They packed my order to-go but I sat down to eat. I ordered the Baja California Salmon Roll & a Red Bull roll. I enjoyed both but the Red Bull Roll was so good. It had a nice spiciness to it. I will definitely order it again for take-out. Overall I'm giving a rating of 3 because I'm big on customer service experience. This place is amazing! I recently rated another "takeout" sushi place and it only got three stars. This one has everything that you would expect from a high quality cost effective fast sushi/ Asian fusion restaurant. They get five stars because you get what you expect! High quality food at a reasonable price because you don't have the fancy dine in environment that you pay for at other places. You pick two bento box with so many options including sushi and teriyaki and you get soup, salad, and rice all for 12.99! The specialty rolls are also very reasonable with the most expensive costing 9.95. This place is really is great and I plan on making more stops here in the future. I don't even really want to give it one. But I know in the restaurant business it can be hard. That being said the service was amazing except for the cashier that lied to me. They have listed crab on their menu in no way shape or form do they let you know it is imitation. Imitation of cod fish and Pollock fish. If I wanted that I would've asked for that that lady told me crab so assuming I was getting crab because that's what I ordered that is not what I got when I called to ask her about it she hung up on meAnd then the manager proceeded to tell me when I called back that this is how they run their business. I have been a server in this area since 2000 probably before then but we're not gonna get into that. I still am in the service industry right here in the area and I work hard every day busting my butt and one thing I will not do is lie to a customer about ingredient in the food. With people having allergies to certain foods you think that they would be on top of something like that. The last restaurant chain that tried to pass off imitation seafood got in trouble for it. This restaurant is no different. He tried to tell me that's how all sushi restaurants do it. No they actually have listed normally if it's imitation or not.Unless they truly do not care about their customers and they only care about the money. My meal was $15 and it's not worth it I don't even wanna it. They would never have been a problem head they told me the truth from the get go I do not like liars and I do not like false advertising and companies thinking that they can get one over on their clients read more

We visited Teriyaki and sushi for the first time yesterday. Based on the decor, saki bar ,and sushi I'm going to go out on a limb and say the was Japanese. Its located in the corner of the food lion strip mall on the corner of Genito and Charter Colony. The lunch menu was pretty straight forward. Bento boxes with either sushi or teriyaki. I ordered the A3 Spicy chicken ($6.99) based on the counter persons recommendation. It was a little difficult based on her limited english or possibly shyness. I feel that I had less trouble communicating during the week I spent in Japan. The lunch special included a salad, and miso soup or a drink. The food a little while to come out considering it was lunch but I was glad since it meant my food was freshly prepared. We also ordered a spring roll (rice paper cold roll). Tasted fresh and was enjoying it until I reached the imitation crab meat. Which I'm not a fan of.. especially cold.. Sauce was good. The spicy chicken portion was easily enough for two and had a good flavor. We really enjoyed the miso soup. I loved that they had a self serve cucumber water dispenser. Very nice touch.. We went there last night and were pleasantly surprised with the good quality sushi. This is what we ordered: - Teriyaki steak: shaved steak over rice with teriyaki and it was amazing. Decent steak for the price. Served with a side salad with great ginger dressing -Teriyaki shrimp: shrimp were small which worried me but they taste fresh and perfectly cooked -Spicy Shrimp Tempura Crunch Roll and the Spicy Shrimp Roll: both were the spiciest I've found in the are, very fresh and flavorful. Wake up Midlothian, VA (and Richmond - YES it's travel worthy) because Teriyaki Sushi is by far the best Sushi in Richmond let alone Midlothian! I have traveled and eaten in some very famous sushi places and I can tell you this place is the real deal! I really did not expect it in a location like this but WOW! Ok so why? Everything was fresh and on point. I had the following: Dragon Roll with Fresh Tuna and avacado - the tuna was fresh! Most sushi places in RVA chop up and combine the tuna with spice to cover up how old it's become. Also the most simple roll, California Roll, is superb! It isn't just an old stale krab stick stuck in it and tasteless! At Teriyaki Sushi their California roll, something I never really order but do as a way of measurement at a new place for me, was very fresh and is a crab salad that is very tasty and not overly sauced. To top it off I had their Shrimp Tempura roll which also was very fresh and vibrant but slightly too sweet, but not to the point where I won't order it again because again, it was excellent! Everything was great! Bottom-line: where ever you are in RVA or not, get here! This place deserves a first try by everyone because it's your loss if you don't! And you won't be disappointed! Not great, but not bad. The macaroni salad was also OK. The spicy tuna rolls were good; I have to admit that I'm kind of a sushi snob, so other people may rave about them. I just say "They're good". The salmon teriyaki was very good - good texture, the sauce wasn't overpowering, good flavor. The miso soup was tasty. I didn't get a review of the Dragon Roll from the boss, but considering he snapped it up and was licking his fingers afterwards I have to assume it was pretty good. I have lived in the nearby apartments for almost a year now and always see this place so I finally checked it out. Walking in it's really small which I wasn't expecting. I also thought it would be a sit down restaurant but it's not, which is fine. I got the avocado salad which is incredible 10/10. I got the gyoza chicken dumplings as well and I was expecting them to be steamed, not fried, but they were still good. I work in the restaurant industry so I feel too bad sending something back when I really should've asked first. Overall I really enjoyed everything and the staff is friendly. While I sat in here eating my Spicy Tuna Roll and House Salad at a small table facing the back, I witnessed the (who I believe to be) owner use the restroom and come out without washing her hands. This was evident by the fresh flush sound a toilet makes (not one that just takes forever), and the door swinging open and immediately returning to her iPad. I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt, and she certainly could have washed, but my uncertainty has left me unable to return.
