Got there just before our 6pm reservations and did not get seated til about 6:20pm. Waitress was very nice and had great timing with ordering/serving of drinks, miso soup & salad, but a cook did not come to our table til after 7pm. If we weren't with a party I would have left cash for the soup/salad and left as we were sitting around waiting for a long time. Food was ok ~ not bad but nothing special either. Location was not very busy but could tell they were short cooks. From 6pm reservation to 7pm actual cook start is unacceptable, especially when with babies/toddlers. We come maybe once a year for something "different" as their are not many Teppan style restaurants in the area. Every time we are disappointed and the last time we came our credit card was charged more than the amount we signed for and took 2 weeks for them to resolve even when they agreed it was their error (whole other story...). This place was a disappointment: the food was mediocre at best, show took forever to begin and food was mediocre, restaurant is dirty and in need of pressure washing, staff doesn't care and it's expensive. Waited about 40 minutes to be seated then waited another 15 to start the show. Show lacked any of the nice tricks other restaurants have. Overall the quality of this food was horrible especially b cause of the high premium prices they charged. I received dirty flatware and dishes twice. Staff seemed bothered when I pointed it out. Having worked holidays in the service industry, I can relate to employee's frustration of attending last minute customers. My family, however, was adamant that we have Easter dinner here an hour before closing, but I digress. The staff was beyond amazing. From the friendly host, the aptly skilled cook, the customer service was A+, as well as the food, of course! This review is mainly about the wonderful server, Janet, who attended us Easter night. This was the worst Teppan steak house I've ever been to. The service is horrible, the cook forgot half the food we ordered. They don't cook the rice in front of you they bring from the back. Taste like frozen fried rice you get at the grocery store. Trader Joe's has better fried rice. The restroom were disgusting. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

TSH chosen, based on a previous visit, to be treated to dinner by friends. Second visit, disappointing. On arrival at approximately 5pm, greeting was good and wait for seating short. Drink order, wine corking was slow. Service of soup and salad was acceptable. Napkins were not delivered with soup or salad. Surprising that when a request was made for napkins, we were asked, "How many?" Eventually, dinner plates with a napkin and a fork, no knife, were set. Chef was not personable and seemed to prefer chit-chatting with a customer at our grill. Meat was served first and cooled to room temp before veggies were plated, and the rice was cold. Bean sprouts were plated almost as an afterthought. My friend asked for a jalepeno pepper and was told it would take too long to roast. He then asked for a raw pepper and was told it would cost $2.50. After telling the wait person to forget about it, a roasted pepper was delivered toward the end of the meal. The fam and I weee having a nice delicious meal and my daughter tells me she has to go to the bathroom. (Mind you every time we come here I have my kids go to the bathroom at home to avoid going to Teppan's bathroom) we walk in and the smell of sewer is thick you can cut it with a knife! So this place has a lot of potential but as of now it's just okay. To start we were served cold miso soup that tasted like bland chicken broth. I ordered the filet mignon hibachi and my husband ordered the swordfish hibachi. The chef was obviously new to hibachi as he took 2x as long as the table next to us and he didn't do any of the "tricks" you would expect. Now for my meal, other than the soup, it was pretty good! My filet mignon was cooked perfectly and the fried rice was delicious. The veggies could have been cooked a little longer. My husbands swordfish was obviously not fresh but edible. This was our third time going to this restaurant, we recently went for my dad's birthday and fortunately we got Lynette as our server again! We have gotten Lynette multiple times as our server. Not only is the food always delicious but Lynette's service is AMAZING. She is always so attentive of our stay there, always getting us refills without us asking for them. My husband and I have been here several times now, so here is my solid review. The food is always delicious. The chefs aren't as entertaining as some other hibachi places I've been to, but the quality of food never disappoints and that's what really matters to me. The sushi is also great, even though we know we shouldn't order it because we can already never finish the huge entree portions in one sitting (yay for leftovers!) They have plenty of grills/tables, so the wait is never outrageous. The servers and chefs are always pleasant and make sure you're happy with the food, and your glass is never empty. To start the Restaurant along with the restrooms are filthy. Cooks are mistreated by the owner and forced to rush food. Tricks are none existent, a volcano if you're lucky. Soy sauce is watered downed and sushi is cheap with old fish. Fired rice and veggies were good, but the meat quality is subpar compared to Osabi and Yamato. What upset me the most was the Asian owner mistreating the cooks and humiliating them in front of customers. Not cool at all Man. Will never go back. The steak was cooked exactly to my liking and the sushi was good enough to make the dinner cut. The prices are normal for a sit down restaurant with what seems like a high overhead cost. It honestly hurts my heart to write this review to this restaurant and only give them a one star. We went on a week day after we got off work to celebrate two birthdays. We use to live in the area and would always celebrate our family's birthdays here for like 13 years! So now we moved away and when it was my daughters birthday we asked where she wanted to go it was here she chose, so we made the 30 min drive to celebrate. (April 4) We arrived at 8:30 like they said to ( we called ahead) in order to be served dinner. We were a large party of 8 so we filled a whole table. We were seated quickly and in 15 min had ordered . We then waited an hour for the cook to come to our table, watching two tables that sat down after us get their cooks first. At this point we had had salad and soup and our drinks only. The chef was great however we had three people in our party ordering sushi so one order came quickly - before our chef even came to the table, we then waited 25 min and asked where the other orders were for the sushi , she said the sushi cook forgot and will bring it. In 5 min the second order came. We then waited another 10 min for our last order and when we asked the waitress, she went to check on it and came back and said he forgot to make it but now he closed up the station and it can't be made and they would take it off our bill. They didn't care at all - Ok this was my daughters meal it was her dinner and they didn't seem to care at all that she wasn't going to be eating now at 9:45 pm. We finally got the rest of our meal which we were so hungry and inhaled it. When we went to leave it was a bill over $300 and they had placed a 15% gratuity on the bill making our bill almost $400. Now i dont mind tipping at all and i usually tip good, but when the service isn't good, it's not ok to make me pay a large tip that isn't deserving. Making us wait an hour for the chef, forgetting orders isn't deserving i was so disappointed. After coming here for now over 15 years tonight's treatment will keep us from coming back I'm sad to say. I tried to call and speak to a manager but no phone call back. I feel like because of the issues they should have taken a meal off our tab and let me tipped how i thought they deserved. read more

When I mentioned it the waitress said "oh it's because you ordered a beer and someone else handles the beer"..... ummm okay? He even noticed the couple's children who sat next to us were scared of the fire and made a point to make them feel at ease by creating sea animal designs with the food for them to look at.
