I ordered the chicken teriyaki. It tasted fresh and I have no complaints. They do give a generous portion of rice with maybe a fourth or fifth of the dish being chicken. After passing by many times I recently got a chance to try a plate from here and I was satisfied. It's extremely similar to a Japanese restaurant in the coral square mall. Nearly identical menu, prices and quality. Specializing in most-things-teriyaki, shrimp chicken or veggies, they also have some sushi which was fair priced, egg and spring rolls, and a combo aka "bento box". Overall I was pleased. Customer service was fantastic. As I was deciding they were doing a great job explaining to me what their specials were. The place smelled and looked clean. Overall it's a good value, but a little boring with flavor. The chicken isn't trimmed how I normally would, so every 5 or 10 bites you should expect a small piece of less-desirable texture. I would write a better review but I need to address this.... My mother wanted to eat some Chinese last night. We came to Teriyaki Express and WE Specifically asked told them that my mother had to have Gluten-Free Entree's( Cealiac's Disease ). The Chef stated that they do not use Flour. They used Corn Starch. I asked if the Soy Sauce and Teriyaki Sauce was Gluten Free and we were told that it was. 45minutes after getting home with the hot meals, I had to rush my mother to the hospital because the Soy Sauce and Teriyaki Sauce had Gluten and my mother was in the Hospital Overnight. I am glad my mother is ok but the Chef needs to address and to make sure he knows what he is serving to his guests that might have a allergic reaction issue. read more

I asked my husband to get takeout sushi from here. He came home with 6 pretty basic but yummy rolls. They have a special for $26.99 for 5 rolls. It turned out to be about 50 pieces. The shrimp tempura roll was my favorite but they were all good, especially for a casual takeout dinner. New customer today as of 05/18/17 at 14:39:49. Horrible attitude today from employee. Tall guy making sushi rolls had a really bad attitude when he made the food incorrectly. After advising him that he put spicy mayo all over the wrong plate, he stated "what do you want me to do?" Employee stated he can't do anything about that. Employee started slamming the fridge doors behind the counter. Our meal came our to just over $29.00. After he refused to remake the food he made a big deal out of his mistake. Next he stated he cannot return the food "We Don't Do That" at the same time snatching too plates back from us. Manager happen to walk in and processed the return he than yelled "Get Out" slamming doors. The manager stated "he's having a bad day we're have restaurant and family issues" I stated "well he shouldn't be at work" he proceeded to yell while she's trying to calm him down. He walked from behind the counter and snatched out drinks off the table and yelled "Get Out Of Here" as we're talking to the manager. The management kept apologizing to us and standing in between us as if he was going to attack us. She walked us outside trying to explain how their having issues.
