Beware...they will send out a technician without telling you if your Samsung refrigerator is older than 5 years old there are certain things they cannot fix. Had I known that there were limitations to the repairs they are able to do I would not have scheduled an appointment with Tekniton. The technician was not able to fix the issue but still wanted $100 for coming out to tell me he couldn't fix it. I tried to get a refund since I was not fully informed of their limitations but got nowhere with Albina. She just kept repeating that I had agreed to the $100. She said they are not required to inform the customer that they are not able to do all repairs. Unbelievably poor customer service. read more

They were assigned as my service provider by Samsung to repair my washing machine and refrigerator and I would have been better off with a monkey in a polo shirt! They no show, now called for at least 3 appointments, my washing machine is worse now than before they worked on it, and they had leftover screws when they were putting my fridge back together and when they realized that I had seen them they said "she knows", then took it back apart so they could install the screws correctly... avoid these guys if you can!!!!! read more

Really Samsung, get it together! It amazes me that they would use a company like this for repairs, etc. I scheduled a repair through Comcast and they put me in contact with Tekniton. I let Samsung know that I could only do appointments on Monday or Tuesday. Tekniton scheduled my appointment for Wednesday, along with a time frame that did not work for my Husband or I. We decided to go ahead and make it work because we wanted our refrigerator repaired. The day of the appointment, the technician showed up 2 hours early so of course we were not home for the appointment. When my Husband called the technician he was rude but somehow based on the pictures I sent to Samsung, he knew what needed to be done to our fridge. That didn't fly well with me so in calling Tekniton, the customer service rep told me that Tekniton would not give a time window of 3-5pm and that it is at the discretion of the technician as to when they arrive. WHAT??!! People do work for a damn living. How is it up to the technician to determine when they are going to come by? Especially if I am not home! Since Tekniton has no affiliation with Samsung, they really don't give a shit about their lack of customer service or rudeness. Based on the majority of the reviews, I told my Husband to take plenty of photos and video of our refrigerator, walls, tile floor, etc. The technician was in and out within 20-30 minutes and the work was completed and I am just hoping that nothing further needs to be done. Had them come out to repair an error code on my Samsung oven. So this kid comes out to look at this and has to call someone to guide him through this process at which then he tells us he will have to come back with a part. So a few days later he comes back with a part and an older man with him and he guides him through installation, and it works. How ever I then notice my lights not working on the cook top. So I call again and set a time between 9-1 so 1:30 pm comes and no show and no call, so I call the company and they tell me they will call the technician so he will call and give me a time frame, NO SUCH CALL ever comes. Now we are at 3:45 pm. I call the company again, and tell them what's going on and they say hold on I will call the tech just then he shows up I ask him what's going on? And how come no call? Did the company call you? And he says I was tied up on 3 other calls. And I wouldn't answer my phone anyway. I'm thinking what kind of business is this that doesn't keep their customers informed ( we have a life too) oh also the operator I was talking to hangs up on me. By this time I'm ticked big time. I spent a month with out a refrigerator (lot of eating out) while Tekniton comes out twice does not fix the unit and now I have to buy another unit. I told them the compressor made a loud noise and its no longer cold inside. So they come out and pumped refrigerant into the sealed system which stayed cold for 1 week then failed again. Before he did this he asked if I got one of those temporary Samsung labor & parts warranties. I said yes. Samsung customer service had given me a one time temporary warranty because the refrigerator clunked out only 3 months past the 5 year full labor and parts warranty. After the refrigerant was pumped in and it was working again I asked the guy do you think it will work for awhile? He just looked at me and didn't reply. I have everything on audio & video. The 2nd time they come out a different guy tells me he's replacing the thermometer switch but he is almost positive its not going to fix the problem. The last call to them they told me its not in warranty anymore and could not replace the sealed system (compressor). They could come out twice drive 60 miles 1 way to my house getting paid by Samsung but could not fix the refrigerator. It sounds like a good deal for Tekniton and everybody else gets screwed. I suggest never using this company. I also suggest never buying a Samsung refrigerator considering it only lasted 5 years and in June/July 2021 consumer reports all Samsung french door refrigerators get a poor (1 arrow down) customer satisfaction & reliability rating. read more

HORRIBLE!!! I am almost dumbfounded by this company. I have a Samsung washer with the well documented corrosion defect. Conversations with Samsung led to the scheduling of a repair appointment with Tekniton. My original Samsung contact asked me to provide pictures of the damage, the serial and model number for the washer. An appointment was set. I took half the day off of work and waited for the technicians. The technicians arrived, looked at the washer for 1 minute and said they had to order the part. This was perplexing as they should have been aware of the part that needed replacing prior to this visit. However, we booked a follow up appointment to make the repair two days later. The technicians never showed and when I called into the office I was informed that the technicians had forgotten to call me and let me know the part had not arrived and that they would not be making the appointment. Of course, I had already taken another half day off of work. When I asked to speak to a manager I was informed that they would neither provide me with a name nor a contact number. I was transferred to a voicemail that said "leave a message" I cannot stress enough - NEVER NEVER NEVER go with this company. Samsung is doing itself no favors in contracting with such an unprofessional outfit. read more

Surprised with the bad reviews and a little scared. I needed to have my Samsung ice maker replaced because it was leaking. Seems a lot of the bad reviews were about tardiness and no shows. The tech came an hour in the windowed start time and called a half hour before. The tech is very knowledgeable and completed the job fairly fast. He also wore shoe covers in my house which was appreciated. Only thing that I thought was weird was he needed a copy of the original purchase. Luckily I had it but should already been know by Samsung if it was covered under warranty. read more

Samsung sent out this service provider to fix a brand new TV that was turning off intermittently. The first repair didn't have what he needed so they ordered parts. The second technician brought parts and after putting them in, the TV wouldn't work at all!!!! He said they'd order more parts they would arrive Wednesday or Thursday, and come back on Friday afternoon. After being w/o a TV, waiting on Friday and no call or notice. I called them. Now saying parts won't arrive until early next week so we've been w/o a TV for ten days. They should have called us. That and the technician wasn't even confident he would be able to fix it. Taking this broken TV back to Costco and spending our $1000 on a different brand. read more

I have to reconnect wifi and trouble shoot every single time I turn it on & TV also will turn off on it's own in the middle of being used. Tekniton has been out 4 times. 1st time they replace the switch board and said that should fix the issue, a few days later I was still having the same issues. 2nd & 3rd time they came out for a total of 10 minutes issues happened in front of them and they reported back to Samsung that nothing was wrong with the TV and closed the claim. 4th time the technition came out and said that he had to order the parts and would call me when The they come in so he could come and repair my TV, YET again reported to Samsung that there was nothing wrong with the TV . Unfortunately, this company is the preferred service vendor for Samsung refrigerators. Do everything within your power to not use this company. Poor communication, canceling appointments at the last minute, and technicians who either do not know what they are doing or do not care to complete the job. I have been trying to get my refrigerator repair for six weeks now with them under warranty (total of ten weeks with Samsung and Squaretrade). I am never buying any Samsung product again or Squaretrade warranties. If your appliance breaks--suck it up and buy a new one. Now I just have too much time invested to just walk away. I called to set up an appointment to fix my Samsung TV. I was told that they wouldn't repair it if it was still on the wall. I paid someone to remove it and called back. I got Elena on the phone. From the time she got on the phone, she had a tone as if I was inconveniencing her by even calling. I asked how the fees worked. She told me that it was $100 for inspection, $70 for labor, plus parts. I asked what happens if they can't fix it. She explained there was zero guarantee and even if they couldn't fix the TV, that I would still be charged hundreds of dollars for the inspection, parts, AND labor. I get that they need to make something but I was confused why I would have to pay anything beyond the inspection if they couldn't fix it. Most specifically I questioned why I would be charged for the parts the tech said were needed to fix the TV if they couldn't repair it. They could simply remove the parts and take them back. If the TV wasn't working, why was I responsible for all three fees? Elena kept flatly stating that was the policy over and over without giving any sort of assurance at all that their technicians are fully qualified and that it is something that rarely happens or that their business would be sure to make it right. When I started getting upset at her attitude and complete lack of explanation, she rudely told me multiple times to stop raising my voice at her, even though I was just expressing shock and wasn't saying anything rude to her at all. Instead of using kindness to diffuse the situation, she kept making it worse. I booked the appointment anyway because there are only 2 Samsung approved repair centers locally and the other one doesn't even answer the phone. I came to Yelp to report my experience and am appalled at all the negative comments. Now I am afraid to pay them to come out because it doesn't sound like people are having a good experience. I had a very bad experience with Tekniton Appliance. They rely on call center for all communication with no follow through. They canceled original scheduled repair and they were a no show for 2nd scheduled time. There wasn't any call, text or answering of phone for follow up. Very frustrating waiting their window time of 9 to 1 with no way to find out if coming. I lost complete trust after reading similar review. If RC Willey still uses them for Samsung warranty they should rethink their choice of companies. read more

We needed repair services for a Samsung dryer which was not heating and drying clothes. Samsung's uses Tekniton for repair services. It was a tedious process to get a service number through Samsung for the repair service with Tekniton. First appointment, the Tekniton repairman did not identify any problem. He suggested cleaning the vents. Had the dry vents completely professionally cleaned. Afterwards, Dryer still did not dry. Second appointment made and repairman came without successfully repairing the dryer. He said it may need a new electronic unit. I called and scheduled a third appointment. Later, I received notice that the appointment was cancelled with no explanation. I tried to contact Teknitron. I was put on hold several times with the call being dropped after 10 minutes. Made other attempts to speak to a human being but their system does not support it. This is not a nice company to deal with any repair service. read more

I've read a number of the 1-star reviews. My experience is the same. Schedule appointment. Rescheduled because of "delayed" parts. Then reschedule. Then reschedule again. Then a no-call/no-show. and have spent virtually all morning trying to get through but no answer--just hold then cut off saying the person is not accepting calls. This company has locations in California, North Carolina, and South Carolina. How/Why Samsung has chosen to keep them as their sole authorized service vendor with such a poor record is inexplicable. It's a reflection on Samsung as well as Tenikton. Maybe the solution is to not have bought a Samsung in the first place. As a side note: Their out-of-warranty rates are sky high. For example, about a year ago, their out-of-warranty rate was $125 just to show up. And if you had to have work that time was in addition to the $125. Then there was parts. Maybe that's how they make their money. Who knows? All I know is, this is why choice in the marketplace is important. read more

I can see this company is notorious for bad service based off of the many bad reviews. We have a Samsung fridge that needed the ice maker repaired because it stopped working. Called Samsung directly to arrange service and was routed to Tekniton to be set up. The "technician" came out as scheduled and supposedly did the necessary fix for the ice maker. He left without telling us there were any other issues and we assumed everything was well. The next day we woke to find that not only was the ice maker NOT repaired but the fridge stopped working altogether and most of our food was now defrosted in the freezer and no cooling was happening in the fridge compartment. We ended up having to throw out about 300 dollars worth of groceries since the fridge hadn't been working after the tech's visit for two days. This was just over the weekend. Called today to complain and was told by their customer service rep that I'd have to go through Samsung again to request follow up service. It was their technician that broke the fridge when he was supposed to be here to repair the ice maker! I told them they needed to send someone out ASAP as we could not have a non working fridge for any more days especially with this heatwave. They didn't seem concerned about the issue and said they'd send someone out in a couple days. After this initial experience I don't want them anywhere near my appliances. I had to finally call Samsung to complain about the situation at having been left with a now completely broken refrigerator. if you have issues with a Samsung appliance DO NOT allow Samsung to send you to this place for repair support. The people at Tekniton are downright criminals. Three different diagnostic's for my refrigerator. Three separate bills. All for the same problem. My refrigerator still does not work and now makes loud noises. I tried contacting Samsung directly but they were no help. I contacted the Better Business Bureau and also filed a complaint with the Department of Consumer Affairs. I also tried contacting KCRA 3 investigations. Despite all of this, the owner will not work with me on anything, he could care less about his reputation. Don't let these people in your house. You will regret it. If you have a warranty repair ask that they do not refer you to this company!! This company came out to the house and sent a technician out that didn't understand how to remove a dishwasher from underneath the counter. He then proceeded to pull the hose off the dishwasher without turning the water off and spilled water everywhere on the hardwood floors. This was a simple water pump replacement and they never replaced the pump. Samsung replaced the dishwasher as it was faulty but not after I have water damage all over my house. I have been without a dishwasher for over 9 months as Samsung has dragged their feet and the contractor won't take responsibility for this. Tekniton provides repair services electronic devices. For instance, my Samsung television is under warranty and Samsung contracts with Tekniton to perform the service. After you talk to Samsung, you get a call from Tekniton to schedule the service. My Samsung tv stopped working. A technician named Adrian came to my home. He examined my tv and said he needed to order parts. Tekniton called the next day and said the parts were in and the could come out next week to try to fix the tv. So far, I am happy with the warranty service from Samsung. When you have the Tekniton representative at your house they seem to do a good job. Getting the Tekniton service representative to your house requires a long wait. It is an even longer wait when you don't have a tv to watch. read more

I had an appointment with these people today to fix my refrigerator, waiting from 9-1. This is the company that Samsung does business with. At 11 am I called to confirm the appointment, they assured me we were still on. At noon, I called again to get an eta, they told me they would call the technician and get back to me. No one called back. At 12:30 I called again hoping to get an eta, again I was told they would call me back. No one called. At 1pm, I called to see if anyone was coming today, was told for the third time; someone would call me back. No one called, came by the house, knocked on the door or even texted me one word. I asked to speak to the manager and was told he was not there. I would not recommend this unreliable, uncommunicative, inconsiderate repair company to anyone. My Samsung 55 inch TV developed a thin line across the top of the screen. The TV is about 5 years old...out of warranty, but I still wanted it fixed. Talked to a rep from Samsung who connected me with the local Tekniton TV service office. Over the phone I was quoted $175 for the service and was given a day and time frame (1 to 5 PM) for the technician to come to the house and fix the problem. 30 minutes before the end of the time frame I got a call from their office informing me that the technician would not be coming today, and that, based on the description of the problem, the cost of the repair would now be over $900, even though the technician had never seen my TV. Who, in their right mind, would pay $900 to fix a TV that could be replaced with a new one for under $400. Sounds like a racket to me. I will never buy another product from Samsung, ever. And I will never recommend Tekniton to anyone who needs electronics repaired. read more

I had an issue with my Samsung refrigerator, and of course what was wrong with it was not under warranty. The receptionist that called me the day ahead of my appointment was very business like. Valentin was the tech that came out to repair it. He did a wonderful job and I appreciated him explaining what was wrong and what he had to do to repair.
