So it's pumpkin spice season and my hubby loves pumpkin anything, and I was on the hunt for a great hearty pumpkin loaf or muffin with no nuts or seeds or anything (he doesn't like them) and better buzz coffee had one, but it had walnuts inside and he immediately spit it out and said "ew" so I had a pickup from Temecula grind coffee Co. and they had a pumpkin loaf, nothing in it or on it and they were the size of Starbucks ones, but they were sold out when I went in there when my work was slow and they were all sold out by 10 am, so I saw that they had a pumpkin streusel muffin like the other place, so I asked "Is there any nuts or seeds of any kind anywhere in or on the muffin?" And the staff was amazing! The manager personally looked at their ingredient list to make sure their muffins didn't have have nuts and he looked in a muffin as well to double check. And the place is crowded and small, huge lounge chairs that cover half the floor space, so he careful when going in, but it's a super populated coffee shop and VERY popular! Highly recommend this place! My hubby even said this is his new place for his breakfast when he wants to treat himself! I asked if they had a brown sugar shaken espresso and he said no but can look it up to make it and I said it's okay I'll take a hazelnut latte instead. He surprised me by making it and asked me to try it and on top of that, he was still going to make me a hazelnut latte!! It was delicious and I told him he should add it to the menu. I was a little hesitant about coming to this place, because it was a little far from our stay at Pechanga, but it was definitely worth the drive. When I was looking at the yelp reviews that gave some good reviews about the coffee, food, and staff. I decided to place my order online because they gave an extra 15% off first time order. My sister got the avocado toast, which is not on the menu, but only online, It was two huge slices of avocado, greens, tomato, and balsamic glaze sprinkled with everything seasoning. (she only ate half and I ate the other half, I guess I was hungry). I ordered the egg sandwich with a smear of cream cheese and spinach added on an everything bagel. The only thing different I would've ordered the bagel well done. This was a nice cozy, home town feel coffee shop where everyone knew each other. I especially liked the Bible verses and the display of the support of the PD. Olivia, an employee, came over and started talking with us, she was very friendly and kind. She made us feel welcomed. We had a "donut act like you didn't see this coming baby sprinkle," brunch style, and needed to have enough coffee to serve for our group of 30 people. Not only did this location offer a coffee caraf-to-go, they let us hold onto it until the end of the day. It was insulated solid, the coffee was not only hot the entire time, it was delicious and everyone could not stop drinking it! I was honestly expecting a cheap cardboard version like how Starbucks does, but this was honestly wayyyyyy better especially considering we didn't have anything to transfer the coffee in to stay hot. Completely unexpected yet exactly what we were looking for. Huge save for the party! We will now always support this business for all of our future parties! I came here with a group of friends over the weekend for breakfast before heading out to the Big Horse Corn Maze. This location is directly across the street from the corn maze. Customer Service: This was my first time here. I did not know how ordering works. I quickly glanced at the menu and knew I wanted an egg sandwich. I ordered the #3 or the Egg, Meat, Cheese, Spinach, Siracha Mayo sandwich. When I placed my order the cashier immediately asked me what kind of bread I wanted. I said I didn't know. She then proceeded to tell me "Read the board". I've never been told this response before. Instead of kindly listing the breads to me she basically told me to figure it out myself before replying back to her. But when I finally gave her my choices, she immediately starting listing all the additional add-ons they charge extra for, item by item from memory. By the way they charge for all toppings, including tomato. I checked and charging for tomato is not even listed on their blackboard. I found it puzzling that the staff would not list a simple request like the breads, which would take like 5 seconds, but will easily list all their money making add-ons. Food: The egg sandwich was pretty great. I got the jalapeno cheese bread with my egg sandwich which added an extra buttery cheese element to my sandwich. The cheese was melted perfectly. I also got their seasonal Vanilla Brown Sugar Iced Latte. It was delicious. Ambiance: Immediately as you enter, you are greeted with a large Blue Lives Matter (law enforcement matters) flag. As a person of color, this flag made me feel uncomfortable and I know it can be triggering to some individuals. As soon I sat down to eat my food, I knew that I didn't want to be in the establishment for long. The owner's ideologies can be found sprinkled all over the coffee shop. Parking: The location is part of a small shopping center. There was plenty of parking. I unfortunately will not be returning here. Awful customer service I was waiting in line and was next to order. A lady came after me and the owner began to ask her what she needed , while he hadn't even addressed me at this point. As I started to approach the register the owner told the cashier to ring up the other lady before me?? Don't understand the special treatment. Would like to add that this other customer was most definitely white, and I am not. Not sure if that had a part to play in her being able to skip the line that I had patiently waited in but I will not be returning either way. In response to the reply from the owner: The line was absolutely not to the door. I was the second person in line directly in front of the pastry case. In fact you made eye contact with me and ignored me. You instead chose to acknowledge the other customer who was not in line prior, as she was fully seated when I walked into to the store.
