Unnecessary Repairs: Replacing parts that were not faulty (as proven by my successful use of the old parts) indicates intentional overcharging. Lack of Transparency: Failing to provide a detailed invoice, delaying part number delivery, and refusing to sign handwritten part numbers suggest an intent to obscure the repair details. Price Gouging example: The extreme markup on parts (e.g., 1825% on the Mass Air Flow Sensor Connector) is far beyond reasonable industry standards. Kenan Ajaj and Joe, I trusted you as reliable mechanics, but my experience was deeply disappointing. On May 14, 2025, I brought my 2014 Audi A4 Quattro to Only4 Auto Care in Dallas, TX, for a starting issue caused by a shorted coil connector. Joe claimed a blown ECU fuse was fixed, but additional parts were needed, costing $2162.20. He said only OEM parts were available, yet after receiving the part numbers I found non-OEM parts at a fraction of the cost (e.g., Mass Air Flow Sensor: $546.66 vs. $34.49). This is just one of the multiple not need parts. I requested an invoice with part numbers multiple times, but Joe didn't send it. On May 17, he provided a printed invoice without part numbers and later texted numbers without descriptions, refusing to sign a handwritten invoice. On May 17, I returned to address missing body panel push pins, low-quality vinyl tape (not high-temperature cloth tape), and no heat shielding. Only two of three replaced parts were returned. I replaced the new parts with my originals, and the car has run perfectly for two months, proving the repairs were unnecessary. Prices were also inflated compared to Audi Dallas (e.g., Sensor Connector: Only4 price only for part $265.02 vs. $13.77 from Auto Dallas). This suggests deceptive practices, violating the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act. This also show price gouging again for a part not needed. On August 1, 2025, at 1 PM, I discussed these issues with Rambo, expecting a call from Ken or Joe, but none came. I'm seeking a full refund and have filed complaints with the Texas Attorney General and BBB. Avoid this shop to prevent similar experiences. I looked across the street and I saw Red Oak Auto Repair and I pulled in right after they opened and I explained what was going on and they checked every tire, offered me some water and coffee, and they got me together. Confirmed that it was a censor that was malfunctioning but still give me a little more air than what was required just in case there was leak or something since I was driving far. They were so kind. Red Oak Auto Repair Center is a beautiful new limestone and red brick building on Ovilla Road near where we live in Glenn Heights. They've been open a few months and we decided to drop by and present our truck's problem. We had been told that the EGR valve and gasket needed replaced and our usual oil change and simple repairs place would be unable to do it. We were greeted immediately by a friendly young man who introduced himself as Mo. Mo listened, understood what another place had to say about the issue and offered to do a free diagnostic while we waited. I have to say that the waiting area is more like a living room than your standard waiting area. There are two distinct areas. One side has a coffee bar with snacks and a refrigerator with drinks and water. The unisex restroom is on that side in the corner. There's a four kettle chair seating group with a table, rug and a wall TV. Across the room is a comfy long couch and two chair set with tables, large area rug and a wall TV. The light green walls were a wonderful change from automotive or industrial design and there was lots of natural light. Just a lovely airy welcoming room. We had showed up somewhere around closing time not knowing really that they would start on the repair. They choose to and in the end, we waited until they closed. They had to go buy a part and on the Ram 2006, the part was very difficult to get to and then get out, as it was rusted in place. Mo kept us aware of everything as it developed and offered to drive us home and bring the truck to us after the repair was done in the morning. We lived but a few miles away. The repair with tax, labor and parts was $324.75. They worked hard on this repair. This truck has never been housed in a garage. Dodge Rams live long but this is the second engine. It's been awhile since we have had a repair other than A/C or a turn signal. Given what Red Oak Auto Repair did for us and the great rapport we established, I can say we'll definitely be back!

I went to Inspection Express on May 18, 2026 to get my car inspected. They recommended a coolant…read moreflush and brake fluid flush, which I declined. Later that day my car overheated, and after taking it back we discovered that the coolant reservoir cap had not been properly installed. What followed was a three-month, $4,200 ordeal across multiple mechanics, eventually resulting in Freeman Honda replacing the heater core, radiator, and two cooling fans. To be clear, I cannot say that the improperly installed reservoir cap caused all of the cooling-system problems that were subsequently discovered, and I'm not claiming that it did. To their credit, Inspection Express took responsibility for their mistake and worked with me toward a solution. They performed some work at no charge and agreed to pay for diagnostics. We also had a verbal agreement that they would perform the eventual repair through their shop network. I ultimately backed out of that arrangement because the diagnosis called for removing the dashboard to replace the heater core, and after everything that had happened I wasn't comfortable having them perform such an invasive repair. I chose to have Honda complete the work instead. Inspection Express ultimately reimbursed me $938 toward my Honda bill. During my various visits to the shop, one thing that concerned me was how quickly everything seemed to move. Given the basic mistake made with my coolant reservoir cap, that pace did not inspire confidence. I also had concerns about some of the maintenance recommendations and prices I was given. My advice to customers would be to research recommended services and compare prices before authorizing additional work. I appreciate that Inspection Express took responsibility and made genuine efforts to make things right. At the same time, this experience cost me too much time, money and energy for me to feel confident recommending them for mechanical work.
