Located on one end of Denver's legendary and beautiful Union Station, this is a good food and libation option. I like that they have booth and bar options, plus they have indoor bench seating within steps of the place. My recent visit luckily had a great server named Maye who made it a great experience. Had some great tempura, a terrific chicken tender plate, and a couple of good local beers. Busy but cool bar inside Union Station with a huge drink offering. We opted to sit inside the bar which appears to be in the former ticketing area. Plenty of cool architectural details and interesting decor to check out. Server came over quickly with menus and water. After reviewing the extensive list I went with the Bear Skin Rug which was Trace, two types of amaro, demerarra and house bitters. Arrived to super friendly staff and were seated immediately. We decided to sit outside since it's a great people-watching spot right at a prime spot in Union Station. Holy cow...the drink menu rocks. TONS of craft beers to choose from and I was excited to find a local milk stout (that I've had before...but it's been a while). My friends all had mixed drinks - the cocktail menu is diverse and extensive as well. The menu is limited, but good for sandwiches and snacks. We had the hummus plate and french fries to share. We had a couple of people with gluten allergies, so they put the pita in a separate bowl for us that partake in gluten and to avoid cross contamination. First time I've ever gotten thrown out of a bar for NOT drinking enough. Went to meet a friend who was finishing a drink before I drove us to dinner. Tried to order a soft drink but bartender told me "That didn't count". I need to order a drink with alcohol or he would "Through me out." Crazy! read more

Next time you happen to take a trip to Denver, there is no reason why you don't follow signs for "Transit Center" to the commuter rail which connects the airport to downtown (Union Station) and all for the whopping price of $9. For one the price is perfection and the experience to come will supersede that. You'll be graced with Snow-capped Rockies on your right and the outskirts as well as downtown Denver, on your left, as you approach your final stop (Union Station). Once you enter the station that's when you be blinded by the lovely lights that float above the external bar. I always sit inside the bar but they also offer external seating with a walk up bar, if you prefer sitting in the hustle and bustle of the terminal. They offer 2 pages worth of Colorado beers, Cocktails, Food, you name it. You can bet money on the fact that if Deviled Eggs are listed I will order those and usually a beer. Service is always fast and they'll let you sample whatever you'd fancy if you're unsure. You absolutely have to fly to Denver, take the rail and end your travels in a seat at this bar. Great drinks, but the tan blonde girl is easily the rudest person I've ever met. She yelled at someone who worked there (Who told me later that she was in training) in front of guests, she kept rolling her eyes when taking orders, and had an overall bad attitude and was really abrupt and rude. She gave her coworkers attitude as well as the guests she was serving. Thankfully, the girl training, I think her name was Mo, or something similar, brushed it off and was nice. I'll update with her name later as I work at the wework by union station and sometimes get a cocktail there. It's inappropriate to yell at coworkers in front of guests and roll your eyes at guests. I just found her so unpleasant it left an otherwise excellent experience into an unpleasant one. read more

This is a late review, spent Derby day downtown. With Covid, the RTD schedule is completely unpredictable and the listed times are usually wrong, so i found myself waiting for over 40 minutes waiting to see my sister and her friend off on the A train at Union Station. While waiting we figured we would get a drink. The Terminal Bat is open to the common area of Union Station, so we walked right up and ordered a drink. The bar tender was very nice and welcoming and patiently waited for our slightly drunk selves to figure out what we wanted. Since it was the Kentucky Derby, I decided to order all of us Mint Julips. They were fucking delicious! While we were sipping our drinks and enjoying the environment, I was browsing their menu and will definitely have to return for food sometime! Overall I would definitely recommend the Terminal Bar for a quick drink if you're waiting for a train or waiting on your group to meet up downtown before hitting the streets. You can grab a drink at the bar on the station side and then go find a place to sit and hangout or go play some shuffle board. We will be back! read more

The interior matches the old train station decor. This place seems to be known for its bar and beers and they serve burgers, salads and appetizers. Most of us had the classic burger... and it was pretty good. The French fries were excellent. Our server was nice and we had plenty of iced tea refills. Including the tip, I believe the four of us was about $75. Not bad. read more

This bar is in Union Station, they have their own space with a bar you can sit at and booths/tables as well as an ordering window after which you can take your drinks around and sit wherever in Union Station. it was loud, buzzing, and an enjoyable environment for a bar. My husband and I sat in the hall and I used the online ordering feature to order a glass of wine. Wine was fine but a bit pricey. To me, that's to be expected especially since many people use the train from the airport so this may be the first place they experience in Denver. On the online menu they had a large beer selection which is great. After ordering a server was supposed to bring me my drink but about 15 minutes had gone by and I was wondering if I was ever going to get it. I just went up to the bar on the inside and explained to the bartender and she was very kind and apologetic which was refreshing. Overall nice experience and great place if you are willing to spend a bit on beverages. read more

This place was terrible. We were sitting at the bar theres four different people somehow serving everyone else. Helping people that arrived after us and treating them like old friends that were clearly travelers as well. Made eye contact several times with servers and still refused to ever serve us. It wasn't until a nice young black man came all the way from across the room to serve us that we got any real service. We ordered the Reubens sandwich which was good but the soup and wings were awful. Both came out room temperature the breading in the wings was soggy. Ironically on the menu it specified they were crispy wings. The tomato soup was garbage and I love tomato soup. I get it everywhere that offers it. Gorgeous decor and a very well made Dirty Martini (a third of which I clumsily spilt and our server was super sweet about getting it cleaned up despite how busy she was). This is one of those bars that genuinely does have something high quality to offer any kind of drinking - a large selection of keg beers, classic and their own creation cocktails and a wine list. I find it odd that so many Americans dock many stars for bars based on their food offerings - I just wouldn't normally order anything more than a snack in a bar unless I knew it specifically set out to be something like a gastro pub and I think it unhelpfully skews ratings downwards for bars with excellent drink selections. Tbh I think the obvious answer to this is bars should really limit their menus! The sweet potato fries here were a very decent snack though. read more

Very good sized sandwich, could be enough to share between two people. The drink, La Vida Roasted...the flavors of tequila and curaçao nicely mixed together. Overall great presentation! Pretty negative experience here. Staff collected my drivers license as collateral to play shuffle board (I wasn't too worried as I trusted they would keep it safe). When I returned to retrieve it an hour later, the staff told me they had "definitely lost it and probably given it away to someone else". Waited another hour for the manager on duty to come out and unapologetically confirm they had given it away but they would "maybe try to find it". Despite multiple calls, only after posting a negative review online a week later did anyone engage with me. Adding a star as they did mail my ID back to me a few weeks later, as well as an apology letter. read more

Great little bar to catch a drink before dinner downtown, or if your flight gets delayed and you've got some time to kill before taking the light rail to the airport. Terminal Bar is a fun place to go and blow off some steam. The drinks are good and stiff and the servers are nice. I've eaten here once and the food was pretty good, but I usually come here with friends for drinks. Like most places, after a certain point in the evening, patrons start getting a bit rude and obnoxious. For some reason Terminal Bar is a beacon for just such folks. And so, I'd recommend leaving before tonight turns into tomorrow. These such patrons will find your booth and plop themselves down in it with you all while trying to begin a conversation. It happens every time. It's very frustrating as we just want to talk amongst each other, but the night always seems to end up exactly like this. As much as I enjoy Terminal Bar, the true gem can be found upstairs at Cooper Lounge. Conveniently tucked away inside Union Station, this was my first pit stop during a recent Denver visit. The service we had was friendly and good, and the food and drinks came out promptly. I enjoyed my Negroni, but thought my Mediterranean chicken pita was *fine* which seemed to be the consensus in our group about the food - that it's something of a mixed bag. The loaded tator tots were actually pretty delicious, though it was like $11-12 and seemed to be a few dollars more than you'd want it to be. In the LoDo area, you could perhaps do worse but definitely can do better. read more

The Terminal Bar continues to be a place we go when we want to get dolled up and celebrate something. The place tends to be packed - especially on the weekends - so you have to know what you're getting yourself in to and expect to possibly wait for a seat to open up. The drinks are a bit pricey, which is to be expected at such a central downtown location, but they do the classics up right and have nice seasonal drinks. What I really go for is the ambiance - I love the low lighting and the leather booths. I also love the buzz of Union Station in general, and this bar carries that well and does the "Art Deco" era bar-feel without being kitschy. The most recent time we went, my date had a gin martini and I had the Autumn Chill. The Autumn Chill was the perfect combination of a bit fruity, a bit gin-y and a bit spicy. And while it's not autumn still, the recent Denver weather sure could fool me. read more
