Ive been dining at Tem Sib for several years, even before the pandemic. I had relatives from out of the country visiting so I took them to where I considered one of the best Thai restaurants in Seattle/Bellevue. However, it was a huge disappointment. The 1st two pictures were the Tem Sib Pad Thai and Crab Fried Rice taken at my most visit. They used a different noodles and only used crispy pork belly. There was minimal taste of the pad thai as it was overwhelmed by the crispy pork belly. For the fried rice, we could barely tell there was crab in it. I asked the waiter and he explained the limited crab meat corresponding with the price of the dish and the crab meat was underneath the egg. It is true that pricing goes up with inflation. I did not expect this from a nice restaurant in Bellevue. If you read at the OG pictures below, you can see why I'm so disappointed. It appears that the appointing of the new chef 6 months ago has turned the restaurant into a more fusion type rather than the fine dining Thai experience. Above all, this is just a personal experience. It's sad that I won't be coming back to my used to favorite Thai restaurant anymore. read more

I am extremely jealous of Bellevue. As a Vegas native, I wish there was a Thai place that was THIS good. This place was so good that we had to come back the next day! The ambiance here is nice and chill with people filling the seats. Their servers are on point & so welcoming. The food itself? My God I wish I could take our plates back home! The pad Thai had juicy & crispy pork in it. It's honestly the best pad Thai I have ever had in my life. The fettuccine pad thai was very good considering it's a fusion dish! The fettuccine gives it a great bite. The soup itself was delicious and still had that soupy texture. The garlic chicken???? MUST TRY. The best garlic fried chicken we have had. Second time at Tem Sib today. This time we had the chicken satay which is the best I have ever had, the crab fried rice and a delicious spicy lychee tequila cocktail that was super yummy. My only constructive criticism is that I wish the crab fried rice had peas or broccoli or any other veggie besides green onions. It needs something else for texture, and color. The flavor was good but not quite as delish as other of their dishes. I'm looking forward to trying other drinks and dishes at this place. read more

I would recommend this place as a nice date night spot! This is definitely a bit higher end with most of their dishes being around $20-30 but I would recommend these as shareables. To start off, the staff was very kind and recommended us the Gai Yang Gorlek and Trust Curry which were both delicious. The curry for both were both very flavorful and unique! The Trust Curry was my personal favorite with the coconut based curry and lychee fried rice. The chicken in the Gai Yang Gorlek was a little dry but the curry dipping sauce helped mask that. We came around 1030 and we got to try both their breakfast and lunch menus (nice that they were able to accommodate us ordering since they usually don't serve lunch til 11) For brunch we tried their Kai Ka Ta which is chef recommended. This dish hit it off the park. Had everything you can ask for. The dried savory shredded pork toast to dip on their fried egg with ham and sweet pork sausage was delicious! The picked veggies completed the dish too! For lunch had to try the holy basil flank steak. Very well seasoned. Lots of green onions and spices. The duck is cooked perfectly, very tender and juicy, curry is very creamy and I can taste all the wonderful spices blend together and create flavorful curry. Place has potential, but food has to be tweaked to get a better rating. Pad Thai should be called Soggy Flour Soft Shell Crab with over sweetened, very tamarind flavored Pad Thai. Make some adjustments and it'll be fine bc the flavors and textures are there. For $22, clearly a gimmick. Mango Fish sounds so much better than it is. Nothing to it. I made a reservation for a birthday brunch and I'd say everyone was pleased with the experience. (note: their online reservations are closed, but you can call their number). We got seated in a booth that was very beautifully designed, the interior of the whole restaurant was a little dim, but they do also offer outdoor seating with umbrellas covering for shade. My family and I did family style, so we ordered a few plates to divide and conquer! Always the best way to try more dishes at a restaurant. Panang Curry with Prawns The curry was perfectly seasoned; my main concern with ordering curry at thai restaurants usually is consistency and overcooking the protein, but the curry was not watery and not too thick; the prawns were super juicy, peeled, deveined, and so plump! We got 2 stars but honestly passed as 0. Crispy Garlic Chicken was not soggy even after packing up our leftovers, your typical safe and delicious dish! Fettuccine Tom Kha was loaded with seafood! I had no idea there would be so much. They had mussels, prawns, & scallops! It also has with mushrooms, so if you're a mushroom hater, let the waiter know. It was a bit hard to get all the fettuccine well-coated in the sauce because it was watery, but, the flavor was light and creamy, I definitely think this could've been executed better in terms of thickness in sauce and a slightly stronger flavor, but still very delicious and an interesting take on fusion cuisine. Crab Omelette was a little sad and a waste of money. We barely tasted or got much of any Dungeness crab meat. I could taste slight essence but didn't see or feel any of it when I bit into the egg. Tom Yum Koong Toast with smashed avocado and shrimp was a refreshing take on your regular avocado toast. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, and it was packed with so much flavor. I wouldn't say it's worth $16, but still worth a try! Mickey Mouse Pancakes looked a bit creepy to me, but I love that they had this on the menu for kids! Just some regular pancakes with scrambled eggs and berries on the side. The first time I came for my birthday and they helped my friend set up the table with decor and gave us fun party poppers! I was so grateful for the complimentary birthday drink and dessert. Their food is pretty unique on top of the traditional Thai plates too. I've eaten the calamari, truffle fries, Tom yum soup, crispy garlic chicken, green curry, Bloody Trout, Kow Soi Chiang Mai, and green bean & eggplant. Everything was so, so delicious but I wouldn't order the trout again because I'm not a fan of a bunch of bones. The Thai tea and Original crepe cakes were both light and creamy. If I had to choose one, I'd go with the Original one: the vanilla and berries go well with each other. Ordered the crispy garlic chicken as that's a rave review here so had to try it with there brown rice as a side. we only ate a few pieces as it was extremely extremely salty and almost inedible due to how much salt they put in that sauce, mind you the presentation of the dishes here are pretty but what you taste beyond the presentation is questionable. i do love that they add the sliced red and green bell peppers with the crispy garlic chicken, it's pretty but please bring it back on the salt added to this dish as it's overpowers the dish. also asked for a small side of peanut sauce and they brought out a bowl of it and charged us $4 for that. We went for brunch here with two of my friends and we got 3 dishes to share at brunch. Was small in portion size and was pretty ok in quality considering the price point of $27 per person. The ube pancake was solid but could be fluffier and richer. The sauce was pretty solid but I don't really understand why they put sliced oranges on top with the rinds still on it. We also got their version of loco moco - it was basically a mushroom on top of a melted cheese on a patty. It claimed to be "Wagyu" but I really couldn't taste it - usually that sort of beef melts in your mouth but this patty tasted just like a regular hamburger. Finally, the egg and sandwich combination that we got was pretty solid. The egg has some cool fatty elements such as the small bits of meat and mushrooms and was pretty tasty. The sandwich was pretty underwhelming though with the condensed milf and minced pork in the middle. I arrived around 5:15, and there was (surprisingly and thankfully!!) street parking right outside the restaurant. I went inside and grabbed us a table for two. The restaurant itself wasn't busy at all -- I think there were only two other parties there at the same time as us. The restaurant was super clean inside and organized. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. We each ordered a drink off of the happy hour menu (guava margarita) and got an entree from the regular menu. I ordered the Krapao with ground chicken and brown rice, and my friend ordered a curry (can't remember which one). The guava margaritas were super yummy. A little on the sweeter side and not very strong. It could've been a little less sweet and a little stronger, but it still tasted good. The Krapao was super good. I honestly devoured my dish and ended up bringing most of the rice home. Overall, I had a super great experience here, and I would definitely come back. Looking for a dimly lit thai place for family dinner or date night? This would be one of my recommendations. The place is pretty small and decorated very modern with a trendy twist. It was easy to get seating without a reservation on a week night or at least it was for me. There is a seating area on one side, as well as many seats at the bar. The place filled up with other couples who looked like they were on dates plus a older family. The target customers definitely seem to be young adults and up. The menu items are mixed with traditional items you would normally see on any thai places menu and some more modern dishes. I ordered the salted egg yolk fries and the pad see ew. The salted egg yolk fries were okay. The salted egg yolk doesn't really stick to any of the fries. If you are sharing, you are basically just sharing a basket of fries and then have to scoop the salted egg yolk with your spoon. Better split with people you are pretty comfortable with and who just want fries / do not care about the salted egg yolk trend that seems to be going on. The pad see ew was good, not great but good enough that I would order it again. I was not used to it being served with non american broccoli so it was a surprise that I did not read the menu very well. There is a little parking lot in the building they are located in as well, which makes it even more convenient of a place to go. read more

I ordered the crab omelette, it looked great in the pics, but I wouldn't get to find out because I never got it. It never arrived...and no one noticed until I told the server to take it off my bill. I didn't get an apology, but she covered her mouth with her hand in shame which I guess was kind of an apology. But we only had to wait about 30 minutes for our mimosas, so that wasn't too bad. The ambiance was nice until I noticed all the dust swirling around in the air and I looked above us to see the gray dust covered light fixture and fake ivy...layers of dust hanging and falling down. At that point I was actually glad I didn't get food because I just kept watching the dust fall in my friend's plates and any brunch appetite I had before had disappeared. The service was awful....if we'd been sitting there in gorilla costumes, I can't imagine we'd get any less service than we got. I've never felt more invisible in a restaurant. Visit from Dec of 2021 We first visited TemSib back in June 2019. We have since been there several more times. Though there are some misses, we have found them to have both reliably tasty foods and also some unusual dishes. The latest visit was still a hit and miss. Specifically, I asked for 4 stars for my pad thai, and I tasted no spiciness whatsoever. Same for everyone's dish at the table. When I mentioned it to our waitperson, he apologized and said they are training a new chef. My friend's fish dish arrived significantly later the other dishes, by 15 to 20 minutes. The waitperson apologized multiple times for that, too. Our bill was reduced by 10% for the mistakes. At least they are acknowledging their mistakes. Even though 10% is not a huge discount, profit margin is much lower these days so I appreciate this basic gesture. I am modifying my overall rating upwards to 4 Stars from 3 Stars, mostly for their menu with uncommon and delicious meals. Our Food: Soft Shell Crab with Curry, $20 - 5 Stars Menu: Crispy Soft-Shell Crab/Curry Powder/ Scallions/Egg/Chili Jam Hubby ordered this one and said it was delicious. Crab Pad Thai,$22 - 4.5 Stars Menu: Wok Fried Rice Noodle/Superlump Crab Meat/Fried Soft Shell Crab/Beansprout/Egg /Chives/Peanut/Tamarind Sauce The crab pad thai is double crabbed (if that's a term) - the fried soft shell crab AND lump crab meat. It's great for the crab lover. The egg net adds a fun visual, but actually doesn't add much value taste wise. This dish would be even better if only it was spicy like I had ordered... Bummer. Who loves Thai food? Me! I was first introduced to this restaurant by a coworker. I've been there for lunch on a couple of occasions and found the food to be really tasty. They also offer a nice cocktail selection, although I haven't had the opportunity to try them yet. The decor is modern and the restaurant is clean -- two things I really appreciate. In addition, the staff are friendly and this is so important for a fairly new restaurant to make their mark in a city. Because of the above, I chose Tem Sib Thai Food Reimagined for a large group lunch with visiting coworkers. They were easily able to accommodate a reservation for 10 people. This was the first restaurant I tried in Bellevue, and it was great! I went around lunch time so it was fairly busy, but we got seated right away. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant was lively and great for meeting up with friends. It's right by the Bellevue library and close to a lot of different shops and restaurants. They have a large menu, but I knew I had to get my favorite Khao Soi. When it came out, I was shocked to see how big the piece of chicken inside was! I have never seen a bigger chicken in a Khao Soi before. The noodles were nice and chewy, and the crispy noodles on top actually stayed crunchy for the majority of the meal. They were beautifully arranged and added nice texture to the dish. The broth was hearty and elevated, with tons of spices. It is definitely in my top bases for Khao Soi that I've had in the states. To end the meal, we wanted the Thai Tea Crepe Cake, but because we came at lunch, they said it wasn't ready yet. They recommended the butterfly pea crepe cake instead, which we ended up getting. The flavor was subtle, and I wish had been a tad bit sweeter, but it was a nice dessert to finish with. I'll be sure to come back for that Thai Tea cake soon! read more
