Update 5/14/23 It's been quite a while since I've been in here so I came in expecting everything to be good but I was wrong. If you look at the shredded chicken pic I got another order of that so they had to remake it but the worst part of this trip is the cleanliness of the place. I sit in the back and the bathrooms stunk horribly and could be smelled by the soda machine it smelled like a dive bar the floor was sticky and so was my table. You can tell cleaning isn't a priority here and so doesn't make me want to see the kitchen.

This spot is perfect for anything from a casual lunch with coworkers or clients to dinner with family, friends, or even a date night. It's a clean, cozy hole-in-the-wall that consistently delivers a great meal. I've tried several items on the menu, and my favorites are the gyoza (potstickers), pork egg rolls, beef ramen, and the Super Bowl (beef & chicken with veggies over rice). Everything is flavorful, fresh, and hits the spot every time. One thing to know: you order before you sit down. There's a TV menu on the right when you walk in, along with daily specials on a chalkboard. Just order, pay, grab a seat, and enjoy. With the unpredictable April weather, this is the perfect place to warm up with a bowl of ramen whether you like it spicy or mild. The family that runs this place is incredibly friendly, patient, and always willing to help if it's your first time. Their customer service is top-tier. Definitely a go-to spot for ramen and Asian cuisine cravings!

I got to (re)appreciate this business that's in my direct neighborhood today…read more I don't quite recall when the last time was when I utilized this restaurant. I wanted something super quick and yet something of quality (as I was headed my way to my side hustle later in the afternoon.) Asuka Ramen and Poke, all of a sudden, hit me with a thought, "It's been a while since I last used them for a good poke bowl." In a way, it was an opportunity for me to appreciate it for the first time in a while so I did just that. They use a deep (large) bowl for the Build Your Own poke bowl (this is the only size) for to-go. When I asked for "half and half" for the base (white rice and greens), the young man behind the ordering counter generously pressed the white sushi rice into it. He then placed some green leaves on one side of it. "Looking good" I thought. For the protein, I chose salmon, tuna and yellowtail. For the rest (such as sauce etc.) I don't quite remember what I got me and yet, this young man sure wasn't anything close to "stingy" (lol)! As to show his appreciation for my business, he built my bowl with precision and generosity. I like the fact that they have one size for to-go poke bowl (this simplifies the process on their end and our end.) At the flat rate of $16 (unless you get additional protein which is $3) is also reasonable for the size. I got the impression that this is a business that they simply don't operate for profit; they operate for the social responsibility's sake. And of course, this above-and-beyond young man didn't fail to forget to ask me if I would need utensils or drink. He gave me everything I would need. Once I got to my job site, I parked my car in the parking lot and started devouring my beautifully tailored (to my preferences) bowl. The fresh ingredients, the way it was built, and the overall volume of it, it was impossible for me to find a single reason why this was one of the best poke bowls I've had in the recent few months. That was when I came to appreciate how lucky I am to live just up the street from this tiny and yet mighty poke place. I need to visit this place more going forward.

This place ... Wow!…read more If you get a chance to come to Denver, go out of your way to come here. Absolutely delicious. It's like a portal to Japan. Everything is authentic. The atmosphere, the food, and the staff. Perfect! Everything we ordered was great. The fish neck, tempura, and karage were so good. I don't normally eat fish neck but I couldn't pass this up. Sorry about the picture of karage, my wife started grabbing pieces before I got a chance to take a picture. Moist and flavorful. The dipping sauce that came with it paired well with it. The tempura was lightly fried and the sauce completed that dish. The entree, with so much we ordered I'm shocked we had room for the entrees. My wife fell in love with their yakisoba. She said it brought her back to Japan haha. I had the tongkatsu and beef curry. It really hit the spot. Filling and delicious. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The spot we were at was pretty hot, so they brought a fan for us. Do not just order from here. Come and experience this restaurant. You won't be disappointed.

Despite the high price point, having no soy sauce ramekins, a terrible drink (only ordered a margarita because the other cocktail options are limited), and nonexistent servers- I was just hoping for the food to be correctly brought out and tasty. Nope. Didn't get that either. When they brought the food out, it wasn't what we ordered, and our server vanished. After waiting for a long time, while being very hungry, I ate of one of the pieces of the salmon nigiri (there were 3 of us and only 2 pieces of the correct nigiri- I needed to eat something!). When the server reappeared she was busy on the hibachi side doing something (we were the only table in the entire restaurant), didn't check on us, so I got up to go talk to her about the mix-up. She was VERY confused, but after re-explaining multiple times, she brought us the additional yellowtail nigiri that we originally ordered along with the salmon roll that you can see on the photo I included. After seeing what our (not so cheap) roll looked like, I was pretty much over this place and wanted to just leave. Our bill was high and included the salmon nigiri that we did not order. Once again I had to get up to go talk to the server, and explain the situation despite us having already discussed it. She instantly said, "But you ate it!", and that is what ultimately led to me writing a review rather than just looking ahead and never coming back. At this point, I am arguing with this woman trying to explain that we came to eat a meal, were hungry, couldn't find the server and inevitably ate 1 of 2 pieces of salmon nigiri that we did not order since there were 3 people and only 2 pieces of what we did order. She did not agree with me, so I left it at: we are not paying for the salmon, you can bring me the updated bill. It's rare (for me) to experience a server be so argumentative, and I've never seen sushi so poorly rolled. This place isn't it. I never want to give a business a bad review, but this is unfortunately warranted. Try literally anywhere else as there are multiple other sushi restaurants within 10 minutes of this place.
