Our Samsung refrigerator has worked pretty good for the last 10 years, but maybe I should have complained sooner about the plastic shelves that had cracked. I glued/bolted several of them back together over the years. However, just recently the freezer stopped working. I called Samsung and they use Tekniton to service their products. Little did I know at the time that Tekniton just expanded into the Seattle area a few months ago. The first appointment was Jan 5th, but they called and said they knew what was wrong with our freezer and had ordered parts to fix it. That seemed a little cavalier without yet coming to our house. This I later learned was due to their "triage" approach to service - essentially guessing what the problem is before they actually inspect/diagnose it. And now the delays begin: Jan 5th was moved to Jan 7th to wait for parts, but that got moved to Jan 10th, still waiting for parts. On Jan 10th. After waiting all day they called and said they were behind and would be here Jan 11th, but that was moved to Jan 12th when we were supposed to be first on this list - we were last, but they finally did show up. And guess what? The problem was not what they "triaged" so that was 7 days of delays for nothing. Needed a new inverter circuit board, the thing that drives the compressor motor. Had to order that, and we finally called on Jan 17th to find out where it was. They showed up on Jan 20th with the new inverter circuit board, but you guessed it, it was not the correct one for our refrigerator, so they had to order another one, and the delays continued. On Jan 24th they got the new board and actually showed up the next day to finally fix our refrigerator. That is now 20 days of delays, incompetence, and inadequate communication with us. Well, you guess right again - this inverter board did not fix anything. The tech was on the phone with a Samsung person for a long time and finally admitted that this board did not work. WE WERE DONE with TEKNITON and SAMSUNG, ordering the technician to leave and sending the Samsung refrigerator to the scrap heap. read more

I was referred to this awful company by Samsung to repair my dryer. I called to schedule a service call and spoke with two what sounded like rude junior high girls. Not only I received no help, they hung up on me! and when I called back and asked for a supervisor or at least an adult they told me he was not available. this shady company runs by people with heavy Ukrainian accent who don't know first thing about customer service. I was assigned Tekniton by Samsung to repair a refrigerator and they never showed up or called to reschedule. I had to take the day off to be home for the appointment so I lost a days wages. Now Samsung has re assigned my service to another company and I will have to take another day off work. Tekniton has cost me $400 (after taxes) and they haven't stepped foot in my home. I did call them the day of the service and I was assured they would be there an I would receive a call from the tech. Neither happened. Its just too bad I cant give them 1 star. read more

I had to go through multiple routes just to get in contact with someone from this company to have them hang up on me as well. It is sad that Samsung only has this company available for repairs. Tekniton has problems with answering phone calls through the customer service line, especially when the first call said technician would be here between 2-5. I started waiting at 2 and figured I would call and of course NO ANSWER, waiting and waiting and waiting. Looked up said company and the BBB gave them an F and they had bad reviews so I decided to just go on with my day instead of waiting around. However, the technician we received was a respectful guy who gave us a heads up when he was coming (around 7pm and I was more than ok with that) around 4:30. I was so relieved that he gave me a time (the person who was actually going to be coming not someone sitting in at a desk) and also gave me enough time to finish what I needed to do. Side note on the time - that time worked so well for us because of the schedules we have. The Samsung Smartsensor washer was fixed in a matter of 10 minutes. I would recommend the company to an extent. If there was a way to contact the actual technician once they put in the service order. This would be a 5 star review. read more

I'm really happy with these people because they fixed my TV. It took awhile to get an appointment and the first appointment was a little off because the technician had gotten stuck in Yuba City and unfortunately I wasn't informed that the appointment was going to be later. But even though it was completely outside of business hours and the technician was obviously very tired he still came and examined my TV. And he put up with my petulant attitude which I must say I'm pretty embarrassed about. He determined that my TV needed a part so it couldn't be fixed that day but he ordered the part and sure enough and just a couple of days I had another appointment to have it fixed. Today the technician came out and fixed my TV and he was very thorough. So finally my TV is fixed and hopefully will be good for another 5 years. I was treated courteously and professionally throughout and both technicians did a good job both diagnosing the problem and fixing it. I also felt that the charges were fixing the TV were just fine especially considering how much it would have cost to buy a new TV. It was definitely worth it to have it fixed. They don't do Saturday service calls so I had to schedule on a weekday. They pick the day. They pick the time. Then they never showed up. Also never called. WORST SERVICE EVER!!! I have never been treated so badly! The technician who showed up to fix my freezer was nothing but a bully. He starts by saying to me "this freezer is completely full of ice, people should call sooner but they never do". I said, I called within one day and was told they don't have anyone available for 2 weeks. Then he pulls out a huge screw driver and says "I'll have to pry it loose". I said, wait isn't that going to damage it? He said, "well do you want it fixed, I'm not going to stay here for 2 hrs and besides a dent in the side of the freezer won't affect how it functions." I said, I just paid $3000.00 for that, would you want a dent in it? I said there has to be another way, he said " I'm not staying here for 2 hrs". I said, you can go now. Pack up your things and go. When I called Tekniton to tell them that happened they simply said they won't send anyone else and sided with him. My house audio system recorded the whole thing, no need to take my word for it. If I had been an elderly person, I might have relented to his bullying and let him put a dent in my brand new refrigerator. I filed a formal complaint with Samsung and Home Depot. If I was Samsung, I would not work with this company who cares so little about their customers or their customers property..... I would not have even given one star but it wont let me submit without at least one star..... read more

My latest experience with Tekniton has been awful. My Samsung washer lid has cracked and broken twice now. The second time it happened (go to any Samsung forum and its a known issue), Tekniton denied my claim. Samsung sent them back out for a second opinion, and Tekniton cancelled my appointment. When I called to find out why, the customer service receptionist hung up on me. When I called back to see if I could get the work done outside of Samsung and pay for it myself, she was extremely rude and condescending. I'm just a mom with 3 kids and a ginormous laundry pile that has been without a washer for 3 weeks. Rude customer service is not the way to go about that. read more

I am giving this business one star for terrible customer service. They never answer the phone! I had a Samsung microwave door replaced in Feb. 2018. The service was fine. The tech replace the door promptly. They have a 90 day warranty on their repairs. About day 80 my microwave started doing the same thing as the original problem in Feb. I started calling every day and was on hold over 10 minutes twice a day for 3 days. No one would answer. I even tried going though the San Fran. office. So I sent an email via customer service on their website. I did not get a response. So now on day 92, I finally get to actually talk to someone via the phone, and guess what, it's past the 90 days so they blew me off. If they had answered the fricken phone on Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday I could have gotten help. So my suggestion is if you need to contact them give yourself 2 weeks to get customer service. read more

Had a problem with my Samsung Dishwasher. Called Samsung and then Tekniton called me. Tekniton then left a VM with a bunch of rambling about fees and charges and then left a service window. I tried to call back a few times but nobody would pick up. They called me the day they were supposed to come out for service and left a message indicating that they were not coming out since they couldn't discuss their fees. When I finally did have the opportunity to speak with them, they indicated that we would have to pay a $90 diagnostic fee just to have them look at it irrespective of warranty. This company has scam written all over it. They clearly only care about gathering as many fees as possible and Samsung is helping them stay in business. I will not let them in my house and I suggest you exercise the same amount of caution when dealing with them. read more

By far the most unprofessional ,and to borrow reviewer Marco's description, "shady" company I have encountered. I experienced the same deceptive conduct as reviewer Nazarly S. A total nightmare speaking with the woman on the phone who could not find her way to schedule an appointment and then when she finally did the day before she called and cancelled it allegedly because they needed to order parts but how would they know what parts to order if they had not looked at the newly installed Samsung washer. She said she was cancelling and would reschedule. We never heard from her or anyone at the company again. I tried calling but after being on hold for 1/2 hour gave up. This appointment was set up through Samsung under the warranty and I have spoken with Samsung and advised them of the pathetic service Tekniton provides and encouraged them to use someone else in the Sacramento area. After 2 days of my request to repair my dishwasher and they did not call back or send a technician, finally I called them to follow up my ticket (!!) and the operator started to ask me what was wrong with the appliance!!!! Like a new case, she started to ask me all the same questions again after 48 hours and when I asked her why? She rudely answered that you should tell me all these again in order for me to solve the problem!! I do not recommend to work with this service center! Terrible costumer service. Repair man came to fix my washer and did not fix it properly in fact made it worse than it was. When I called them again to have someone come and fix it my repair ticket was closed due to an employee telling me that the noise coming the machine was normal. It's not. I gave it one star because I'm forced to. They came out to fix my samsung dishwasher that wasn't draining. The tech never looked at the bottom of the dishwasher to see if perhaps the pump or the check valve was bad. He immediately said it was a plumbing problem. Had a plumber come out and was told the plumbing was fine. I've tried to contact them serveral times today and they don't answer. Called Samsung representative and he advised me to call again tomorrow. These people are criminals. Samsung sent these guys to repair our dryer that was under warranty. The office staff was a nightmare and didn't seem to know what they were talking about. It took them forever to schedule my service. I am rating them 4 stars though because of the tech that came out. He knew what the problem was by the description that I had given the company. He showed up with the replacement part in hand and fixed it in about 20 mins. He was awesome! He even showed me the broken part he replaced! Super happy with his service. read more

I would like to give 0 stars, but that is not an option. This company is pathetic as is this Samsung refrigerator I own. Apparently, Tekniton is the only company in the region to repair this refrigerator that went out within 9 months of purchase. The original work order was placed over the weekend and Tekniton could not make it out until the following Friday. At that time we were told the compressor had failed and they would call us on Monday to schedule a repair date. We didn't receive a call until Tuesday and were told they couldn't come out until the following Monday. I rescheduled my entire afternoon of patients to allow for this 1pm-5 pm window all to get a call Monday morning that they didn't have all the parts. I once again called Samsung and they said they would update the work order to assist in replacing the refrigerator vs repairing. I was told by the gentleman at Samsung that if I didn't hear from them within the next 2 hours to call them. Of course, no word from Tekniton so I called. The receptionist told me that she saw the updated work order, but they would be able not come out. Her exact words were "there is nothing I can do for you". Really! So almost 17 days in there is still no sign of a working refrigerator. Back to Samsung... I feel very much caught in the middle of a horrible service center and Samsung. Had service tech come to look at my washer $90 said it would be additional $200 to replace hose but I could do it myself and he told my husband where to buy the hose and how to replace it. Once done we ran the washer with the lid off and it still leaked! I watched water gush out of a completely different hose! So I called and asked for my money back because they misdiagnosed the problem and I bought a hose I didn't need! They said they don't give refunds but I had 90 days for them to find the problem and fix it! I found it and I fixed it! That will teach me to rely on in qualified repair men! read more

AWFUL! Tekniton took advantage of my 89-year old mother! Tekniton sent three different repair technicians to fix my mother's washing machine. Each technician informed my mother that she needed different parts and that the previous technician was wrong. The first technician charged my mother $90 for an inspection fee and said she needed new shocks and a main board "because of an error code." I told my mother to tell the technician that we wanted to keep the old parts....the technician responded that they had to send the old parts back to the manufacturer so we could not have any of the old parts. The technician then said that he would just change the main board to see if that would work without changing the shocks, then charged her an additional $196 for a new main board which did not fix the problem. The second technician told my mother that the shocks were fine, but that she needed a new motor and rotor....another $300+ in parts. Then, the third technician told my mother that the motor was fine, but that she needed a new washer tub and shocks....making the total repair around $800. Since these repairs were outrageous, my mother asked me to step in. I called Tekniton and complained...Tekniton refused to refund my mother the $90 inspection fee stating that they already loss money sending three technicians to her house. The washer remains unfixed. We do not recommend Tekniton for any repairs! read more

Contacted Samsung, as my washer was only 1 1/2 years old and the motor was making a horrible sound. They contacted Tekniton to come out and do the repairs. David, the technician from Tekniton arrived around 4PM and was hammering on the motor until after 6PM when he decided to take my washer into the shop. (This was a Friday evening). We asked him when the washer would be back and he said Saturday. He had no dolly with him, so my husband used our dolly and helped him put the washer in his small van. He did not cover the washer and did not strap it down, according to my husband. Well, of course the weekend went by with no washer, but actually I was not expecting it to be returned on Saturday. I called the office on Monday and they said that the machine would be worked on that day and they would call me when it was completed. David, the repair tech called on Monday nite to let us know that he would deliver on Tuesday morning. I informed him that I had an appointment and would have to leave by 10:30AM. He said no problem and got here before 10:30. My husband was getting ready to leave for a doctor's appt. and was outside when David arrived. David did not have a dolly so my husband asked if he wanted to use ours. Again, my husband helped get the washer into the house. (Also, my husband noticed that the washer was not covered or strapped down. Long story short, my new washer was all scratched up on the front and when he installed the washer he forgot to put the hose into the drain pipe. So when I put a load of clothes in the washer and it sounded okay, I left for my appt. When my husband came home from his appt., half of the house was flooded. Needless to say, Tekniton said they did not scratch my washer and their Tech said not forget to put the hose in the drain. Please, please do not ever use this company. They have the worst customer service and they use untrained Technicians. If I could give them "Zero" stars, I would !! read more

I contacted Samsung for my 5 year old Microwave. Found out that the part that needed to be replaced was under an extended warranty. I was contacted by Tekniton to setup an appointment to check on the microwave on 7/27 between 1-5pm. Seemed like a pretty large window, so after not hearing from them around 4pm I called. They could not give me an eta but said that they should be calling me shortly. Finally the Tech called at 420pm he said he was on his way and would be here in 20min. Well not only was he here in the 20min he also had a box that he carried in with him. I was hoping that was the part that needed to be replaced and I was pleasantly surprised that it was. Not once have I ever had something replaced so quickly! they usually say " I have to order the part". The part was replaced and he was gone by 5pm, wow! Emanuel was very pleasant and gave me some tips on how to prolong the life of my microwave. Thanks Emanuel/Tekniton for such quick service, I now have my microwave back and working. :) read more

If I could give this company negative stars I would. They have ABSOLUTELY horrible customer service!!! They came out to repair our refrigerator twice because the first time they came out they didn't have the parts. Needless to say it ended up taking almost 3 weeks to get our refrigerator repaired so we ended up buying a new one. We gave our old refrigerator to my parents after it was fixed and it ended up going out on them not even 2 months later. On the service paper the company gave us it said they cover their product and repair for 90 days but because we moved our refrigerator out of their territory they wouldn't fix it. (The location we moved the refrigerator to was actually closer to their location than our house was) When i spoke to the supervisor he was about as helpful as a box of rocks. Apparently they don't care about their product or service and after reading these reviews I wish we would've picked somewhere else to fix our appliance. I am telling you right now if you are thinking about using them to fix anything I would run, run, run the other way!!!! read more

So i dont normally use yelp, but had such a bad experience with this company i downloaded the app just to give a review. Apparently they're the only company in Sacramento that does Samsung repairs which is really unfortunate as I will no longer being buying Samsung products from here on out. So after many weeks of repeated delays from the company I finally get them to come out, thinking that my dishwasher will be fixed after all it's just a simple simple broken latch , only to have the technician take a picture of my dishwasher and say that it was unrepairable. Note that this was only a month old dishwasher. So I called up Samsung and asked them what I should do and they said that they can only do what the technician would repair. After repeated calls and no response I finally located the little plastic latch and fixed it in 10 minutes myself. So basically they're scammers that either try to get your money or Samsung's money. Stay away from them at all coslts and youll likely be better off to just pay someone to fix you product than go through samsung and get weeks of run-around. read more
