I really liked John and think he's knowledgeable, but their customer service is very bad! I booked a facial for my daughter and was quoted $125. When we got there yesterday the beautician did a basic facial (scrub, extractions, mask. No high frequency machine was even used) and charged us $175! Plus I left $20 tip. Went a month ago for an eyebrow waxing--it was fine but nothing special. Everyone that works there is very nice. Two weeks ago however, I went in to get my eyebrows shaped because they weren't looking great. Marc was with a client but asked if I could wait, probably waited 3-4 minutes and he went to WORK. Waxed, tweezed, filled in, he said he would make my eyebrows look fierce--and that he DID. The shaping was $40 not including tip but I would be more than willing to pay that for wonderful service and great end result--already booked my appointment for next time! read more

I was not happy with my semi-permanent eyebrow experience. I got them done one year ago for the first time and touched up this week. Sent pictures immediately to my sister. Her first response, "um, they're crooked." Yes they were. After several months of scrubbing/exfoliation I got them to a normal color. They started out very brown if not black and filled in. The pictures they showed me and pictures online are NOT what the finished product looks like. After about a year it was time for a touch up session. I was extremely nervous. When I got there, I explained all the things that I would hope would be corrected: 1) the color faded to a gray (I was told that would not happen.) 2) the ends of my eyebrows looked way too thick and I hoped there could be thin lines instead of a filled in, painted on brow 3) can we make them even? Long story short, they look terrible but at least they are even now. I would strongly suggest going somewhere else. Everyone that works there was very nice but I will not return here for any services. Ellie did my eyebrows both a year ago and for the touch up. read more

Natalie's eyebrow treatments are amazing. My girlfriend's brows looked so good that I went with her to a session. I was impressed with how fast and effective Natalie seemed to be, so I made an appt., too. She just did a henna brow tattoo for me, and it looks beautiful. Natalie's sensitive to not hurting you and just had an overall kindness and sweetness about her during the entire session. She gave me a free skin treatment sample, but was SO not-sales-pitchy, EVEN though I know i m in need of a total make-over. I went in for a consult for microblading or semi permanent tattooing for my brows. I specifically told Melissa and I believe it was the owner I was not sure if/when I was going to do it. I also explained I had grown out my brows and just wanted to fill in the patchy parts, but wanted to keep the shape. During the consult they showed me the shape they would create (not natural or my original brow shape). They asked if they could pluck some extra hairs and I again reminded them only a few as I didn't want thin and I just grew out my brows. After they were done they took off about half my brow and the rest was super thin. The owner was pushing me to do the tattooing right at this time and to also do additional work. I was shocked at how thin my brows were. I went to another location that was recommended for microblading as I not have no eyebrows. DO NOT GET YOUR BROWS DONE HERE!!!!! read more

I have been looking for a few years for someone to feather in my eyebrows. Elli did an incredible job, I absolutely love them. They look so real and natural. So much better than they ever looked, especially when I penciled them in. Now they are perfect all the time, even when I wake up in the morning. Elli is the best!!! He is only at Temptress on Sundays and Mondays, so it's sometimes hard to book an appointment, but it's definitely worth the hassle. read more

I had my eyebrows done with permanent makeup and the girl who did them gave me the wrong color for my complexion and made them too thick. I went back and Melissa tried unsuccessfully to correct them. Unfortunately I've had to live with this on my face for the past two years. I decided to give them an opportunity to die my eyelashes and have them curled...and again instead of getting Melissa the only seasoned technician there the owner gave me someone who was still learning how to do it. Again a disaster!!! She pulled on my eyelids and rubbed them so much I woke up this am with big bruised areas. She also left a lot of glue on my lids. In addition she got the right side done fully but totally missed the left lower lid. I called to say I am tired of getting services by inexperienced employees because the owner who is a great salesperson makes one believe her employees are all good. There is only one technical employee who is now skilled. Too bad the owner doesn't have her new people practice on her. She would then understand poor service and high prices don't go hand in hand! read more

I walked in looking to get my eyebrows done. i heard about this place from a promotional campaign at wholefood and thought i'll give it a try. i walked in and yes, the place looks nice and relaxing. but it was empty. dead... yet when i told the lady i wanted my eyebrows done, she gave the typical "let me check our books and see if we can squeeze you in..." did i mention the place was empty? like no one there?? after reviewing her busy scheduled books for a good 3mins, she came back and told me that she can squeeze me in if i come back in 15-20mins. but again, there was no one there. yah, NO Thanks!!! just like nail salons, there are a tons of places to get your brows done. And who has the time to wait for 15-20mins and put up with such snobby attitude just for brows???? it's too bad they spend so much on promoting this place only to turn customers aways with snobby service. I walked into another place down the street and they cleaned up my brows nicely right away! read more

I went inside Temptress because a friend had referred me to go in because they supposedly have great candles and skin products. When i went in there; granted it smelt wonderful but the prices of everything is so expensive. I went home and researched the products online and found alot of them cheaper from different websites I found. But then again I am a bargain shopper so I know where the discounts are... Later I will post the websites of the things I found cheaper. Anyway I went inside and a Lady told me that a lot of stuff was from Italy and different parts of the world which in matter of fact they have local distributors as well. Not to talk bad about this store because I do like their products but its way over priced and they seem money hungry as they stalk you around the store to make sure you dont steal or try to sell you something. On the plus side they do offer free waxes for first time customers so thats pretty cool. But there overall customer service is terrible. read more
