Absolutely loved the service and my drink. I am lactose intolerant and the owner (who was assisting me) went above and beyond to make sure the ingredients to make the drink were dairy free. Very much appreciated that as his supplies had just changed and some were not dairy free. He was able to make my drink dairy free and you cannot tell that it was. It was delish and had the perfect amount of peanut butter to chocolate taste (banana as well). If I am ever back in the area definitely coming back for my Funky Monkey drink! read more

I love coming to this coffee shop, the coffee is delicious but recently I have noticed that the managing staff isn't very friendly. The owner/manager seemed very snippy specifically with new employees. Being kind to the team is imperative rather than coming off as unwelcoming. read more

My cream cheese container had a long hair hanging out of it. The girl behind the register was visibly sick and kept wiping her nose with her hand, I was preying she wouldn't handle my food. The "cook" preparing the bagels was overwhelmed and eventually the cashier walked over and started preparing what I was hoping wasn't my food. I watched her handle my two bagels and bag them without washing her hands and no gloves on. No one wears gloves. As she handed my food to me I noticed the hair hanging out of the container and I'm sure she saw it at the last second as well. Im absolutely pissed off and DISGUSTED! I left and threw the food in the trash and sanitized my hands. I'm not sure what the allure is with this place as they seem to have a loyal customer base. Randomly found this place on Yelp after coming home from a trip, and I am so glad I did! I had ordered a funky monkey blended and then a pumpkin blended (can't remember the exact name) both were extremely good! There are a ton of different drinks I would love to try. Welp, that was disappointing! There was a sign posted outside that I didn't get a picture of, unfortunately, that read more or less that they don't want to adhere to state guidelines (masks), just in a roundabout way so that you had to read between the lines. Kind of a fun brain exercise I suppose, but would be more sincere in my opinion if it more clearly read "We do not enforce state guidelines - enter at your own risk!". On top of that, one of the two items I ordered had mold on it (blueberry oat bran muffin), which they refunded. The kid who helped me was clearly new, but he was friendly enough; He needed help to do the refund, and the kid who refunded the muffin was brief and unapologetic. Oh well! From what I understand this used to be an It's A Grind, so they're clearly familiar with the rebranding process. May I suggest: Covid Cafe, or perhaps, The Moldy Muffin? read more

Cute little coffee shop that my bf and I wanted to try! This place is tucked in a very busy plaza. Around Wednesday noon time, wasn't as busy. Wish I had known of this place as it was nice to have coffee time with family or friends. You can even study here! As for their drinks, I haven't tried much. I've only tried their Honey Lavender Latte. We asked for it blended and it was pretty good. My bf thinks, it needed a bit more coffee flavor as the honey and lavender was over powering. But overall we still enjoyed it. We'll be coming back to try their other drinks! read more

This place looked like it was going be so good. We love to support small businesses, but it was terrible. Nothing was fresh. We ordered a smoothie that was right out of the box. It was so sweet it tasted like one of those frozen margarita machines minus the tequila. I ordered a vanilla latte, which 20 mins later I still can't drink. I love coffee and drink it daily. I have never in my life had a coffee so hot. It burned my tongue so bad I had to spit it out. Unbelievable!! I ordered an egg bowl for my daughter and it was right out of the microwave. Everything was rubbery! Yuck! She loves eggs and would not take a bite, likely because she did not recognize them as eggs. My husband and I both ordered egg and meat sandwiches. Again, the egg was microwaved and rubbery and everything was piping hot! There was one small sliver of ham on there. So thin prosciutto like. Sadly, i would say skip this place and head to Starbucks. read more

Prices are what coffee should cost. Get a delicious drink plus a treat under $7 bucks. I love the mom and pop feeling, too, with the fun patterned, cushioned chairs. No long waits for your drink, either. Something cute that I saw was that the staff started making one of the regulars drink the moment he walked in. Can't stand the obnoxious flag as you enter BUT not gonna lie he has amazing coffee. He knows it. That's why he doesn't invest much into updating and keeping the shop fresh. He has good ol "temecula boys" who frequent enough where he doesn't have to do much. The chairs are old and just seen better days. I wish he would take some of the profit and pour it back into just updating a little. Again LOVE THE COFFEE. Therefore, I will keep going back even though I low key don't want to. I can respect his IDGF attitude and doing it how the heck he wants. A coffee shop is about the quality of coffee and that's it. So that's why I keep going back. Super friendly staff, understanding to visitors, and makes REALLY DELICIOUS drinks! The Gunpowder Green was delicious and very well measured, hot water, and the tea bag didn't explode! The taste was strong to my liking and very good tasting! My Chai Tea Latte with oat milk was very delicious and there was the complexity of the Chai blend that I always love. More than that, it felt like they had added my shot of hazelnut very nicely and it was such a beautiful balance! Yup! A much fresher taste than I have had! read more

Service was fast and very friendly. The area is about the size of a small Starbucks pop up store. The entrance has a few outdoor seats with umbrellas. There are oversized couches with tables, warning the oversized chairs are deceiving, as I sat down it sunk me all the way in. Free wifi, which is great bc not al coffee shops are created equal. The restroom is unisex and I was not impressed, they need an immediate update on it. They were not filthy dirty, but not clean either. I tried their Wild Berry Green tea smoothie medium for $5.00 (tax included) it was tasty and tangy. read more

I'm from North County San Diego, but visit family up in Temecula often. Needed some iced coffee but didn't want Starbucks (since it seems theirs tend to be mostly milk with a splash of coffee). My sister and I went here (she has been before) and it was perfect! I ordered an iced white mocha with an extra shot, and a teeny bit less sweet. It was SO good! We've tried all the local Temecula and Murrieta coffee shops and this is by far our favorite. The owner is friendly and alert to customers needs, and knows most of his regular customers by name. I'm hooked on the Monkey Business (aka Funky Monkey). It comes hot or blended. We also regularly get the egg and cheese croissant, and yes I understand some people prefer their eggs fried but the sandwich is an excellent snack. And there are lots of pastry choices too. Starbucks used to be our go to, they are everywhere, but I got tired of coffee that just tasted like hot water or mochas that tasted like watered down hot chocolate. read more
