I think the ground is more than anything or what makes this hotel. A few times I've stayed here over the past few years. It's been more about the restaurant, the conference base is the walking path all of it. The rooms could definitely use some TLC. They are outdated and definitely using all of their lifespan. However, things are clean and kept in good condition. The beds are comfortable and views from the room and solid. 36 hole golf course is great. The staff no matter what time I've been here has been super friendly.

Great resort with a beautiful entrance that is tucked away but close to downtown Temecula. Found this place through Chase Travel as I was looking for a place to stay at for the weekend to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary. We were greeted and welcomed as soon as we entered the lobby to check-in and they were very accommodating as we arrived 1-hour early before the scheduled check-in time at 4pm. The staff also delivered a card and a bottle of wine to celebrate our special occasion. We were given a room on the 2nd floor with a patio that overlooked the majestic golf course. The next morning we got to enjoy some delicious food at their restaurant Cork & Fire before we headed out on a wine tour. Overall, very peaceful resort with nice amenities. One thing I would recommend is an upgrade to the closet and bathrooms which looked a little outdated for an "executive" suite.

Charging upwards of $400 a night is insane for this hotel. The rooms are very dated. The carpet is disgusting. The bathrooms are atrocious. Thankfully staying one night but won't ever visit here again.

Had a very romantic weekend getaway with my wife at Temecula Creek Inn. Stunning views of the golf course. Ample sized room. Very friendly staff who helped us check in a bit sooner. They do have a great restaurant which we went to one night to grab a few beers. There is also a beautiful butterfly habitat. Will definitely come back for a stay here on our next Temecula trip.

Christian at the bar and Cristy the hostess were unreal. Best customer service, unasked ever. 5 stars just for them . Will be back. Also, great course!

This property had lots of potential for a beautiful stay between the restaurant, golf course and scenic grounds. The room was spacious and had some nice amenities with little touches, a large balcony and nice bedroom furniture. It wasn't well-lit and seemed like it had been vacant for a while as there were a few dusty spaces. The bathroom was most in need of an upgrade with dated fixtures and odd patch-ups here and there. We had to lug our bags up a set of stairs which was pretty rough. Overall, I feel a little high-priced for the offering.

We were pleasantly surprised after reading all the negative reviews. Yes, the rooms are a bit dated, but they were large and clean. We stayed in #146 which ad a wonderful balcony with a view of the signature waterfall by the 18th green and the chef's garden as well as the 1st tee and expansive beautiful golf course. The service was really friendly. We felt very welcomed, and they did a great job accommodating our requests, including being near the pro shop, so we didn't have to take our golf clubs too far to check in. The restaurant, Cork Fire, is a killer amenity! Great room service and the food is first class. I was also very impressed with the golf course--it was in very good shape with some narrow fairways and tough greens. Interesting terrain changes between the Stone House which is really hilly with a ton of up and down vs. the Oaks course that was a bit flatter in the valley. Nice golf carts and very well-stocked pro shop. Driving range was off matts. We attended a wedding, which was a spectacular location at the Stone House. Overall, a great destination wedding location.

Oh Lordy...... Disgusting rooms. Outdated and dirty!! The stained carpet was beyond. Had to stay here for a wedding and was annoyed of how gross it was for the $$$ I was spending. Better off staying at Pechanga or elsewhere in the area.

As for the course itself, it was in really good shape. Not gonna lie, not knowing the course, it chewed me up pretty good. People who knew the course definitely had the advantage that day. There are a ton of elevation changes, elevated tees, and the greens were quick. It took me a while, but I finally started rolling putts much better on the back nine. I would love to blame the course for my high score that day, but I know better. Lol. It's an expensive golf course but you are getting a quality golf experience when playing at Journey. The GPS on our cart did not work for the front nine which was a bummer, but when we made the turn, they happily traded carts for us and got us up and running. It was embarrassing and unprofessional. The tone and treatment I received were disrespectful from the start. I left feeling singled out and uncomfortable, and I can't ignore the possibility that I was being unfairly profiled. To make matters worse, the facility itself is run down and poorly maintained, which makes the strict attitude toward customers even more ridiculous. I work for a prominent golf brand and have spent a lot of time at courses and ranges--this was easily one of the worst customer service experiences I've had. I brought my 4-year-old son with me to the course, planning for him to simply ride along and enjoy being outside while watching me play. To my surprise, I was told I would have to pay a spectator fee for him. Charging a fee for a four-year-old who isn't playing golf and is just spending time outdoors with a parent seems unreasonable. When I politely asked to speak with a manager, the front desk employee told me there wasn't one available. After I questioned the policy further, the General Manager, Dave Garner, suddenly appeared. That made it feel like I had been misled from the start. Unfortunately, my interaction with Dave Garner only made the situation worse. Rather than showing any understanding or attempting to find a reasonable solution, he simply repeated that the policy was the policy and claimed he had no discretion to make an exception. As the General Manager, I would expect at least some level of customer service, empathy, or willingness to work with a loyal customer. This wasn't just about the spectator fee--it was about the poor customer service, being told something that wasn't true, and the complete lack of flexibility or concern for the customer experience. It's disappointing that a golf course would rather turn away a family over a spectator fee for a preschooler than create a welcoming environment. There are plenty of golf courses that understand the value of introducing young children to the game and making families feel welcome. Unfortunately, this wasn't one of them.

He says, "But I'm feeling generous today so I'll take $10 off." Okay so the cost it should be, not generosity. He doesn't give me a receipt. I check my bank account just to see what he charged. He charged me $58. The full price for 2 adults. It should have been $48 for my daughter and I at $29 for an adult and a junior at $10 less. But $58 to play The Colony, essentially an abandoned golf course that isn't maintained whatsoever to begin with. And then to have the workers be condescending and charge more than cost. That's theft and even worse that he tried to act like he was being generous. The other workers I've dealt with there have been cool and I dealt with the horrible conditions of the course cuz it's cheap and close. But I'll never go again after this.
