The staff is so friendly. Complimentary lemon water and hot jasmine tea is such a nice touch. They prepared my food perfectly after told them allergens and it was supper delicious as had a slight smoke flavor. Only thing was it was a little heavy on the salt and had to drink water for hours to balance out. Definitely we will go back as the food is enough for multiple meals and really good. This restaurant is spotless, well lit, and the staff is really friendly and helpful. We ordered tempura vegetables, chicken fried rice, and katsu chicken to share between my wife and I. The tempura veggies were very good (I was a little sad there was no broccoli) and the sauce was tasty. The katsu chicken was cooked to perfection and the katsu sauce was on point, not too sweet which is a problem at other restaurants. The chicken fried was the star in my opinion, not overly seasoned, loaded with chicken and veggies, and a fried egg on top. The fried rice also weighed at least 3 pounds. We have enough for lunch and dinner tomorrow. We will definitely be back soon. read more

So many vegetarian options, loved that they had several dedicated tofu dishes. We got the sweet and sour tofu, veggie chow mein, and it was incredible! If I had to squeeze out one or two complaints. It was that the sweet and sour sauce was bright red (aka filled with artificial food dye.) I would have preferred more natural coloring. Also, they didn't have a kids meal option either tofu which was a bummer and wouldn't allow us to substitute the chicken for tofu in the kids meal. Why not? Tofu is cheaper than chicken. But overall, the food was great. We will def be going back again. read more

The food is DELICIOUS! I ordered the Egg Soup which was seriously the best I've ever had. It was egg drop soup but they added carrots, onion, celery, so it had great depth of flavor and would remind you of chicken noodle. I was blown away by how good it was. The chicken teriyaki was very good, not too sweet, not oversaturated in sauce, and delivered that charred (not burnt!) taste and tender pieces. The chow mein was also good, a bit vinegar-y/sour which was unusual to me, but not in a bad or acidic way and I still found it yummy. Very clean, small and open dining room, easy to order and read the menu. I was greeted right away and staff were friendly and professional. I live in Port Orchard but will definitely be making the drive up to Silverdale if not just for the soup alone. 10/10 recommend! read more

It's been years since I've been in since somewhere along the line it changed. Whoever owns it now has it more on track than ever. Super clean with fun Studio Ghibli /Miyazaki art on the walls. I got the chicken breast teriyaki and it was the best I've ever had. My husband had the chicken fried rice. The portions are huge. We both had to take some home. The dressing is amazing and the lettuce is seriously the best quality of any place in town (IMO). First thing when I come through the door, the cashier welcomes me to the restaurant with open arms. This man is very friendly and has great customer service for sure! I look through the menu and decide to order the combo chicken teriyaki with the chicken katsu. After ordering, the cashier tells me that the tea and soup is on the house! Sweet! The soup was an egg drop soup with some carrots, onions, and pepper. It was really good and hot! I end up getting just the water this time around. After only a few minutes, my order is brought to my table; it came with a salad, the sauce for the katsu, and the main dish. The chicken katsu was nice and crunchy and went well with the sauce on the side! The chicken teriyaki was grilled with that delicious teriyakI sauce! I ordered their Eel nigiri and their short ribs, their cashier was friendly enough and was able to help me narrow my order quickly (I was a little indecisive). The eel was great, it looked very presentable had more than enough wasabi if you wanted it and tasted great. On the other hand there is the short ribs is a struggglee to chew through, the flavor and taste makes up for a portion of it, but oh my god my teeth are aching, if the short ribs was cut into smaller pieces to help a little bit, I might have given them 4 stars, if It was easier to chew I would have definitely given them 5 stars, but the short ribs made up over 75% of the order and I would rather get something else. My teeth still ache as I write this review and I have not even eaten a third of my meal. The highlight for me was the sauce on the teriyaki. I have never had such a rich and tasty sauce like this before. The studio ghibli themed walls are very pleasing and comforting to look at. The service was also very great as both of the waitress ladies were sweet and even recommended me options. Great staff, very good food. I was guided to the tofu/vegetable dish on my first visit and was completely satisfied. Lots of different kinds of vegetables, all cooked correctly, and the tofu had the perfect combo of crispy outside and silky interior - and tasted great. The abundant serving afforded a second lunch at home later in the week. More recently I've tasted garlic-honey chicken and salmon teriyaki. Both very good. Every now and then, a Korean flavor detail sneaks out and really adds some zing to the meal. Great spot for a quick lunch eaten in and probably terrific for a take-out dinner. read more

The gluey mushy grain rice was used and the filling had absolutely zero flavor. I see other reviews have said the CA rolls were good so I am not sure what happened.
