I've been coming to iFix and Repair inside the Lakewood Walmart Supercenter for a while now, and…read morethey've never let me down. I've brought in different devices over time--phones with cracked screens, charging issues, and random problems I thought were done for--and every time they've fixed it fast and professionally. The staff is always friendly, straight-up, and honest about pricing, which I really appreciate. No pressure, no upselling--just solid work and clear communication. Most repairs are done way quicker than I expect, and it's super convenient being able to shop at Walmart while they handle the repair. If you're in Lakewood and need phone or device repairs, this place is legit. Reliable, affordable, and consistent--there's a reason I keep coming back.

When I got my phone back it was extremely laggy, dark screen and low quality display. It cracked literally 1 week after replacement, I went to a different spot in Tacoma and they informed me about the type of screen he replaced it with (literally a Temu screen) and the damage he did inside the phone that had to be repaired with original parts. This guy sucks to say the least. He talks a big game, and then clearly doesn't know what hes doing. Hes using extremely cheap screens and selling them as "premium aftermarket". I brought it in here to help troubleshoot and diagnose, since it could've been the RAM, CPU, NVME SSD, or windows corrupted files. They were able to diagnose and pinpoint the causes and issues pretty quickly, and offered me several solutions to quickly be up and running with minimal downtime. I went with the 0 downtime option while I warranty claim the faulty part (NVME drive went bad but it has 4 years left on warranty). It's so good to meet fellow pc enthusiasts and I will be coming here for any future repairs or services!

Based on their top-ranked data, I can understand why. Their speedy repair and customer service that is so personable, taking the time to understand customer concerns and address them most efficiently. Had I gone through HP, it would've been double the price, and taken longer to get my product back due to shipping, etc. I find it difficult to articulate the extent of my gratitude for the assistance they provided. If you're in the Tacoma area or nearby and you're experiencing similar issues, I highly recommend checking out Who's Your Data. You will not be disappointed.

I am not unfamiliar with purchasing and repairing of appliances as I am the property manager for 10…read morehomes in North Tacoma. I dropped off a dishwasher and paid 60$ for a diagnostic. I was told this is the initial cost to look at the unit and anything additional will be for replacement/repair work. I was called and informed that my unit had been tested and nothing seemed to be a problem and that my unit was ready for pick up. Upon pick up, I was informed that I owed an additional "labor cost". Didn't make any sense to me as I paid for diagnostic, which is all they self-admittedly did, and wasn't sure how they rationalized charging "labor" for something that had no "out of scope"/additional work done to it. I expressed my displeasure with the on-site staff who had no coherent explanation as to why I was paying more than our agreed-upon diagnostic rate. He kept saying that they " spent a lot of time testing" and in my mind that is the sellers burden as they sold their ability to do diagnostic for a certain amount. To me it felt sketchy and felt like a half baked business practice. If they had done any amount of work to the unit, I would have no problem paying for labor. I frankly wouldn't had a problem if they said that diagnostic was $100 from the start. I would've liked to agree on a price for a certain project/assessment and have it cost that same amount when said work was complete. I also want to mention that the on-site staff have almost no knowledge of these machines and their functions. They were really just salesman with the service team in back of house. I personally like to speak with technicians about mechanical issues so I have a better understanding of tasks performed, and common issues. Aka real knowledge. Overall, I did not find my visit to be worthwhile or a good investment and frankly left feeling like I was bamboozled. I am not likely to return and would not recommend anyone else go here for repairs/diagnostic.

However, I needed a narrow quarter inch clamp. That was the problem, I can't find where to buy one. So, I went to Lakewood Appliance and was willing to pay the $120 for the service call just to have someone come out and put the clamp on my factory certified genuine part. remember the part came directly from Amana. First I asked if they had the clamp, they did not. should have been my first red flag. I said I needed a narrow clamp. this idiot said how narrow and started to show me diameters with his fingers. I said Narrower, not smaller in diameter. Don't treat me like I'm an idiot unless you're a bigger idiot. Then this sick bigot said that even though I have a brand new part, that he would not put on cheap China junk, so I had to buy one of his. I told him I got it from the factory, and he said he had to be sure. well mister bigot. I don't care where it's made. it's genuine and I will never ever do business with bigots and arrogant jerks. I will pay someone who can read a box when it says it's factory.

The next day, I tried every troubleshooting suggestion I could find and it would just not power up. It had been fully operational 15 minutes previously. I called Nortech late in the day, around 4PM to schedule an appointment and to my surprise, I was told a technician could be there in 30 minutes. The visit would be $185. I had a bad feeling that I had lost a power supply board but I wanted to know for sure. The technician arrived as promised. He was on his way home to Federal way. He did the same checking as I had done and confirmed that it was the power supply. He told me this was a common failure and that the repair would be $795 but they would ahve to order parts. It would require the TV being dismounted from the wall mount. I decided to buy a new TV instead and he agreed with the logic of that decision. I bought another Samsung 55" OLED (still highly rated) for less than the cost of the repairs. The Nortech technician was courteous and professional.
