Last year I opted for the tuxedo-style chocolate dipped strawberries. This year I decided to get Mrs C. something different, just to see what else is in this part of town. Temptations is fairly hidden from street view but right next to the movie theater, so I'm guessing they get a ton of business when movies let out. I took Baby C out for a walk in his stroller, but the secret agenda was to order strawberries a few days ahead of time on Saturday. Temptations has a few different styles but I opted for milk chocolate with white chocolate drizzle, and paid in advance. I wrote my name, phone number & pickup time on a piece of paper, at the cashier's request. I asked if I needed a receipt or anything, and the girl stated that I didn't, and that the order would be available on Wednesday (early Valentine's this year). I left the store with a sinking feeling, since I had paid cash and had no proof of my order, or that I had even paid for it. Fast forward to Wednesday nite. I'm stuck at work and traffic is a mess. Mrs. C must pick up the order before they close. I have no idea of the specifics, but apparently everything went fine & she walks home with the order. They turned out beautifully & tasted pretty good, so I'm giving 4 stars for getting the order right & having the good sense to let Mrs. C pick it up. read more

A bit pricier than I'm used to, but the goods are not half bad. I had bought fudge from here a couple of times, Mint Chocolate (and each time I buy it, I forget the fact that it tastes like I'm eating toothpaste.) It's also dry around the edges, those parts are the grossest to eat. I'm not much of a fudge connoisseur, so if that's normal, I'm not complaining. I want to try the oreo next time, if I remember that tidbit about the mint (odds are against me, my friends. Mint Chocolate just excites me to the extent I can't think straight. Like when I see pictures of Monica Belluci.) The guy in front of me ordered a white macadamia nut cookie, which happens to be my favorite, so I thought, "Hey, what the hell, why don't I add one of those to my order as well." Little did I know, it was like $2! It was good, and rich, maybe a little too rich for my taste, but delicious nonetheless. this place has really poor quality. The rice krispie treats (which are an easy thing to get right) are consistently weird, dry, uneven, stale, and gross. Also, the caramel apples are terrible quality- it's really unfortunate. I love the vibe of the store and the customer service is super nice- but my lord- everytime I buy something here it's expensive AND BAD. bad bad bad bad bad. Come on now. This is my first yelp review, I felt compelled to write one after my experience here. The customer service is just so bad. The lady behind the counter was being short with me right off the bat. Made me feel very unwelcome the entire time. I got a caramel apple (which was really good I gotta say), when she was ringing me up I noticed it wasn't cut so I asked her as NICELY as I could to cut it for me. She stared at me for, I am not joking, 10 whole seconds and then rolled her eyes and huffed a big breath. I felt so bad I even asked that I told her not to worry about, it's totally fine. But she grabbed the apple, without saying anything, and cut it really fast and rushed.. So weird!! This place is great and simple. The goodies sold are delicious and have an abundant variety for any taste bud. I purchased a dozen chocolate covered strawberries for $40+tax, a bit pricey in my opinion, although the strawberries were pretty big in size still probably not worth the price. Also got a hold of the chocolate covered oreos which were also very delicious and wish I would of bought more. Overall great goodies, a little pricey. read more

Checked out this place before me and my boyfriend headed to menchies because we love candy! I was really hoping they sold white chocolate Reese's peanut butter cups... And THEY DO! I've been craving for some ever since I found out they existed! This place is kind of like sweet factory in the Santa Anita mall, but obviously a lot less cool, colorful and vibrant. Not as many candy selections as well too. They sell caramel apples here and a bunch of chocolates treats. I really like this place because it has a huge selection of white chocolate goodies. I don't like eating milk or dark chocolate, but I'm in love with white chocolate. It's so hard to find a place that has white chocolate of anything, especially in convenient stores & supermarkets like cvs, Ralph's, Walgreens etc... All of these were not bad but I think I would've like a regular caramel apple more than with all these too-many extra drizzles and toppings on the apples. Pricey without a deal/discount. so yeah the shakes here are pretty tasty... but the confections suck... I came here with the munchkin after a movie a few weeks ago and we enjoyed splitting a milkshake... We decided to get a couple of tasty treats to go with our shake. Well the end result was we found that the shakes were awesome. They use the real ice cream mixed with milk and top it with whipped cream. Heck they even have an old school diner style triple shake maker from my childhood days... awesome stuff. The munchkin drank most of it very quickly with a giant smile on her face and a request for more. Other than the fact that it must have been like 2000 calories, it was awesomely delicious and made us both super happy. As for the confections... well I got a mint oreo truffle half oval thingie and well, i got no mint in it =( it wasnt even that great of a truffle for just chocolate. But when you get a mint oreo and have one itty bitty piece of oreo and no mint... well that seriously sucked. The munchkin had a smore which we thought was white chocolate until we got outside and noticed it was a khaki color and not white. She said it was ok, but didnt even want to eat that much of it. So yeah if a kid says no to chocolate, well you know its pretty bad. So come here for the shakes or ice cream, but pass on the chocolates... they just are not worthwhile... read more

I usually bring my kids here and get the same items every time and never had a problem until today, I usually spend $16 but today for the same items the cashier tried to charge me $27 and when I told her that's to much , I don't think that's correct, just put the items back, she said "well how much do you want to spend?" After a good attempt at weathering a scary movie (Woman in Black), my little nine-year-old buddy and I got our monies back and walked out of the theatre (Edwards Renaissance, about 200 feet from Temptations) and into the comforting light of day. We walked over to Temptations to fill ourselves up with some good, temporarily calming sugar. I was craving sweet and sour candies, so I loaded up a clear plastic bag of sour blueberry bottles, sour apples and cherries, and sour cherry Coke candies. Yum. At this point my little charge pointed up at a top shelf and said, "Boobies." I looked up to find boxes of gummie boobies and pee-pees. He proceeded to say the b-word over and over, giggling. I proceeded to check out, a hysterical child trailing behind me. The chocolate looked so good, hand-dipped and creative designs and all. There's a little section of other sweet goodies, and little kiddo picked some Pop Rocks. Make sure to stop by before going to the movies! it's like a rocky mountain chocolate factory, but with 10x less the crowd. and that's why i never notice this place until i heard about it from a friend. i've always liked fosselman but just had it yesterday, so we decided to try Temptation for a banana split. it's cheaper, bigger portion, but a lot less flavors than fosselman. they have the simple stuff, like strawberry, chocolate, mint and chip, cookies and cream, etc. plus, the quality i believe is not as good. i think rite aid's mint and chip is better than here, but cookies and cream and strawberry are good. you can also get almond pieces instead of peanuts here, but i still prefer peanuts. one banana split is about $4.5, as well as floats, ice cream sundae, etc. besides ice cream, they have shakes, caramel apples, chocolate dipped strawberries, and chocolate..duh..it's a chocolate factory. other than that, nothing good about this place. as long as fosselman still exist, i probably won't come back to this place. read more

Other employees should definitely learn from them especially that Indian looking guy who was super bossy rude & flirty to the younger woman customers!!! BEWARE!!! I'm all for supporting smaller local businesses but Temptations Chocolate Factory really fell a little short for me. Service is excellent but maybe that is because there is nobody in here at all? It's a small candy shop and they actually have a lot of tasty looking goodies as well as some interesting but funny chocolate toys you can buy for you and your friends. The reason we came into this shop was because I had a sudden but intense craving for a caramel apple. They had a pretty good variety of caramel apples on display and we settled on the Snickers Apple. It was really pretty to look at and came drowned in both caramel and chocolate as well as cut up pieces of Snickers. But as we took our first bite of the apple, it was really made clear that the apple was not fresh. It was an old apple and it really didn't taste all that great. It melted insanely fast too once we got it home. I'm not sure if I'll ever come back to Temptations Chocolate Factory because the apple just didn't live up to the way it looked. Had the apple been a little more fresh, the caramel apple would have been much more enjoyable and worth the money. For now, I'll get my apple fix elsewhere. 2/5 read more

Came here with a friend while bumming around one Saturday afternoon in search of something sweet to complement a delightfully bitter cup of coffee. Being a huge fan of apple pie flavored (for lack of a better term) caramel apples, I was nothing short of elated to find some sitting pretty in their glass case. I rushed on over, handed the charming, smiley-faced cashier a wad of dollar bills and gleefully accepted the apple. And then I took a bite. Cue screeching tires. The coffee here is 1000x better than Starbucks or any other coffee store!!! Plus it's cheap and staff is beyond helpful and friendly. :) The store smells good :) This Temptations is better than the one in the Montebello mall. Very alluring when you read the menu, but let's start off on why this wasn't a good experience. 1. They did not have all the ingredients to make their flavored lattes. 2. The latte I ordered (chocolate chip) had all the "powder flavor" clumped at the bottom. 3. The second latte we ordered was filled half way at best and the powder was clumped at the bottom. 4. The sugar free toffee was completely stale, and their truffles tasted like something out of a cheap Valentine's Day box bought from Walmart. Everything here is handmade and you can tell the heart the employees put into their products. Lattes, ice-cream, and chocolate, I have died and gone to heaven!
