    Grilled Chicken Kids Meal
    Consuelo R.

We visited Real Seafood Company for dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday, and overall, it was a lovely evening. The restaurant itself is beautiful--bright, modern, and perfect for a special occasion. Parking was easy with nearby public lots and some off-street options as well. We ordered a variety of items: shrimp, fish and chips, Caesar salad, the blackened Atlantic swordfish, and several kids' meals (buttered noodles, mac & cheese, and grilled chicken breast). The bread service was a standout--warm, fresh, and a great way to start the meal. The kids' entrées were a pleasant surprise: generous portions, multiple options, and all were well-received. Highly recommend for families! The blackened swordfish was delicious--well-seasoned, tender, and a definite highlight. Unfortunately, the Caesar salad was a bit watery, and unfortunately the fish and chips were flavorless, a bit too greasy causing the fish to become soggy quickly. I was looking forward to this dish based on previous reviews of it being crispy, flakey and flavorful dish so maybe it was just a hiccup. However the managers attention to detail and willingness to make it right did not go unnoticed! He was very kind! One thing we really appreciated: since it was a birthday dinner, the staff had a card waiting on our table and even brought out a complimentary dessert. Service throughout the night was attentive and friendly. Our server let us know that some dishes are limited in quantity, so it's smart to order early if something catches your eye. We'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu. We enjoyed the overall experience, hospitality, and atmosphere made it a night to remember.

We decided to come before a Broadway GR show. It was a Sunday and they didn't have any open reservations until 6, so we arrived at 4:06 with a hope the wait wouldnt be too long. There was a 45m wait, but open seats at the bar. We put our names in and decided to sit at at the bar to have a few drinks. After sitting down we decided to stay at the bar because the bartender (Lauren I) was really excellent at her job. The beverages were A+ and she was incredibly efficient and kind. The soup came out hot and delicious. Then, the entree. Although my partner was disappointed that they were out of the flounder, he chose the halibut. It was incredibly tender and the risotto was creamy and delicious. I chose the fish and chips. It was so good! I would highly recommend, but would definitely ask for the fries to be extra crispy. I wasn't a huge fan of the Coleslaw, but really the fish was the star of the show. The batter was wonderful and the fish super flaky. Very enjoyable and then it was only a couple minute walk from Devos Performance Hall where the show was. Paired with free weekend meters, I would definitely recommend this before a show.

I came here for dinner before a show at DeVos. I sat at the bar since there was plenty of available seating. The decor is nice and bright. The bar was clean and the server/bartender was attentive. Overall they have decent seafood, but not outstanding. The menu had a good variety, and the portions were fair for the price. I ordered the Baby Kale and Farro Salad with Seared Tuna and it was a little too salty, I am unsure what in the salad was so salty but some bites were almost inedible. The tuna was really good though. It was cooked very well. I also tried some of the she crab soup and it was just okay. I think I was hoping it was a cream based soup like I have tasted at other restaurants in the past. This soup was purely a broth base. It did have a good amount of crab in it for the cup size. It was not a terrible experience but it was not what I was expecting. I do not think I will go out of my way to come back again.

Went for dinner with friends. Loved the feel/vibe of the place. Had a very nice waiter...not the quickest service, but attentive and helpful. I had a green salad - it was good, but I felt way too much dressing. I ordered Bourbon Salmon for dinner with Jasmine rice instead of potatoes, I enjoyed it. My husband got the fish and chips, and his comment was that it was just so, so. The smoked old fashioneds were good, but would have enjoyed a different presentation-drinks were smoked at the bar and poured into glasses at the table. I would go back again if I was in the area...

We visited Real Seafood in Grand Rapids for happy hour. The service was excellent, and the ambiance was inviting. Unfortunately, the drinks were extremely sweet, and the food was over-seasoned -- very salty in particular. On the bright side, the prawns were impressively large.

This food was so good. I had the crabcakes and the scallops at our table and they were both phenomenal. The service was very friendly and fast. We got our food pretty rapidly. And we were seated very rapidly. The restaurant is bright and everything looked wonderful. Don't know how the parking was. We actually walked here from the hotel so we did not park. The building was very easy to find. I would definitely recommend coming back.

The food was delicious our waitress was super nice and very informative my husband has food allergies and she recommended the perfect dish which he love. The decor was beautiful and modern very clean and cozy. We had a window seat perfect.

Great two-story venue for a special occasion. Service was hit/miss, hence the 3 rating. Server provided great guidance on the fresh oyster selection but didn't check back to refill our water glasses even though they were refilling another table nearby. I give more grace to a small family-owned business than an establishment like this where I expect excellent service. Fresh oysters were delicious as was the scallop risotto.Love how large the scallops were. Blackened fish was good but didn't need the sauce and the guacamole on top. Overall, I liked it better than Leo's which I know many who love it there but I'm not a huge fan.

    Eastern halibut

We celebrated our anniversary at Real Seafood Company and had an outstanding experience. The service was friendly, attentive, and genuinely engaging--exactly what you hope for on a special night out. The food was excellent. We started with a selection of fresh oysters, each one briny and beautifully presented. The highlight was the Eastern Halibut--marinated and slow-roasted, served with creamy mushroom risotto and bright touches of orange and radish. Absolutely delicious. We felt well cared for from start to finish. Highly recommend for a special occasion or any night you want great seafood and top-tier service.

    Surf and turf

We didn't start very, they "lost" our reservation and had to fit us in with an hours wait. The food was very good and everyone enjoyed their selections from fresh fish to the deserts. Would we go again, yes but I would reconfirm any reservations.

    Tuna Tostada
    Duey V.

My granddaughter and myself stopped in at the Real Seafood Company. We started off with the tuna tostada, and that was excellent then she got the She Crab Soup and I got a bowl of the clam chowder. I think one of the best parts of the experience here was our waitress Avery, she was just awesome.

Gluten free scallop risotto and Caesar salad.

All entrees were huge. I enjoyed the Chilean sea bass, which was amazing. The halibut, and a few different steaks also received rave reviews. One didn't care for their branzino. Not sure why, as I tasted it and thought it was fine. The waiter, without asking, took it off the bill. We didn't get dessert, as we were stuffed. However, we saw several that looked great. I thought the Ceviche Mixta was ok, though I'm not usually a fan of ceviche, and this was better than most. My least favorite was the Pulpo a la Gallega. While the octopus was tender, it had an unpleasant fishy flavor. I got the Chuletas de Cordero for a main course, and was so happy with the dish. The lamb chops were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. I really liked the chickpea topping. My only quibble was the dried apple slices added nothing to the dish. They had an unpleasant chewy texture, little flavor, and didn't add to the aesthetics. I would order this again in a heartbeat. I ordered the Árbol de Frambuesa, and it was an amazing dessert. The chocolate souffle was thicker and creamier than I expected, but it was so delicious! I don't want to ruin the surpise of this dish by describing how it looked. I would also order this again.
