Terrible experience! I called to place an order: 2 enchiladas, one beef one chicken. Simple. The man who took my order and asked if I wanted rice and beans. I said "NO BEANS". Picked up the food and brought home. First two bites didn't taste as expected and I realized that there were refried beans underneath the rice (not visible when I went to take a bite) as well as throughout the plate and my enchiladas. I called back to speak to the man who took my order and he remembered me, said "yes, no beans". When I explained what happened he was very nonchalant and said "yeah, sometimes that happens". Thankfully I don't have a severe allergy, but there was a reason I asked for no beans and they were not viable until after I took a few bites. Although he offered for me to come back for a refund (NO, I'm not leaving my home to drive back there) I told him we just won't be back. I've lived in this neighborhood for 5 years and this was my first meal there-big disappointment. The ground beef was not good at all, more like a paste than actual beef; one bite was enough. They also sent this meal with a bag full of stale, hard chips. Even my 7 year old who usually eats lots of these declined after one. What a disappointment. read more

Ordered Supreme shredded beef quesadilla, it was filled with bell peppers and onions, very little chunks of beef. Also Supreme chicken quesadilla which was hard and burnt(no bell peppers or onions. I came here based off the menu and reviews while I was visiting on a business trip. To start the bartender was horrible and inattentive. The drinks were just ok, the mint in the watermelon mint was already turned brown but they still used it as garnish in the drink , the food was not impressive at all, I ordered the Ceviche and the shrimp was boiled and overcooked, not marinated in citrus as advertised in the menu and to be expected when classically prepared it was dry, tasteless and paired with fresh avocado and frozen mango. I tried to order more food twice and was ignored. My bill was $55 and I left a $20 tip despite everything and would have spent 4 times that amount if they would have given better service and asked and engaged their customer. The owners need to train staff better cause they lost out on revenue due to poor customer service. read more

I've been here four times. Each time, progressively worst. Watered down drinks made from a mix. Slow, inconsistent and inattentive service. Good, but not great food. I give credit to the great chips. Have had Jesus as our waiter twice. Both times, the food came out, out of order, something was missing and/or we were incorrectly billed. Queso. Yes, queso. Easy right? Never came out. Geez its loud in here. Its a very nice space in a recently built strip mall on Diffley in Eagan. Poured concrete floors and lots of brick on the inside, so there is nothing to absorb the sounds of one hundred or so conversations on a busy Friday night. I had to almost yell at my wife across the table to make myself heard. Lots of booths and tables on your left and in front of you as you enter the main doors and what looks like a really nice bar area to the far right. Lots of flatscreens spread around the entire room. The menu is pretty extensive with the expected fare (taco, burritos, etc. with the standard combo plates. Its my first visit so I stuck with a standard combo plate of three items for $10. Chose a hard shell taco, beef burrito, and a chimichanga that came with refried beans and rice. Overall it was decent. Nothing stood out as being particuarly good, but it wasn't terrible. I hate how ethnic food has to be altered to suit American tastes. It particularly irks me when it comes to Mexican and Chinese food. It tasted like the "Mexican" food you would get at any other restaurant of the same type outside of a few restaurants here in town. The taco was what I expected it to be: slightly underseasoned but palatable. The chimichanga came smothered in a white cheese sauce that while not detracting from it, didn't really add anything to the dish. The burrito was pretty good and the refried beans were ok. The rice that comes on the side is something that I've never come to like as no matter where I've had it seems to be too far on the dry side. I assume thats due to sitting in a bin waiting to be spooned out on the plate. I had the world's biggest Negra Modelo that lasted me the entire meal. The rest of the beers on tap (other than Pacifico, Corona and Dos Equis) were the typical American lagers. Its a nice room. Its clean and the bathrooms are immaculate. If you are in Eagan its a decent place to stop in and have a quick lunch or dinner. I think authenticity suffers, but in the suburbs its not a priority. read more

If you are missing something, they will blame you and tell you that you left without checking, therefore its your fault. We ate here on Tuesday night and it was incredible! Our server was super nice, our dinners literally came out in 5 minutes (no joke) and were perfectly delicious. We ordered two burritos (the California burrito was sooooo good) and one of the two entree combos with a burrito and an enchilada, which didn't have as much food due to the smaller portion size but was still filling. We were very pleased with the food and such quick great service and will be back! read more

Stay away from their catering!! Order $250 worth of food and gave one week advance notice. Picked it up the day of the party. Got to our house for the party and opened everything up and 20% of it was missing. No guac, no chips, no lettuce. The guac alone was a $30 up charge. They were not able to give me a receipt when we picked it up and that had created a huge issue trying to get a refund for the missing items. Took them over a week to respond in the first place a d now we've been going back and forth for another three weeks. Highly encourage you to get your Mexican catering somewhere else. This was my first visit to Teresa's. The staff didn't seem particularly interested in greeting customers and they weren't busy. Once seated, I immediately received chips and salsa by an attentive young man. He was very personable, but I failed to get his name. The margarita was plentiful, but not extraordinary. The restaurant was noisy and there were lots of kids running around and screaming. I asked the server for her recommendation on two different meal choices and she knocked it out of the park! The Pollo San Jose was fantastic; I highly recommend it! I'll visit Teresa's again, but may try a different location. read more

I ordered steak street tacos with cactus. My first taco was filled with peppers. The waiter tried telling me it was the cactus. No it was LOADED with peppers. The other two tacos did not have any peppers just steak and cactus. Waiter did get me milk and two new tacos. But was sick to my stomach so just ate one. They comped me my meal. Probably the worst Mexican food I have had. I ordered a chili relleno and a pork tamale. It came with rice and beans. The relleno was a soggy mess like it had been frozen and all the liquid was running out. The pork tamale literally had one piece of pulled pork in it. I had to rip it apart to find the one piece of meat. Worse yet was the Mexican rice. They put frozen mixed vegetables in the rice ( green beans, corn & carrots) it was horrible. My wife decided she wanted to eat at Teresas for Mother's Day, best decision we could have made. We were greeted by who I assume was the manager on duty. Let me tell you about this gentleman, he works so hard and cares about his guests (I believe Lupe is his name). We wanted a quieter booth because we have a little baby (typical parent! Sorry!) He personally cleaned it for us and made us feel very welcomed, everywhere I looked there was Lupe helping out, assisting people, helping his employees; all with the biggest smile on his face and his favorite word "amigos"!!! Service was great. The were all working hard in probably one of the hardest days in the restaurant industry. I wish people like Lupe could get more recognition. We will be back!!!! read more

This was my first time eating at Teresa's. The food was excellent. I had the Pollo Azteca... grilled chicken with cactus and onion. Very large portions and very tasty! Left feeling stuffed and satisfied. I only have two things that could have been improved upon to make this a five star rating. This place is a dump. Very rude staff, my order was missing a sampler, and the lady on the phone was a pain to deal with. (She kept insisting se put it in the bag.) When we went to pick up the missing food, the employee said: "I'll give it to you, but in the future, you need to check your order before you leave the restaurant." Are you kidding me? This is a great place, food is excellent. I find the service here to far above the other location. Servers have been great, but everyone seems to be waiting on customers in team effort. If you appear to be looking for the waitress anyone that sees will come right over and check on you. I have never been waited on and served so quickly. The other location (which is much closer to us) I have been seated in the far corner and forgotten about a couple times. So now we just drive down to Eagan, I think I am done eating before they other place would even take my order. read more

In 3.5 hours I think we've had the server at our table 6 times...we've asked for water for the table almost every time ...but alas no water ever found its way here. We ordered drinks a couple of times and about every other time we'd actually get one...at least they make sure to bring the drinks you have to pay for. The food was ok, but again without any water to wash the salt it was less than appetizing. Don't bother asking for anything when they bring you the food though (like a hotter salsa) because, the staff smile, nod and just walk away...never to be seen. And to end the night, why not bring boxes for the left overs and then wait another 30 minutes to come back so we could finally ask for the bill.
