I ordered and paid for several items on Tuesday for Pickup. I received notification that it was ready. Wednesday, I park in the pick up spot in the lot and accessed the email that said it was ready. The app was apparently not working. Low and below, I see a phone number in front of me in case I need help. I called. The run around. 6 minutes on hold. I go inside. One person in customer service says he didn't know anything about how to get the order. Frustrated, I left. Tried the APP again. No go. Decided it did not make sense to go home since I already made the trip and used up precious Chevron gas. Went back in. Saw Liz. I guess she could see the look on my friend. She said she could help me whatever it is. Music to my ears. I told her my situation. She asked for my name, found the order in the computer, retrieved it and walked it to my car. I am normally at this Home Depot store checking out their plant department. This store always has a great selection of house plants to choose from. I look mainly at the plants they have on sale, and this store seems to have a wide variety of discounted plants that are still in great condition. The gentleman that assisted me at checkout was really helpful and gave me a few tips on how to keep my plants alive. This store is always clean and organized and the employees are very friendly. I got a great deal on my two new plants . Definitely will be back to this to purchase more plants that I don't need. lol! read more

This is, by far, the friendliest Home Depot I've been to... Ever. I was asked multiple times if I needed any help. Usually I have to track someone down and then feel guilty about asking for help. Not here! We came to train my son's service dog and after a really bad experience at a different location I was a little concerned but it was amazing. I would love to give this location my business... In fact, I made a purchase when I normally would get my garden starts elsewhere. They also had a great selection of organic starts. This was the worst possible experience I have ever had with Home Depot and I go there a lot. I went to rent a van and I called ahead of time and they told me I had two hours to come and rent it. I arrived there 10 minutes later and they told me no, they do not rent after 6 o'clock. The staff has no idea what they are doing. The next day I went to rent the van once again, got in And noticed after driving for about five minutes that the tire was low. I had to stop and fill up the tire. I returned the van two minutes late and they charge me an extra half hour. Most terrible customer service. Before that, I rented a upholstery cleaner and it did not work. When I came back, they did not even apologize. This store is horrible. Horrible customer service And the products have not been cleaned nor checked, including the upholstery cleaner and the van. As I walked in Bill (lumber) was very friendly and asked what he could help with. Told him the project I was working on, and he immediately walked with me and helped me find what I needed and cut the pieces to sizes I wanted. Just wow to this Home Depot location! Employees were available to answer questions & help me find what I needed. We just replaced bathroom fixtures & needed round vanity lights. They come in "soft white," "day light," AND "bright white." Seriously?! I really couldn't tell the difference but was advised that "bright white" is optimal for bathrooms. Sounds good to me. We're used to going to a different HD at 36th St & Thomas. There is never ANYONE available to help us & then those who are, have no clue about what HD sells. It is super frustrating. Receiving excellent customer service from friendly, knowledgeable employees is truly a treat! Kudos to the team there. Definitely recommend this location. read more

Employees at this location are generally very nice and store itself has a great selection of items. Only problem I've got is the bathroom smell. Employees cued me in on it being from the cleaner used for the bathrooms, vinegar. Why a Home Depot is using vinegar to clean when they already carry an infinite number of products that actually smell good while cleaning the same as or better than vinegar is lost to me. The vinegar smell almost radiates out of the bathroom area and into the front of the store! A bathroom that is used frequently through out the day should smell good and be clean without irritation of the eyes, chest, airways, etc. that comes with inhaling acetic acid fumes. read more

I am usually happy with Home Depot at my normal Mesa location but I dealt with an obnoxious employee at this location recently. I was in the lightbulb aisle buying LED lights to replace all of the old inefficient bulbs in my parents' house that they just bought. I had a question about a bulb. Rather than getting an answer the rep talked at me with his diatribe about how the government is taking away his rights to inefficient light bulbs. Meanwhile the only reason I was there was to buy efficient LED light bulbs. Not too quick on the uptake are we? He also for some reason dove into his complaint about police not arresting people who don't use their turn signal. I decided to buy the bulbs I had a question about on Amazon. I should have offered him all the inefficient bulbs I was getting rid of. Maybe that'd cool his jets. read more

Abysmal customer service, Tim with the white beard and glasses is a smart arse, asked if they would trim doors over the phone they said absolutely come on down! Showed up and they all looked at me like I was crazy! Asked 3 people individually and all three had never heard of planing and or trimming a door to fit. So I returned the door and notified a manager of the experience and she flat out denied anyone said it and really just displayed the worst de escalation skills. Nothing worse than being confident and ignorant, own up to your mistake don't laugh in your customers face and suggest they are lying. Only saving grace was Rhonda. Huge shout out to Tod in the customer service department and Debbie who was in the smoker/grill department!! They both helped me on Monday 12/16, I came into Home Depot looking to purchase a smoker for my dad for Christmas. I wasn't sure which one to go with and Tod was so kind and hospitable; he helped me pick out a smoker that would be a good start and that also had a great deal. Unfortunately the smokers were wrapped up on a pad high up and needed to be lifted down; they were super short staffed this evening but Debbie was amazing and made it happen for me anyway! We were at the store for the purpose of observation and testing, for The Alliance of Therapy Dogs. While walking around, meeting people and making friends, all went well, but while taking a break our dog Hercules seemed stressed, started to pant and drool. The Store Manager, George, noticed Hercules, talked with him and is, and offered assistance. In short, he was not only a total gentleman,but a concerned pet lover. The man working in customer service today needs training!!!! I called today and after at least 30 he answered and said "please hold". And after holding for over 15 minutes I hung up and called back. Another 20 or so rings he answered and said "please hold" I yelled noooo but he had me on hold again. He came back on the line 5 minutes later. I explained that my son made a purchase and an item...duct tape ...didn't make it home in the bag. The Home Depot employee had a challenging time understanding what I said. I had to repeat myself several times for him to understand. I spoke clearly. He said he would transfer me. Again I sat on hold. A few minutes later he answered and I got out about 4 words and he said please hold. Again I was put on hold. After several more minutes I hung up. I went to ace hardware and bought more duct tape. HANDICAP UNFRIENDLY STORE! With some of the Customer Service Employees being indifferent. Actually it's one particular employee who is guilty of this behavior but gives a bad name to the "Customer Service" department! This store used to have three electric carts, a number that is totally insufficient for a store of this size, and in an upscale town with many senior residents. An employee informed me than one of the carts was stolen, another cart is broken and permanently out of order, and the one operational is beat up, usually weak battery and barely gets out of its own way, or being used. For the last two years I have been engaged in the construction of a house and I frequently visit the Scottsdale - Shea store. No matter how many times I have expressed my dissatisfaction with the electric cart conditions to Customer Service or to regular cashiers / employees nothing has been done. Management seems not to care. It also seems that this store's management has a reputation of being friendly to shoplifters. This good news seems to have spread among those who are morally and ethically challenged! I have personally observed people walking out the entry doors without passing by the cash registers with items they did not pay for, and employees having noticed the situation but taking no action. Downright disgusting if you ask me! For these reasons I give the Home Depot Management of Scottsdale - Shea a failing mark. We stopped at Home Depot last evening after dinner. Just wanted to look around and pick out some items for an upcoming project. We wandered the appliance department for a good 20 minutes. Not once were we approached by an associate to see if we needed assistance or had any questions. Now, going to Home Depot is always an adventure and it can be hard to find assistance, but if you find Kuroush look no further! I went into the store to register my tax exempt they tell me you have to do it with the phone number I called the phone number and they tell me I have to do it with an email. So I called corporate office they said oh we'll get it straightened out for you so another half hour on the phone and they said oh yeah you'll have to submit all this in an email I go I went to Lowe's walked in the store show to my company name and my ID and was done in 5 minutes and you want me to go in on a computer and sit down and download or upload pictures and sign nine pieces of paper and then authenticare who I I'm. I'm a Marine Corps veteran I've been shopping at your store for over 35 years. I go in and try to do one simple thing and I got the biggest run around I've ever had in my entire life. By the way after spending a few hundred thousand dollars at your stores or less 35 plus years from this day forward I'll be shopping exclusively at Lowe's where I have my tax exempt my military and my Pro rewards. Be aware of posted prices on appliances at this store! My husband and I came in today to look at and ultimately purchase a new refrigerator. We inspected the models on the floor and made our choice. We reached out to one of the sales associates. He looked up the info on the fridge and stated that the price on their digital price tag was out of date--some kind of glitch where "they've been having problems with them updating"--and the price was actually $700 more than listed on the unit. We had him reach out to the manager, who stated there was nothing he could do about it. He then said he would take $150 off the now $700 more expensive unit, invalidating his own words that he could not actually do anything. Needless to say we left, and my husband is purchasing it online from Costco as I write this. The real issue is why are all of the sales associates just standing around chatting instead of checking on the digital tags they know have a tendency to be out of date and wrong? As it turned out, this tag was advertising a sale that ENDED ON OCTOBER 19th when today's date is OCTOBER 29th! (You can see the date is listed on the tag in small writing, but in our comparing models, specs, and prices, we missed this small print. I can imagine we are not the only ones to do so...) So, are they lazy, or trying to pull a bait and switch on their customers?? Either way, they lost an over $3000 sale, and we were the ONLY customers even shopping in their department in the middle of this Saturday afternoon. Again, be leery of this store. read more

Avoid on-line orders and special orders as they used multiple antiquated computer systems and pick-up's are difficult and returns are nearly impossible. The systems are so convoluted the staff struggles constantly. Looking up orders for returns is a nightmare and they claim products were not sold there. They don't seem to have their stuff force you into store credit now have multiple ways of giving credit including an on-line credit. The service has been hit or miss. They can't seem to get it right. Refrigerator and ice maker ordered. Waited most of day for delivery. Ice maker delivered wrong. Waited a week for there mistake to be delivered correct. Had to wait another 2 days for them to install. Again, had to wait all day for them to come out. Was installed, and was not checked to see if operational. 3 hours after install....no ice, no water in ice maker. Called back to Home Depot. (It is a Friday at 4pm now and they cannot come to fix their mistake). They will send someone out on Tuesday. Unacceptable. After making each order, (and in the last 3 weeks we have made 3 major purchases) I was informed I would get a call they evening before with a 4 hour window. Not one call received. Took the paint back and told them something was wrong with the paint. The dept head told me I bought the one that needed to be tinted. The product has the exact same packaging appearance, displayed right next to the one I bought previously that didn't need tint. NO WHERE DOES IT DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN THE 2 products. On the website it does not differentiate. I asked that the paint be replaced, the department head agreed to replace it.
