Not sure why this place has such bad reviews. I had a pretty good experience with them. I had actually contacted another service provider and they quoted me with a much more expensive price as well as an appointment date that was 2 weeks away (not to mention they diagnosed the wrong issue with my refrigerator!). With Tekniton, they came out the following day I contacted them, diagnosed the problem, ordered the parts, and was back in 2 days to fix it. The technician came in the time frame he said he would come and was gone in about 2 hours. And a plus is that he wore shoe covers before entering the house so I really appreciated that! read more

Working with them over 1 month to fix a Samsung refrigerator that as it turns out, the tech mis-diagnosed the problem, so they were going to charge me for a compressor that was not broken. Tekniton has poor customer service. They don't answer their phones. I could never get through to them. Samsung had to call them on my behalf. They've come over my house twice to fix my Samsung fridge. Did not fix it. They called me on Tuesday to schedule and confirm an appointment on Friday. They called, left a message to cancel the appt on Thursday, no explanation why and Samsung had to call them to find out that they have to wait for a part. Never get a Samsung appliance. I was referred to Tekniton for the repair of my dryer. First, I was scheduled for an appointment for Friday , then they changed it to Monday a hour later. On Friday , they now tell me the don't have a common heat element and they are not going do the inspection on Monday; because they can't get the part that they think they may need. Bought a Samsung washer/dryer set from home depot, and THIS is the only company they refer for repair, since it's under warranty. First appt. I wait 4 hours, they never showed up or called. 2nd appt. 2 weeks later, he shows up without calling, and leaves before I walk in from the backyard! He came back 30 minutes later. The problem with the washer was never found, but when he disconnected the dryer, the repairman crimped the gas line so bad, it tore a hole in it. And he told ME to go to home depot and buy a new one and install it myself! He did deduct $60 off my $100 fee just to unstack the washer/dryer...which I helped him do. Unbelievable. This company is a joke along with Samsung! They both love to point fingers at each other and the customers are the one who has to deal with the horrendous customer service. My Samsung TV is under warranty and had my 1st initial appt booked with this company which took 2 weeks and like many other reviews, they canceled the day prior to my appt. Stating the parts will not arrive in time and that they don't know when they will receive it. So we called Samsung and they weren't even aware of the appt being canceled and upon further investigation a rep stated the part has shipped. Then the Samsung rep attempts to contact Tekniton to schedule another appt. After holding for awhile, the Samsung rep states someone will contact me top schedule an appointment tomorrow. So tomorrow came and went with no contact. Called Samsung again to inform them and of course all they do is say im sorry but.. .blah...blah...blahhhh. again we were informed by Samsung rep that someone was going to call us tomorrow (sat) and what a shocker....no call again. After numerous back and fort we finally rescheduled our appt! But took another week! Our technician Veniamin, was useless and a joke! He replaced our board and actually made the situation worse! Now the TV is glitching and he 1st blamed the remote control. Then he checked the batteries for it and it was still good as I informed him that we changed the batteries. We told him that the TV turns on/off by itself without the remote control being touched... and he said yes that can happen... then all of a sudden the remote works and still the TV is having a hard time connecting with the internet and now he states, "oh your internet is not working"....hmmmm....interesting because all of our devices are working ands I even asked Alexa to play music which it did and he was surprised... so now he states that he needs a remote control to continue with whatever he has to do to troubleshoot the TV. He states that he will come by tomorrow Saturday 6/20/20 to finish troubleshooting the TV. So we are left with even a worse situation then what we originally started off with. So now it is Saturday 6/20/20 and of course no show no call... we called Veniamin M. and he stated that we had to contact the company and that he couldn't do anything on his end. We called the company and of course no answer because they are closed! We called him back and no answer! Im extremely frustrated at this situation!!! Totally unprofessional! Dont make promises knowing that you were not going to deliver! Veniamin knew his company's hours of operations and for him to schedule an appt with us on a Saturday and then we had to call him asking him where he was at is the epitome of incompetent/garbage of a service! When I first called Samsung about my less than a month old tv for a repair I was worried when they set up my appointment with this company from the previous reviews. I was reassured when the technician came for the appointment and actually knew what he was doing with the tv. It was a faulty lcd panel and not a back panel? (I have no clue about tvs!) They needed to order the part, and would be back out when it came. They called me when they got the part, set up an appointment the next day, and sent out the same technician from the previous appointment, Roman, who immediately came in, and fixed the tv. I have a Samsung Refrigerator that is 8 years old. I was unable to find a repair person in the Placerville area that could service it, so I called Samsung and they recommended TEKNITON. The company called and scheduled an appointment that was almost a week out. They gave me a window from 9-1, at 1:30 I called to find out why out why the tech was not here yet. The receptionist called him and was told that it would be another 20minutes and he would be here. He arrived at 3:15pm. I explained to him what the problem was and he then took the refrigerator aparht in the back and had to borrow my vacuum to clean out the dirt, he then had me take everything out of the refrigerator and then took apart some panels at the back of the refrigerator. He put everything back together and told me to let him know if the refrigerator got cold. He left telling me that he would order parts and come back - when asked he told me that if would be at least 5 days for the parts, he wasn't sure that would fix the problem and he had no idea how much it would cost. I had been assured when I mad the appointment that the techs always had the appropriate parts on their trucks to fix the problem. So 7 days later I called the company to see where things were with coming back out to finish, the receptionist tells me that Samsung will not ship what she called a "closed system" for the refrigerator because it was over 5 years old and based on that they could NOT fix the refrigerator. I would give this company a negative mark if I could. I would never recommend it to anyone. read more

I called them the next day to verify why the technician never showed up and they stated the technician came to my home and waited for half an hour and I never answered the door. This is completely false I stayed waiting at my home by the door not even 10 feet away on my couch and nobody ever showed up. They refused to help me and they stated that I should call Samsung and have a different Company come and do the repair because they will not be able to help me. I have had the same experience so far that others cited, including cancelling our appointment twice. The first time they claimed to not have received a part yet (not sure what part they are talking about since the haven't seen the issue yet). Today we had a second confirmed morning appointment, and just received another call 15 minutes before scheduled arrival to once again cancel. The customer service person told us to call them back if there was an issue. However, after trying several times to reach them by phone, my conclusion is that there is no way to call them back as their machine ends the call when no customer service person is available to pick up the line. @tekniton An absolute fucking shit show! Unresponsive, uncooperative, unknowing or knowledgeable and to think they are major corporation "authorized" maintenance specialist is baffling. I've been trying to get a call back regarding a service call that was conducted to repair my Samsung front load washer and to no avail has the washer been repaired nor has the call been returned. The story... I had an issue with the drain pump apparently. When the washer would attempt to drain I would get an error message stating check drain pump. I called Tekniton out to fix the isssue they replaced the pump charged me $$300+ for the job ran a "test" said it was good. so I thought. The tech and his "trainee" buttoned up the washer and left. Weekend comes and it's time to do laundry and I be damn if I'm not getting the exact same error message as I got before. I get them back on the phone and schedule let he tech to return and they do as scheduled and state this trip will be done at no charge. Well I'm m thinking I hope fucking so since it's not fixed. ‍ The tech arrives and goes through his diagnostics and discovers it's not the part he replaced but a computer board. Ok so I paid for a part that wasn't the issue. ‍. WTH... so how much oof the part I need? He gives me a price, but then says it's not in stock and they can't order it, recommends I try eBay but it's not guaranteed it'll work. Well NO SHIT SHERLOCK! I've called repeatedly for three weeks now attempting to recoup at least the labor cost for the part that was installed but each time I'm given the run around and told the area supervisor (Sacramento) would call me back. still waiting. Terrible customer service at the office. We had a recall on our machine and the tech came out on Friday, it still didn't fix our problem but he was kind enough to explain we would need to open a new ticket number etc. Fast forward a week later to the date of my new scheduled appt and no one shows up due to "us being too far away" and 2 other jobs needing to be done closer to where the tech is. We were told the tech came to our house and "they couldn't send him back", which was a total lie for one because the tech never came to our house! Then while trying to reschedule with the customer service re the call dropped so what do they do??? Cancel our ticket number!! I called back and they said "we canceled the ticket number because they thought my husband hung up on them". How would that even make sense, considering my machine is still broken?! There needs to be some serious training with the customer service representatives to ensure customer satisfaction. The blatant lies and holes in communication are pathetic. I would give zero stars is possible. The only reason I had to use them was because Samsung uses them as the only washer repair company in the entire Sacramento Metro area. I cannot get my washer to level, Home Depot did not help, so I called a local company with great Yelp reviews. The tech tried for at least 45 minutes to get the wager repaired so it would wobble and vibrate during the spin cycle. He could not repair it, so I got stuck with a $60 visit charge. Got Samsung involved and they had Tekniton send over a tech that couldn't have been a day over 18. He looked at the machine, shook it and said it was the pedestal and it was Home Depot's issue. Didn't even try to repair the leveling, didn't check out the spin cycle. Now stuck for two months with a barely operable washer and waiting while Home Depot and Samsung duke it out. And Tekniton has hold times of up to an hour to speak to a "customer service agent". read more

Their first visit was to simply replace the inverter for a total of $321.69 - out of warranty. This did nothing to fix the issue, they sent out technician 2nd time attempting to repair sealed system.... could not repair- now in the hands of Samsung. The 2nd technician advised to call the office and ask for the manager , "John" and of course, he is not in the office. A Technician can out to replace my door for my new Samsung refrigerator, my fridge was sitting in front of the cutout in the kitchen, where normally the fridge is suppose to be, the tech, after replacing the door proceeded to shove the fridge in, when my daughter said, it doesn't fit don't shove it in, he pulled it out and the sides were scratched. My daughter started to take pictures and he then started to do the same and became rude and condescending and laughing at my daughter & niece. I called the company and spoke to his boss who said that the fridge was already like that and these were not fresh scratches, I said, ok let's say for a minute that was the case, NO ONE asked him to push the fridge back why would he take the liberty to move my fridge without asking? The Manager said, well I can only go based on what my Tech says! Well durning this weekend the door has slid down and is not even leveled with the other door, I called Tekniton and explained that the door had slid, she said she spoke to the tech and he said my floor was not leveled and that Samsung had told him to leave it that way!!!! They are shady and horrible customer service!!! I called Samsung and they are sending a different company to my house as I told them I did not EVER want Tekniton in my house ever again. read more

Unfortunately Samsung, LG, and Sony use Tekniton for service in my area. Samsung setup service for my new dryer, Tekniton called, made an appointment with a window of 1-5pm on a Friday. The repairman didn't call or show up. I called Tekniton no answer or answering machine. I called Samsung to complain. Monday Tekniton called me and said "I'm calling to reschedule because you missed your appointment. The repairman called at 5:00 and you didn't answer your phone. I said " He's lying, if he called at all it was at 6:00pm, while I was on the phone complaining that he didn't show. That's an hour after he was to be at my house. I called the number back and no one answered my call, so I don't know that he called at all! The repairman is a liar and I don't want to do business with you." Then found out that they are the only repair service Samsung uses. It gets more complicated, lots of calling back and forth. Samsung said I could return the dryer. So Samsung would rather give my money back than find a better repair company. Tekniton has a 'F' rating with the Better Business Bureau, so why do good companies still do business with them?! read more

My Samsung TV stopped working after only 9 months. I'm unable to travel out of town without assistance and so Samsung Support put me in touch with Tekniton to do the repair in my home. The problem was NEVER resolved and whenever we called, we were given the run around. They are fine to take your money without providing anything in return. When the water dispenser stopped working on our four year old Samsung refrigerator, we called Samsung directly and they referred us to Tekniton as they were the ONLY authorized Samsung repair in Sacramento. Emmanual came out, charged us $90 and told us we had a block in the line he couldn't fix and to unplug it for a couple days to see if it was just ice. He also stated the water line if not ice was not replaceable. We followed instructions and it was ice but found we had a leak in the water line. I called Tekniton and was told that the water lines are NOT replaceable and we were out of luck. We then went to YouTube, found a video on how to replace the line, ordered the part for $45 and had it fixed in 30 minutes. So much for being a Samsung expert. read more

I used this company because it was the only sacramento supported Samsung repair company. Avoid using them if possible as the staff have no customer support skills whatsoever. Ask for the manager John and you will get worse support than the general staff. I informed him that I now understand why they had such bad reviews online. He informed me that he deals with over 250 customers a week and that he doesn't concern himself with bad reviews like this. As for the actual service of my fridge, the tech was helpful but unable to fix the issue at hand. Samsung sent a replacement part but then Tekniton tried to bill me again for replacement. My issue with Tekniton is trying to reach them by phone. I have called numerous times & listened to their music for up to 15 minutes. My 3rd attempt today resulted in speaking with someone. I told her of my problem in trying to call them & her reply was a high call volume. I suggested they at least have voice mail & her reply was, "We do. Is there anything else I can help you with?" Here's the thing, I've have a Samsung fridge less than 5 years old. Unfortunately I've had 3 service calls in the past 4 years with this company. The first was about a door hinge that needed to be replaced. Done. The second was a drip clip that needed to be replaced. Done. The third issue was that my fridge is not cooling and the temperature sensor is busted. Apparently the evaporative cover is iced over as well and needs to be replaced. The technician at the third visit said that because last year my drain clip was replaced the temperature sensor should have been replaced as well. Mind you that each time they come they charge $245 for labor. The sensor should have been done last year, but this year I'm paying over $400 for something that should have only cost $13 extra last year. I understand companies are in the business of making money, but this is a rip off! I was told to call and see if I could get a discount on labor. I called and the representative didn't even state her name. I was transferred without being told to another representative that also remains nameless. When I asked to speak to her supervisor the manager is apparently out of the office until the morning so I will get a call back some time tomorrow. I never asked for this specific company, but Samsung has warranty coverage through them so they have to come out. $245 for labor is quite exorbitant for something that will only take 10 minutes to replace. If the technician on the second visit did his job the first time I wouldn't have to pay these outrageous prices or be feeding my kids out of a cooler for the time being. Ridiculous! Would give no stars if I could. The freezer portion of the refrigerator quit working so called Samsung for a referral. This firm showed up (195.00 show up fee) Diagnosed loss of coolant and bad filter. Wait almost 3 weeks for parts. (189.00 additional fee) didn't clean up after themselves and left the kitchen a mess. Unit worked for about 2.5 months and died again, so called on the 90 day warranty. NOPE. the 90 days starts when they show up for the initial diagnosis, not when they actually fix (or dont fix) the dang thing. I guess if the part would have taken 90 days to arrive, I would have needed to pay an additional 'diagnosis fee before I could get him to install the part.... However.... If I want to pay another $195.00 they would be happy to come out and diagnose the problem and tell me how much more it would cost to (maybe) fix the thing.... Here is the kicker..... The refrigerator has a fault code showing that tells exactly what part is bad... read more
