dig the Harina Tex-Mex), just let me eat them already!

    Breakfast tacos were really small and they had hardly any egg in the taco. But their salsa bar was really good.

    The reviews don't do the place justice. The food was hot and good. The service was great. I am glad I didn't pay attention to the reviews.

It was delicious! The concha was soft, buttery and flaky, with just the right sweetness. We took home the majority of it and it stayed nice and soft instead of turning hard like so many others. We decided to try several appetizers to go along with our concha to get a wider taste of their food than we would by just ordering a couple entrees. Let me tell you, this was a great idea! We ordered the Tosti-Ceviche Verde, Panela Asado, Mexican Street Corn, and their Spicy Bean Dip. The Ceviche Verde was excellent, the freshness of the fish and shrimp was wonderful with the chipotle mayo and avocado. We chose to have it on the salsa Verde Tostitos and it was all great combination. The Panelo Asado was a completely new dish for us and was extremely good with a savory flavor from the salsa Tlaquepaque that mixed well with the Panela cheese. Their tortillas though not made in house, are made for them and taste like mom made them. The Mexican Street Corn was great and had the perfect bit of char taste from the corn. It was creamy and flavorful, we did think it could use just a tad more lime juice though. The Spicy Bean Dip was very good. You can't go wrong with Oaxaca, Chorizo, and pieces of pork mixed with some mildly spicy beans. Our server was fantastic. She had great recommendations for us, and was quick with checking on our drinks and generally helping us throughout our dinner. The food was prepared quickly, was hot, tasteful and refreshing. We definitely will be going back, and recommend Pan Fila to all of you.
