Regular non gel pedicure was $59. I didn't ask prices beforehand but that seems VERY steep. I've been to this salon years ago and I liked it because of the fair prices. I think they may have upcharged me to the more expensive package pedicure with a massage without asking which is not good practice. read more

I will preface this by saying I did not ask the cost of my services before sitting down. I have been a customer of this business for over 12 years and I live in the neighborhood. I asked for a manicure and a pedicure for a man. Very basic services. No polish, no buff. When I went to pay the total was $108. This is a neighborhood nail salon that does a good job but I don't know how they think they will stay in business charging prices like this. Ì and tipped accordingly but I will not return. I believe that they are charging for the smallest amount of massage and jacking the price up without telling you beforehand. In the past they have done a good job... I was here in December and paid $35 for a regular pedicure. it was nice and I was hoping the next time I came to upgrade to a spa or deluxe pedicure for $45-$55. This week I came in and there were no options for different types of pedicures as they have rebranded ...the exact same pedicure I got for $35 is now $59. They handed me a "eye mask" to use at home as party of the new service. The rest of the pedicure was basic. No mask, no heated towels, no frills. I used to like this since it is our neighborhood spot, but not sure it's worth it. read more

Same as another reviewer - this was my go-to nail place but they changed ownership suddenly and now the prices are jacked up. Same pedicure that was $35 is now $59 - now I need to find a new place I guess. It was nice but I don't think it was worth that kind of premium. I got my nails done here about a week ago and I'm honestly so disappointed. I've taken several showers since then and my hair keeps getting caught between the nails -- it's so frustrating. I didn't even like how they turned out in the first place. I can't believe I spent $80 on this. If you can't shape the nails properly or ensure symmetry, maybe you shouldn't be doing nails at all. read more

8/29/21 It would seem that when I was considering getting a pedicure while walking around Arlington Cemetery,  my wish was taking into account.  I ended up doing some sightseeing down some backroads I wasn't familiar with.  I ended up in an area I somewhat knew.  I saw a 7 Eleven and pulled up close to it.   I ended up seeing a nail salon right in front of me called Tenley Nail Salon.  Coincidence?, fate? or pure luck?  In the words of The Rock and his doppelganger,  "IT DOESN'T MATTER!" Regardless,  I needed a pedicure.   The shop isn't a big shop, but it has the required tools and equipment for a manicure, pedicure  waxing and possibly eyebrows.  I don't know about massage, but I am sure it could be done, if that is an option.   I asked about waxing and I was informed they do waxing, but ran out of wax today.  I was told they were very busy with the waxing earlier that day.  No worries,  I wasn't going to do waxing today. The thought did cross my mind though.   It is better to call and set up an appointment ahead of time. I will do this the next time I get some treatments done here. I was greeted by a woman in a blue dress.   There appeared to be only two Nail Technicians working at this time.  The lady in the blue dress did not seem understand my request for power drilling off the dead cuticles on my feet. I don't like having my cuticles cut, because of living tissue possibly being cut. Yes, I have said this before, and I am saying it again an elephant's faithful 100%. The blue dress lady started looking for what she thought I was asking for, then talk to her partner in Vietnamese.  To my surprise, the blue dress lady took over her partner's  table; as well, as her client. The a lady in a all black dress assisted me instead.  I forgot the lady in the black dress's her name, but she might have been the store owner or manager on duty.  Her English Language was very clear, but she wasn't very talkative unless she was asking me a direct question.  The whole pedicure thing was very relaxing, but the massage chair like many other places I have been to did not have a functioning massage for the butt.  This function did not see to be working:( yes, I like my glutes massaged. Who doesn't? This is a better question?  Digressing once again... The most memorable part of my pedicure  was the calaus remover.  Once the lady in the black dress put the gel on a one time use disposable scrubber,  she went to town on my feet.  Now there are times I am ticklish and scrubbing my feet with the scrubber felt like torture at time.  It reminds me of two things I saw and heard long ago.   1. I heard on The Ricki Lake Show,  A man came home tired from work, stripped naked and fell asleep on top of his bed.  He woke up to find himself tied up and spread eagle to his bed.  His wife proceeded to tickle him for hours.  He did get her back somehow. 2. There is a movie made in 1970 called Pippi in the South Seas."Pippi Longstocking is coming into your world, A freckle-faced redhaired girl, you outta know She'll throw your life into a whirl." Anyhow, there is a scene where  Pippi's father Captain Ephraim Longstocking is tortured  by being tickled.  Normal torture didn't work on him, but being tickled did. He was mercilessly tortured tickled until he gave up the information his captors wanted. Personally being strapped to the bed and having my feet tickled would be cruel and unusual punishment.   I can imagine one's shins banging against the restrains.  Anyhow, the woman in the black dress removed a lot of dead skin with the help of the claus remover.   The lady in the black dress did a good job.  My feet felt much better after she was done.  I liked that a new disposable kit was opened in front of me and a disposable plastic covers  for the foot Spa was used.  Honestly,  without that disposable plastic cover, I would have had to decline a pedicure.   I find it hard to believe the disposable plastic covers were not used until maybe just a year or two ago. Scary yes/no?  ( In Russian: strashno da / net?) Maybe next week, I will call and set up an appointment for a manicure and waxing.  Time will tell, but I liked this place. I will return. read more

I've been coming here for years, bringing multiple friends, and today's manicure was disappointing. The paint was unevenly applied and didn't reach the edge of the nail on one side. I came with a friend who had the same services and her experience was different and seemed like the technician took their time. May try again in the future with a different technician. read more

Starting with the positive: they were able to take me on a Friday after reopening due to corona virus (that should have been a sign). It was clean overall. Apart from that the job was horrible in my opinion. I got a fill in and the woman made them thick and clunky looking. The polish was heavy coated on and just looks bad. Not the absolute worst I've had but bad enough that I wouldn't go back. It cost $30 for a fill which was too much for the job she did. read more

I've lived in arlington for 1.5 years now trying out different nail salons. Average mani after average mani I finally found this place thanks to another yelp review. While Tenley is amazing, Sandy is a glowing star!!! Almost don't want to share her name so I can keep her for myself. Went for the 1st time this week and maybe I got a bad tech but one of the worst manicures I got. The tools and place were clean, which is huge, but this woman couldn't get the coats evenly. She also wore lose clothing and in her haste to turn off a nail fan, her bellbottom type sleeves messed up my nails..she seemed annoyed at me for her own mistake. She did a crappy job cutting my cuticles and didn't ask me what shape or length I wanted for my nails. I also didn't appreciate the disparate treatment... the woman next to me was offered a beverage and they betn over backwards for her and her toddler son, but I felt like chopped liver. Maybe I'll go back later since it's close to my house but I'm avoiding this technician I had (long fake hair with glasses). Awful! read more

I had a pedicure using a Living Social deal with Chrissy a couple days ago. She did a great job and you know from past reviews I am picky when it comes to nails and pedicures. I got a sugar scrub pedicure. She did a great job cleaning up my nails and shaping them. The place was clean, but I didn't like the design and flow of the place. I'm use to more upscale places and their regular prices are the same as the place I go to now but the decor is better and I get full service. I will come back again because they're close to my house than my regular place all the way in Woodbridge, but it won't be my regular spot. More like my mistress. read more

I've never been disappointed coming here. Tonight was especially good with Vee, the best pedicure I've had. The new owner Lisa is super nice and has kept all the great parts about the salon. Every nail tech I've had here has been very friendly, professional, and thorough. They have a great color selection, and the salon is always spotless! You can see the machines where they sanitize their tools, which I like because some other salons in the area have questionable sanitizing practices. The prices are reasonable and I always know what to expect when I walk in. I would recommend calling ahead or making appointments since it can get pretty busy sometimes. But, even when they're busy, they always take good care of their customers and don't make you feel rushed or sacrifice quality. I'll be back again soon! read more

I saw a groupon for a $22 gel manicure for this place and bought it without looking up reviews for the salon. I'm not surprised that the reviews they have now are great but i am surprised here are so few! They have only been open a year and I'm so happy i found them! They were able to take me right away and my manicurist Cathy was amazing. They have great customer service and they do an amazing job! I will be back and recommend this spot to friends. read more

Great nail techs and clean for pedicures. My gel mani lasts 2-3 weeks easily with very minimal chips. I do a lot of dishes so it's expected.

Extremely over price I left after the lady put the nails on my hand with the wrong shape. No thank you $55 to refill and fix two nails?? No.

Just moved to Arlington and have been here twice for mani/pedi. Very friendly atmosphere, clean, and my nails look great!
