My family has been coming here for years & this place keeps getting better & better. Good ambiance, friendly fast service & above all excellent food. Some of the best local sushi hands down.

So as much as I wanted to like this place, I just didn't love it. My parents took my sister and I here after a hard working hot day. I guess they love going to eat here when they are in the area. I'd like to say that I am a sushi connoisseur, just because I have tried different sushi places and sushi is one of the foods I like to eat when I want to splurge. Anyways, I wish I could tell you what I got but Honestly they weren't great especially for the price. I did get an appetizer raw fish selection and the fish just tasted fishy...personally I would not come back as I prefer raw sushi over baked. But my parents baked sushi was really good. So I'd you're looking for a more baked option then fine come here if you're in the shopping center and craving sushi. I will say the waiter was really nice and attentive and maybe the only reason I'm giving it a 3. I

I decided to return within a week to see how my first experience would compare to the second before writing a review. Overall, the food on both visits were good, but on the first visit the waiter forgot to serve the miso soup that was included in the meal. The second time the bento meal was complete. The winter roll that I ordered was very well prepared and tasty. The ambiance in both visits were good. We came just in time before the rush so the wait was minimal and the service was good. Will I dine here again? Yes. Do I recommend this restaurant? Yes.

If you're ever in the simi valley area I would highly highly HIGHLY recommend going here - trust me, your tastebuds will thank you. The service is phenomenal, and the food is absolutely delicious. Quite possibly one of the best experiences I've had at a restaurant.

I asked if the menu was the same, and the host confirmed that it was exactly the same. The bar was HUGE. It had to have seated at least 50 people. I'd say probably about 30 people at the actual bar, and then 20 people on the tables/ high tops on the perimeter of the bar. Our server's name was Christian. He handed us the menus and we realized that it was DineLA. Christian told us that it had just started on Friday. For a drink, I ordered the 6oz Two Squared Sauvignon Blanc, while my partner got the watermelon spritz. Later in the night we also ended up getting a draft beer and and unsweetened ice tea. Then we were ready to order and our server asked us if we wanted to order everything at once, or if we wanted to space it out. We ended up ordering everything at once, but the food came spaced out so I'm not sure if they did that behind the scenes for us, or if it just ended up that way due to the kitchen being backed up. Regardless, the timing worked out well for us because we weren't waiting long at all for the next course once we got done with whatever was being served to us. We ended up ordering the Oysters Sampler. We decided on 4 of each oyster (Grassy Bar, Seaduction, and Chincoteague). Then, off the DineLA menu, we ordered charbroiled oysters, New England Clam Chowder, Blue Eye Trevalla, Fijian Ono, Key Lime Pie, and Flourless Chocolate Cake. My standout for this meal was definitely the Chincoteague oysters. They were perfectly balanced with brine and tasting very crisp and fresh. Now that I think about it, it probably would have been good with some sparkling water. My other highlight was the flourless chocolate cake. To me, it resembled a lava cake without the chocolate in the middle. It was very rich and decadent and paired very well with the cold ice cream. I also really enjoyed the pineapple coleslaw. There were little chunks of pineapple in it that tasted sweet and refreshing. While we didn't plan on going here because of DineLA, I had a lot of fun trying new dishes. We don't often gravitate toward cooked fish (we eat a lot of sushi), so this was a really nice change of pace. I would recommend this restaurant for a nice night out or a date night.

We had plans to dine elsewhere and when we arrived it was a sold out event even though I was never told that when I called earlier in the week that there was going to be a different situation (that is another story for later) So here we were a party of four looking to dine somewhere locally at prime dinner hour and striking out. My wife called MB Grille as we were already heading in that direction and talked to Alice and she allowed us to put our name on the list with the intent of us arriving in 10 minutes. We did arrive on time and the place was packed, we did get seated shortly after we arrived and Riley was our server. What a friendly easy going helpful person she was, answering questions that we had and getting answers for the questions she didn't have. Very attentive checking on us numerous times. We have dined here before and the fish is always fresh and cooked to perfection, Oysters are always good and the cocktails always spot on and refreshing. Big shout out to Riley on this one, great service is just as important as delicious food. And a great hostess such as Alice keeps the incoming customers flowing and happy and feeling welcome. The mall this place is in is a dump. There is a Mexican restaurant next door. I mention this because there is the crab/seafood menu and then there is an extensive Mexican food menu as well. I wonder if they just get the Mexican food from the restaurant next door? I don't know, nothing wrong in that. The tables have a paper "tablecloth" on them with plastic utensils. The reason for this is they don't use plates. They just bring you your seasoned seafood in a double plastic bag, and it is dumped out onto the paper "tablecloth". I saw this happening at the only other occupied table and immediately lost my appetite. My wife, undeterred, ordered some mussels. Ordinarily, we'll also order vegetables with any meal, but the side servings of vegetables are priced like filet mignon. I asked if I ordered the chips & guacamole, did it come with a serving of salsa? Alas, our server said no. What does a tiny amount of salsa cost a restaurant? 50 cents? So, I stuck with a glass of water. I was done. I couldn't bring myself to eat here. My wife ate a few of the mussels, digging them out from the plastic bags with her plastic fork. She said they were "ok" but we paid and departed, after a very poor experience. No pictures because I wasn't in the mood.

It's a massive space with a bunch of tables and nothing else. It's quite simply just odd. As for the food, it's not good. Anyone who says otherwise is lying. Pretty bland and nothing is fresh. It's also outrageously overpriced. Chicken fajitas were meh and they were $27.00. We got shrimp and they were rubbery and came in a plastic bag, which was in a bucket. Weird. Also, no silverware. Only plastic. Just a headscratcher all around. The website says they have happy hour but they didn't have a separate menu. Just two dollars off drinks is what w were told. Probably why it was empty at 5:30. Also weird. They have this huge space and don't seem to have any idea what to do with it. Drinks were the same as the food. Wildly overpriced and the bartender didn't seem to know what they were doing. So, fitting for the overall concept. I was excited about the new bar because we have an office down the street but this looks like a hard pass for me. 5 stars is for the staff because they were great.

But I'm certain this place could take the grossest fish in the world and make it the greatest meal I've ever had. Paired it with a delicious green salad and french fries since it comes with 2 sides. I was so stuffed by the end, if you threw me into the ocean I would probably sink in contentment. Also got the Athenian shrimp pasta, I think I died in heaven and reached second heaven.
