Just ok. I'm spoiled by teriyaki from across the water and was craving some spicy chicken teriyaki. Flavor was good, chicken could've used more char, more onion/jalapeno. Portion of chicken seemed pretty light. I picked up some beef teriyaki from Chungs for someone else and they're price was comparable yet their portion was much more generous. Service was quick and friendly. Not sure about any of the other items, but I probably wouldn't get spicy chicken again. read more

Had a rehearsal out in the sticks of "Kingston"; I had to eat prior, but where I originally planned to go was closed for some reason...I had to get something that wasn't absolutely unhealthy (like generic fast food). I decided on Teriyaki, and after checking the Yelp app...this was the closest. Ended up getting the pork Yakisoba, and a side of gyoza. Waited a bit long for the food (20 minutes) but considering the worker was alone, more than willing to give credit. My meal ended up costing $34, counting the bottle of Diet Dr Pepper. Just going to say ambience in this case doesn't count because due to the amount of time cooking, ended up changing my order to go. I know - how was the food...right? Well, the good news: the food was good. The bad news: IMO, kind of a rip. My local place near my home (Bremerton), it would've been $19. Also, would've been quicker. So had it been that price, would've been a solid 4, but it wasn't worth the $34. I'd recommend it if you need good food and cash isn't a concern. read more

Don't come here if you're on a road trip. We called ahead and even though nobody answered, still stopped by since we'd been driving for a while and were hungry. We came in during operating hours, door fully unlocked, but when we tried to order, the employee working told us they were closed. So we asked if we could use the restroom, since we had the intention to purchase and were fully within operating hours and had been driving for a couple hours, and were told no. The bathrooms were also "closed". If you're on a road trip, find a spot where the employees work during the posted hours so you don't get off the road for no reason. I LOVE this place. Portions are very generous. I love the chicken teriyaki I get sauces on the side , my personal preference, food is delicious. I've tried noodles , chicken katzu, beef. Bottomline in Poulsbo they're the best. Food is prepared as ordered so prepare to wait 5-10 min. Which is not bad, great time . Rice has always been great. Wok Teriyaki has great Teriyaki and Chinese food! I often travel Highway 3 between Seattle and Port Angeles, and Wok Teriyaki is our favorite place to stop for lunch (and it's a great halfway point to stretch our legs in Poulsbo). They have all the tasty food you could expect from a teriyaki restaurant, with some Chinese restaurant favorites thrown in. I really like the teriyaki chicken, katsu chicken, orange chicken, and fried rice. They do charge $3 extra to substitute fried rice instead of white rice in your meal. That combined with the bottled sodas, that cost about $2 each, can make for a pricey lunch. But the portions are big and my wife and I can share a combo plate with fried rice, and a soda for about $17. Not bad for the two of us. They do offer free soups a few days a week and free tea everyday which is nice! I think they are closed on the weekends though, which is a bummer. read more

New owners? This place may have recently changed hands. We used to love it, but were not too impressed when we went in for takeout last week. The guy working at the counter was not too friendly, their prices have all jumped like $3 or $4 per plate, and the protein portion of everything that we ordered was lacking. Sad. Love, love, LOVE this place! Generous portions and tasty teriyaki! My husband's favorite is the General Tsao Chicken, while mine is the Spicy Chicken Teriyaki. Perfect amount of spicyness and not overly drenched in teriyaki sauce, unlike other places. The first time I went here, I LOL'd when I looked at the menu and the picture for the gyoza had a big label across it that read "Yes, it's pot stickers." xD Best part is I've never waited more than 10 minutes for our food and there is a complimentary self-serve miso soup corner while you wait. This is not a fancy place and the menu is pretty limited--however, what they do, they do well. The teriyaki chicken is excellent, the yakisoba is quite good as are the gyoza. The salad dressing is good, too, though I request on side as it tends to drown the lettuce. The prices are reasonable and they have free soup, tea, and fortune cookies. I wish they didn't serve everything in styrofoam--even the eat here and cups for water are styrofoam:( The other options look good when people are eating, but we don't typically get them and I think they are mostly fried.) read more

First time checking this place out and I loved it! Easy and convenient location right off the freeway, building is nice and the interior is clean and inviting. The young lady at the front counter was really sweet and eager take care of her customers. The food portions were really nice, and it was out in a timely manner and was well prepared. I got the General Tso's Chicken, which is probably the best that I've ever had (and I really like my General's chicken)! The chicken had a really great crispy texture, even under the heavy sauce, and the flavor profile was really good as well! The egg rolls were nice and fresh, also with a great crispy exterior. My wife got the Chicken Katsu, which was a first for her; I tried it and thought it was slightly on the dry side on the exterior, but was still nice and juicy inside the meat. I could wish for some stronger tea, as it appeared to not have been steeped for very long, as well as some bamboo chop sticks, rather than the cheap pine ones that are always so dry in the mouth. However, compared to the rest of the experience, these are very minor complaints and will certainly not stop me from quickly becoming a regular customer! read more

My Thai wife and I have been eating at Poulsbo's Wok Teriyaki for more than a year now. Food is uniformly excellent, has an extensive array of "Asian" choices, and service is fast and uniformly outstanding. Owner is a delightful Korean lady named "Que", who is always warm, cordial, friendly and patient. During the [short] wait for your order, you can have free miso soup or VERY tastey egg-flower soup (that's offered several days per week). And of course, every order includes free fortune cookies. It's in a small strip-mall, so it's nothing fancy. But everything is always somewhere between clean and immaculate, notably including the bathrooms. Very nearby parking has never been a problem. One [very!] unusual policy: They are next-door to a Subway, and explicitly allow customers to bring food in from elsewhere! The reason? Sometimes kids "demand" Subway "stuff" while the parents prefer Que's cuisine. read more

I live in Seattle but work 2-3 days per week over here in Poulsbo. I was so thrilled to find Wok Teriyaki close by. I usually only order chicken and shrimp dishes and they are consistently tasty with generous portions. If you like a little kick on your teriyaki, ask for some of the special house spicy sauce - I think it's made with a mixture of soy sauce and Sriracha, but it adds a great zing to an already-tasty meal. The service is fantastic. I usually call in my order and have never gotten anything but a happy, friendly voice on the other side, thanking me for my order. I've tried other spots in the Poulsbo/Bainbrige/Silverdale area, but this one is by far my favorite. What a friendly place! The kind of joint you don't find often anymore. The staff is fast and very friendly, very welcoming. They have free soup and hot tea in a little self-serve station by the register, and they encourage you to make use of it. There's also a sign reading this place is family friendly, so outside food is welcomed (for picky kids, maybe?). That kind of impressed me. The menu is basically pictures and prices, so you know exactly what you're getting. Except that the pictures are misleading.... the food they serve you in those styrofoam boxes would never fit on the plate in the picture. The portions are very generous. You'd have to have a very very big appetite to finish any entree in one serving. (Believe me, I tried.) The ambiance/seating is standard quick-dine restaurant. There are tables in a few rows and if you speak loudly anyone else in the restaurant can hear you. But the seats were comfortable and every table had vinegar, teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, and sriracha. You do have to ask for chopsticks though - they assume you want a plastic fork. Prices were almost all under $10 a plate/box and many come with a side salad. Totally reasonable for the amount of food you get. And they make it fast. Really fast. I'll definitely return. read more

Yummy take out Korean BBQ with a seating area. Their name is Wok Teriyaki but they really are more like Korean BBQ! It is pretty tasty! The sign says they are family friendly and the sign also says you are welcome to bring in outside food. I'm changing it to 5 stars because of their friendliness! This is the best teriyaki I've ever had on the Penninsula and some of the best I've ever had period. As a genre it seems that teriyaki restaurants in the greater Puget Sound basin have taken cues from the more general fast-food-ish market in that portions are shtinking or prices skyrocketing, service and quality are spotty at best, and in general the value one gets is plummeting. Not so this place. IMO this is top-notch take out teriyaki! The place is classic lunch-crowd teriyaki... Sparse, a few decorations, not much for ambience, etc. But whatever lack there is in ambience/decor blah blah, it more than makes up for with SERVICE (with a smile and a really upbeat/pleasant attitude!), quality, quantity, and just plain goodness and tastiness! What more does one need!?!?! And on Fridays at least when you walk in you get a cup of free hot soup, and man is it tasty! I always add a tablespoon of the hot pepper sauce as well, clears the sinuses! Highly recommended! read more

I had the shrimp teriyaki. It comes with white rice. I'm not a big fan of that but the shrimp and veggies were good. They also offered complimentary tea, water and egg drop soup. The soup looked yummy but it had chicken in it so I had to pass. Customer service was also great. read more

I still remember the first time I ever went to Wok's Teriyaki, when it first opened it was just named "Teriyaki" ... that's it. I was a little scared to try the place out due to the location its in located in a very white Poulsbo area and thought, oh man here goes some chicken with sugar sauce on top but man this place blew me away. Right when you walk in the door, you are greeted by the friendliest Korean lady who is hard to understand but you know she is hard working. I've actually had a chance to speak to her and she commutes everyday from Mukilteo to help make the best teriyaki joint on the other side of the water. While the menu may be on average $1 more then other teriyaki places, it's definitely worth the dollar for the quality of food and the amount of food you get. I don't know about you but when I go to a teriyaki restaurant, quantity is more important to me then quality but this place was different. The quality of the food was just superb and the quantity was just right. And to make things even better, you pay one more dollar and get almost double the meat!! So what makes this place different from the rest of the teriyaki joints around here? First off, the meat isn't swimming in the sauce. You can tell the meat had been marinated for a while before actually cooking but the little bit they add is just right for the rice. Second, they seriously have the best beef teriyaki I've ever had. Some places make their beef either too stringy or some times even charred. This place has always had it done just right. But what makes this place different from the rest is the enthusiasm the "wok" lady shows to each customer. She truly cares about the food and work she provides and will ensure that you have a pleasant time. Check this place out you won't be disappointed!! And if it's your first time there, I'd go with the Chicken and Beef combo to be able to compare to other teriyaki restaurants. Oh and one other thing, their hot sauce is perfect... its her homemade recipe and is just the perfect combination of sweet and spicy!! If you like spicy make sure you ask for her hot sauce!!
