Standing at the front, the layout of the store felt really open. As we continued to walk around and browse, another staff member greeted us, asked if we were looking for anything in particular, and told us where we could find the clearance section because there were some good items on sale. They did have some cute kitchen items on sale, leftover from Easter and Mother's Day. Separately, I saw a whole section of items with a beautiful orchid design. I ended up getting a large kitchen linen with the orchids on it as a gift. Everything in the store always looks high quality, and I love shopping there!

He helped me sort zero in on the right grill, side burner, under cabinets, etc., offering tips as we went for me to like what I saw or keep moving. Bottom line is that he then discounted everything. No way could I ever get that service online nor would I expect to duplicate that price, free shipping on the exact day (a few weeks out in the future) when I wanted it. But here's the icing on the cake: one of the Blaze stainless steel cabinets arrived with door/drawer handles missing. This was the one in a million sealed box that somehow missed parts at the factory. I called BBQ Island/Tony to explain. I assured them that the box was still in my possession and had been searched many times, and they sent via Fed Ex replacement parts - no charge for parts or shipping - to me. Wow. For all the reasons I've explained above, and because I'm so delighted with everything I purchased and had installed, I give BBQ Island my unconditional endorsement!

To be honest, I never gave much thought to the table linens although always have insisted cloth napkins and a placemat, at minimum. Then I discovered the French table linen from Bleu d'Olive. I never had imagined food could be enhanced simply by using a beautiful table cloth and matching napkins. And I never had believed a tablecloth this beautiful could feel so cloth-like AND actually be a wipe-off polyester... apparently I was stuck imagining my mother's cotton table linens that only came out for the holidays. Bleu d'Olive is a hidden gem tucked away amid antique stalls at the Scottsdale Marketplace. Head into the main entrance and go to your right; it isn't far from the front entrance and you'll suddenly see the splash of colors from the stacks of table linens across from an amazing collection of antique French pottery. I thought the variety at the physical marketplace was amazing (and couldn't leave without my first set) but there is also the website with an even greater selection. When I see this kind of craftsmanship I just assume I'd be paying hundreds of dollars... but these are remarkably inexpensive. The linens are meant for everyday use and there are even more beautiful cotton ones with this high-tech teflon fiber... which makes them stain resistant!. While you are there, pick up a few dishcloths... they'll beat anything you can find anywhere else. And if you want even more color to your kitchen, take a look at the ceramic cicadas... who knew they were a thing?! Her website explains the origins of this brightly painted ceramics. Decided it did not make sense to go home since I already made the trip and used up precious Chevron gas. Went back in. Saw Liz. I guess she could see the look on my friend. She said she could help me whatever it is. Music to my ears. I told her my situation. She asked for my name, found the order in the computer, retrieved it and walked it to my car.
