The decor and service is lovely, but unfortunately the food hasn't improved too much since my last visit a few years ago. While sounding good on the menu, I felt the flavors were lacking especially at this price point. We were pretty happy with the raw items, the hamachi, oysters and scallops. The scallop crudo felt like it should have been served with some chips or some vessel... We were just scooping scallops, cucumber and avocado out with some forks. The pork belly came and was presented well, but the pork belly itself was quite bland. The skin is crispy, most of the flavors came from the pickled carrots and vegetables. The hanger steak was cooked well, but it was way too salty. It was paired with this orange dip with maybe gojuchang?, fried potatoes pieces, roasted turnip, dill and pickled onions...it didn't work and it just tasted like a salty 58$ mess. The crispy brussel sprouts were for sure crispy.. and there was a big bowl of it....but it was way too salty/acidic with no sweetness to balance it. We gave it a second chance since we loved the vibes, but we were quite disappointed again and will likely not be coming back....

Honestly, not sure why this place isn't packed but hope someone sees this and will stop by to try their food. There are maturing spots where it's all bout the vibes and champagne but here you get the quality of food that doesn't disappoint. The location seems out of place and a bit hard to notice. I believe there is a rear entrance where the patio is but we entered through pico. Server was amazing attentive and friendly. I'll definitely be back for dinner and brunch ofc.

Noodles were firm, but bigger portions would have been better. I noticed the older lady packing the veggies and noodles to be a bit stingy with the portions. I saw her putting some back into the pan. Hmmm? After taking my order back to the table, I opened the container. I noticed there weren't much teriyaki sauce with the chicken. I walked back over here to ask for a container of sauce. Young lady was nice to give it. Thank you Miss! Per my daughter, the whole plate was good. No complaints. Coming from her, it's a good thing because she's a picky eater. I initially sat at the bar, but despite being there for several minutes, I wasn't greeted or acknowledged by the bartender. I understand that staff can be busy, and I wasn't expecting immediate service. However, a simple, "I'll be with you shortly," or even a quick acknowledgment would have been appreciated. Instead, I was completely ignored. Thinking perhaps the bartender was only responsible for preparing drinks and not taking orders, I got up and went to the hostess stand. The host was kind, promptly seated me, and was seated in a booth. Moments later, I watched two Caucasian women sit down at the bar. They were immediately greeted, given menus, and attended to without delay. Seeing that stark difference in how we were treated was incredibly disappointing. At that point, I no longer felt welcome. I felt embarrassed, overlooked, and, unfortunately, discriminated against. Rather than continue waiting in an environment where I didn't feel valued, I chose to leave. I believe every guest deserves to be acknowledged and treated with the same courtesy and respect, regardless of their race. As an African American woman, it was difficult not to notice the contrast between how I was treated and how the next guests were welcomed. I chose to spend my money elsewhere, where I felt my business would be appreciated. I sincerely hope management takes the time to address this, because every customer deserves fair and respectful service. I will never in my life spend money at this location again.
