Loveee the sushi rolls here so much~ I forgot which one I got but it tasted amazing and their fried tempura dish is amazing as well! Me and my brother also love their yakisoba noodle dish. Service has always been great and they are very attentive :) will definitely be back to try another one of their rolls and their eel nigiri sushi

A small local business in East LA that has decent sushi. We ordered: California roll, Spicy Tuna roll, Crunch roll, and Spider roll. The taste was good and filling. Inside was just the sushi maker and one other worker who was working the register and servicing the guests. Both were nice and greeted us with a smile. The place was pretty busy and it's nice to see this local business is being supported.

I was always curious about this place since I drove by it many times so I decided to give it a try. It did not disappoint, this was probably the best sushi I ever had, it was so yummy and the portions were pretty big too. It was very flavorful. Would recommend coming!

I found this place by lucky chance. The usual teriyaki sushi place close to my work was closed, but I was craving sushi so much so I looked around and it was very close to my work, in a nice little corner. You walk in and immediately feel welcomed. Hostess/server was extremely polite, helpful and nice. My order was done right away and to my liking. I will definitely be coming here more. Rolls were so fresh, and bulgogi entree was made fresh and seriously just the way I like it. It even smelled so delicious, that I knew I'm gonna love the taste. Totally loved it.... Recommend

I LOVE THIS SUSHI RESTAURANT!!!! Everything I've tried is amazing. But my favorite rolls are the baked salmon, crunch crunch and the caterpillar roll. At first I wasn't sure if I should try this restaurant, but once I did absolutely loved it!!!! Will always go here for my sushi!!! And the miso soup is good! Very kind staff and a sushi chef is phenomenal! read more

I'm so blown away by this little place! Honestly, I was here to sell my product, but ended up falling head over heels for theirs! This place is run by the most adorable family - dad at the sushi bar, daughter in front, and mom doing quality control. Got their In-N-Out roll (spicy tuna + seared tuna on top) and it completely exceeded my expectations. Everything was so fresh and flavor/texture was perfect. You can tell that ownership cares about their product and their service. I cannot wait to come back for more! Hopefully they get online for delivery soon! I've had so many bad experiences with theses smaller spots having mediocre food, but I guess I finally found a diamond in the rough... I ordered simple, the chicken teriyaki bento and substituted the Cali roll for a crunch roll, it was amazing... I'm currently battling a cold and the miso was right on time I was feeling icky when I walked in and a little pessimistic but the service and food has completely changed my mood for the better Great job guys!!! 10 stars if I could!!! read more

Food is good made to order , customer service is above and beyond very nice people. Every time I've gone they always greet you with good Hi, Welcome :) I have only had the California roll and my husband gets the beef teriyaki bowl and we must say we are very pleased with the portion and price. I have never seen big California rolls! And they take cash and debit/credit. read more

The place is so cool design and food wise... don't be fooled by that the sign doesn't say teriroll This is a great place to luncheon especially if you are hungry waiting at the Chevrolet service station up the street. Skip all the corporate crap nearby and get some popcorn lobster rolls at Teriroll. Yummy is what the sign says outside by the way and yummy is exactly what they serve! read more

The sushi we ordered was cooked, not raw (Albacore Sushi Roll) wasn't something I've ever had before and not really interested in getting again. Chicken teriyaki bowl was okay, reminded me of the Jack In The Box bowl, but a little better. Customer Service was good and portions were too. Bento Box was really good, really filling and very well portioned! Will definitely come back for that! read more

I like this spot. Sure it may not be super authentic sushi in your book but the taste of their rolls are bomb. My favorite is their salmon -avocado cut roll. All cooked and full of flavors that melt in your mouth. Call your order ahead during lunch time! read more

I can't believe I live around here, passed by it many times and never stopped by. This place is definitely a hidden gem. The outside honestly doesn't look so appealing hence, never stopping by to give it a try. Yelp actually convinced me to give it a try. I walked in, it was very clean and was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. I stood there looking at the menu and not once did I feel pressured to order right away. I ordered the t.n.t special (i believe that's the name) and it was AMAZING! Perfect size perfect flavor. And as I was walking out the nice lady in the register and the guy that made my order say bye. Went during the weekend arpund 1pm. The place was not very busy but seemed clean and open. We ordered a rainbow roll and something with shrimp tempura called a double double. One thing I can say is if you like big sushi rolls those would be the ones to order. Each piece was huge and almost needed to get cut in half before eating. As far as taste goes the double double was flavorful probably due in part to the spicy mayo drizzled on top. The rainbow roll seemed good as well. If it is your first time trying sushi and you don't want to spend too much money then this is a place to check out. I don't know too much about the quality of fish but we didn't get sick so there's that. read more

This place has the BEST Dynamite roll. Just the right amount of Spicy. I called in and preordered mine and specified "NO SESAME SEEDS"! Repeat NO SESAME SEEDS. I just can't eat them. Waited for about 3-5 minutes after paying and got my order and opened the ties bag to find SESAME SEEDS! Ugh! They had to remake it. Another 12-14 minutes I had to wait while it was being remade correctly. It's delicious so I did my best to patient! read more

I've lived in East LA my whole life (35 years) and I've drove past here countless times, I've searched Yelp for "sushi" at least a dozen times. And 2020 brought me here, because lm working from home, was in pajamas and wanted something close by. If Mercury positioning wasn't a thing, I'd have their Albacore Delight roll, everyday. Definitely beats our other neighboring sushi joint in Monterey Park (Kaiba) and my favorite but oh so tiny rolls, sushi Enya in little Tokyo. read more

Probably one of the best (and quickest) places to get sushi and bento in the area. If you're watching your calories you may not want to go with anything spicy and just order the regular chicken. Went in around lunch time while working in the area and boy was I glad I did. From the outside it doesn't present itself as a "Sushi" joint until you walk in. Small yet comfortable. The Sushi chef is right at the counter so you can watch him in action (which I find very entertaining and important). I don't find it to appealing when they hide in the back while making your food, especially fresh, raw food. I like to see the conditions of the utensils, prep table, floor, etc. A very nice waiter took my order, asking if I had been there before, giving me tips on whats most popular and the specials they offer. While talking asking if I'd like some water while waiting. I placed my order and sat down waiting patiently because there were a few orders ahead of mine and only having one chef on hand it took a few minutes. I have no complaints because I was enjoying him pre-pair other orders. Again while waiting the cashier came out asking each customer if they were thirsty and would we like some water. That to me shows respect for the customers waiting for their food. I ordered a Hawaiian Avocado roll to go. While bagging my order the cashier offered any types of extra sauces to along with my roll. He suggested extra spicy Mayo so I said Yes. The roll was a great portion, plenty of ingredients not just a pound of rice, 2" of sea weed, and a dab of everything else. Every bite had equal portions, fresh, and well prepared. I especially liked the Spicy Mayo. I will be returning to this place with my family soon for a surprise lunch. Great job guys. read more

I love this place! The sushi is great! I love coming here especially if I'm coming home from work and I want good quality sushi without the whole dine in experience. I usually call in my order and pick it up and eat at home. The customer service is great. It might take a bit longer to receive your food but it's worth it. This is definitely one of the better restaurants in the 90022 area code. The sushi Rolls are quite good. It is VERY hard to get decent food in East LA. I have gone to many places that had 4 and 5 stars and the food was really not good. Teriroll is quality Japanese food for the location. It is the only place I can go in this neighborhood where the food is actually GOOD! I am so glad they are here. read more

Still thinking about this place..and I had them during lunch:) got the TNT roll and the flavor and texture was on point. I mean that shrimp tempura with masago was the perfect icing on the cake. My friend got the Hawaiian avocado and that also didnt disappoint.. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy more of the dishes but we had to go but overall friendly service and awesome tasting sushi. If I'm ever in the area I'll sure stop by again. read more

Legit sushi in East LA. You order at the counter, and you are sitting in what looks like an old fast food joint, but this place is for real. No alcohol, but you are not there for that. I'm a pompous 40 something from the Bay Area, and I endorse this place, so take it with a grain of salt. Also, stay away from the cold green tea, it's looks and tastes like an algae infested pond. read more

Delightfully understated atmosphere with unique tiles throughout the decor, and we loved that we could hear each other talk and enjoy each other's company. Our server was amazing, she was so knowledgeable while being personable and extremely funny. I assume she's the cook's wife based on the other reviews - I arrived a little after my aunts, so I didn't get a full introduction since they had already secured a table and had ordered some drinks while looking over the menu. I had my eye on 3 different meat dishes - the Roasted Duck Breast, the New Zealand Lamb, and the Angus Beef Ribeye Steak - and my aunts also had each picked 1 of those, so we went family style, and it did not disappoint!! The chef knows how to cook each type of meat to perfection, and the searing pans are doing exactly what they need to be doing! The Roast Duck Breast was AMAZING as cooked to the recommended medium, with delicious crispy skin. The Angus Beef Ribeye Steak at medium rare was as tasty as it was gorgeous! And the New Zealand Lamb was PERFECTION, down to the bone. We also got the gourmet macaroni and cheese as an add-on side, since all the meals come with mashed potatoes and various veggies, and I was in heaven! As someone who used to work at the Disney Parks and frequented the steakhouses and other fine dining both here and in Orlando, Sage Bistro is giving Disney a run for its money when it comes to high-quality meat dishes! The prices reflect both the cut of the meats and the skill of preparation, with it averaging to about $50 each across the 3 of us, which is pretty reasonable for top-tier quality! The only thing I had to be careful about was that many of the dishes have mushrooms, and my throat gets itchy if I eat most mushrooms, so I had to avoid those dishes. During our meal, when I mentioned it to our server for future visits, she was great at noting which dishes could completely be modified to have no mushrooms while also being realistic about acknowledging the dishes that cannot be, which sadly includes the Braised Short Rib that sounds out of this world. But I can have the Beef Rib Soup, so I definitely want to try that next because I WILL BE BACK!!! They also offer takeaway, and were very generous in giving us each a coupon card to use for ordering through their website.

That's right, I made an account just to write a review. This place is definitely a hole in the wall, a hidden gem , so what I'm trying to say is that its amazing. The outside isn't really that appealing but once you go inside it's really clean and the ambience is nice and friendly. I heard about this place from my mom, who is a huge sushi lover. This is definitely going to be my go to place for sushi and teriyaki. The first time I came I decided to order the crunch crunch and picante roll. Crunch roll was DELICIOUS, really recommend for sushi beginners. The picante roll was a bit spicy, hence it's name, really good. The service was great as well, was welcomed nicely and farewelled happily. Good food Good prices Good service I mean..that pretty much sums it up. LOVE IT. Definitely coming back. read more

This is literally my 5th time here and everytime I come the food is just phenomenal. REASONS WHY THIS PLACE IS THE BOMB: 1)The service is as amazing as it gets. 2)The quality of the food is so fresh and ugghhh delicious. Whenever I come here I try to taste different type of rolls (for they have many options) and as expected ALL TASTY. My top 3 rolls are crunch crunch, double double anddd the butterfly roll, which is just lovely in presentation and its super scrumptious. I also got the Hawaiian avocado rolls and the eel/salmon rolls (sorry forgot the name) both were delicious. Hawaiian avocado rolls were my favorite though and I highly recommend. That place is filthy flies everywhere. The entire place looks dirty and disgusting. Even my 8 year old said he would never come back.
