We didn't so much as have a tasty time here, but had a fun time at Tasty Time! I mean, you can come for the food and all, which they offer, and I'm sure it's tasty. But we came here specifically for the karaoke, which was a blast! My friend reserved a room for us at Tasty Time as they have private karaoke rooms that are similar to the ones in Asia. I had no idea this place existed into a friend had mentioned they had done karaoke here, which we wanted to try on a Friday night. For two hours, we were able to reserve a room for $75 and they allowed us to extend our time at a prorated rate. In the front of Tasty Time is a restaurant, but at the back is the hallway to the private rooms for karaoke. In the room, there's a large screen, comfy seating and a touchscreen where you search and select the songs. They also have an iPad on the table for where you order drinks and food from. The experience was freaking fun! My friends and I had so much fun singing our hearts out, and apparently, we were the loudest ones in the place! The drinks helped. But it's worth knowing that the service can get slow for ordering drinks and food. We also ordered drinks that never came. When we realized that it was slow to get drinks, we kept putting our future orders in to add in the queue, not knowing when we would eventually get our drinks. Also, the cocktails they have are sweet. They have shots though for something stronger. My friend ordered some meat skewers for the group and they were well-liked or was it because we had too much to drink? TBD. For anyone looking to do karaoke with a bunch of friends or with a group in Bellevue then Tasty Time is a good option for just that. Located in a business strip in Bridle Trails, it's unassuming and you'd never know this place had karaoke, but it was a nice surprise to all of us who came for the first time. This place seriously impressed me -- easily one of the most satisfying late-night BBQ/skewer spots I've been to in Bellevue. The skewers are perfectly seasoned and grilled -- crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and loaded with that signature cumin-chili aroma that you can smell from a mile away. The grilled squid was incredibly tender and flavorful, and the beef skewers were smoky, juicy, and well-marinated all the way through. You can really tell they know how to control the fire. One of my favorites was the grilled tofu rolls -- soft inside, slightly crispy outside, and soaked with spice. Super addictive. The shrimp were also fresh and well grilled, not dry at all. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and everything came out hot and fast. The vibe is lively and perfect for hanging out with friends, especially late at night. Really cool looking rooms but if you're looking for a place to do serious karaoke this is probably not the place i think we were expecting encore vibes or those Korean karaokes. We basically looked up the karaoke version of songs on YouTube and it got played on big screens. Minus one point for not having YouTube premium, before and after the songs we'd have to watch YouTube ads Also another minus one since we can't queue up songs ... so I feel like those factors kind of wasted time. This restaurant used to be pretty big before the malatang spot opened up next door. I used to enjoy the karaoke here and service was great during those times. Now it is significantly smaller, but the service is still very good here. However, due to the smaller size, the sound of people singing in the karaoke rooms will fill the restaurant space more easily and it does get very loud at times. Service was good, you are greeted right away, you can make reservations, your food and drinks come quickly. The rooms are nice and clean and the set up is good. But otherwise the experience was great and they have a good selection of English, Asian and Russian songs as well as access to YouTube. The fried rice was really good and had "wok hay". The meats on the skewers were so so tender and delicious! Located in a strip mall with plenty of parking spaces. Upon entry, I noticed that the dining room is pretty narrow, about 6 tables with 4 seats at each. There is a karaoke plus mahjong room that is open for reserve for party. There are 2 beverage fridges that offer plenty of choices. I was directed to one of the tables and shown to orders on a tablet. The foods came out very slowly, more than 20+ mins and the waitstaff kept reassuring that this is part of the experience since skewered cooking takes time. We were the only table at that time. When the foods arrived, some were hot and some had gotten cold. I was told that the entire restaurant operate on a small grill only. The table that came in after us must have waited even longer. The taste was good. Our favorite was the beef, very flavorful, right amount of spices, not greasy and charred right. The rest weee all well prepared too. We threw in some sour fish, veggies, and a really spicy tendon stew as well. Skewers- These actually really hit the spot for me and really scratched the itch I had for Chinese bbq. By itch, I mean the yearning for bbq meat absolutely and unhealthily doused in cumin. We got the beef and lamb of course but also threw in bacon enoki, chicken gizzard, and chicken heart. Sour fish- They had a couple options to choose from and we went with the peppercorn. If you're looking for some spicy mala goodness, you should totally get this. You pick two meats to go in here as well and this might be a hot take but spam should absolutely be one of the meats you pick. Spicy tendon stew- Not sure what this was called on the menu since a friend ordered it but let me warn you that if you order something like this, you better be ready to take on true spicy. This one wasn't easy for somebody like me who's not ready for 5 star spicy to eat. If I had more time and stomachs, I would have gotten the dry pots as well. I think most of the bad reviews seem to be regarding their karaoke but if you don't care for it, this place deserves much higher reviews.
