Incredibly mediocre. Shellac manicure was one of the least inexpensive in Austin - but not worth it to sit there counting the minutes until you can leave. Manicure lasted 1 - 1.5 weeks for me, which is pretty standard when I get shellac. Mostly I was mortified as one of the technicians kept putting her appointment (who was sitting in the chair well before I was) on hold to tend to whatever her teenage daughter wanted. She stopped her paying customer for 10+ minutes in order to go in the back and do the other girls eyebrows. Like I said, inexpensive but not worth it. read more

When i walked in a man greeted me and cut, trimmed , and prepped my nails ... he was very good... and up to that point i was very happy with the length and the work... ( i did start with short nails because i have a 3 month old baby at home) ... BUT then another lady comes to me and says shes going to color my nails... so she grabbed my bag and moves it, i follow her and she's like " I haven't seen you in a long time!! Thats why your nails look like this... theyre very short" (mind you i do not live in austin so it was my first time here lol) . I just smiled... she then started to paint my nails and finger... and she kept filing them down and down and down to the point they started to hurt. Well, let me start by saying that I'm not a veteran of regular pedicures - so maybe I'm not as versed as the rest who have reviewed here. However, having dated a nail tech for a couple of years, I do know what good nail (attention to detail in particular) looks like. That said, there are some things I liked - and some things they could improve. Liked : It was quiet and relaxing there. No crazy music nor chatter. Offered a free beverage (I opted for water). Needs improvement : 1.) Technicians were 'just there'. Other reviewers spoke about how they were treated (e.g. personable, sweet, friendly) - but my experience was certainly nothing special. 2.) Nail work : I only had a pedi, but they left my toes uneven and one jagged. If you use 4 different implements on my feet, certainly you're gonna get the nails right. These missed seemed just lazy to me. 3.) Classic Pedi = $25 - which is what they charged me. They worked on my daughter ~25 mins longer (on me, they started later, finished earlier+no polish for me) - and charged her the same rate. That was unexpected, but would it kill you to make more effort (more soak or more massage) for the full rate? If you want better ratings, then you'll need to step it up. read more

First time at Ten Nails. A little shop near my house with prices that seemed great so I walked in and was promptly seated within 5 minutes of walking in. Water temperature was perfect. I opted for the classic pedicure for $30. The 8 minute massage was underwhelming and they applied little to no pressure which was a little weird and more like having a stranger creatively applying lotion on my shins and feet than a massage. The pedicure was good, nails were shaped nicely and cuticles were beat back into submission without a single miss snip. Polish application was less impressive and they were pretty heavy handed and needed to use remover and a paintbrush around the nails to correct mistakes, but still 100% better than doing it myself. When they finished, they carefully put on a pair of foam flip-flops and pulled out a chair over at a drying table. I could hear a fan and felt a slight breeze, but there was no light which I thought was odd, but didn't think too much about it. I sat there for about 25 minutes (no one came and checked on me) and decided that surely that was enough time and now I could get on with the rest of my Saturday. I paid with the same person who had done the pedicure (they said nothing), tipped 20%, and then left, not blown away, but generally satisfied with my experience. About an hour after I had gotten home, I noticed there was some rippling on the surface of my big toe nail. I looked closer and ran my finger over the spot and the entire freakin surface of the nail polish smeared. Still. Freakin. Tacky. AFTER AN HOUR AND A HALF. What a waste. So glad I paid $36 and ended up having to paint my own f*cking nails. read more

This is my favorite place to go, for almost 10 years! This is not only because they do an amazing job, but they genuinely care about EVERYONE that walks in there. I hear all of the women and the gentlemen ask about clients kids, their jobs, their husbands, and even their recent trips. They even called me, privately, to check on me when I have had life circumstances. They are all so amazingly sweet and kind! I even saw a woman in there recently who raved about how amazing they are with her, since she is a diabetic and has to be extremely careful about her skin. If you want to just get your nails done, go elsewhere. If you want them to care about you and what they are doing then come here! read more

I was going to another place in town but my nail guy changed locations and they wouldn't give any information of where he went (weird, right?). From the first time I called to check pricing, the owner, Nina answered and had the sweetest demeanor I new I would be taken care of. I only get SNS and she assured me she could take care of it. This was my first time visiting Ten Nail and I was very happy with the service! Luckily they were pretty slow when I went in and they got me in a chair and started my pedicure right away. I'm 8 months pregnant and got light headed mid pedicure and they were very accommodating, allowing me to step outside and catch my breath before continuing. I'm giving the salon two stars because even though the ladies were nice, my nails and the pain that came with them were not worth the price. I got a manicure and pedicure. The total was $100. It's a bit pricey but I was willing to spend the money because it had been so long since I pampered myself and I wanted my nails to look good for a wedding I was in this past Saturday. I'm not sure if the nail tech was new or if she was just working too fast but she cut me several times - once on my toe and on my fingers. I would flinch and she apologized which I appreciated. My toe was swollen the next day, and my fingers were raw for a few days after. The only thing I like about my nails is the color and length. I've attached photos of the scabs on my fingers. I feel like for the amount I spent ($120 including tip), the nails should look and feel better. The scabs are not a good look. I won't be going back. read more
