The fish was cooked perfectly, though the pasta could have used a little something extra to elevate it. My husband ordered the scallop and shrimp fra diavolo. He enjoyed it and it satisfied what he was looking for. I can't forget to mention the bread--it was a standout. A large, toasted, crusty loaf that was a treat all on its own. The only downside to our visit were awkward moments when someone we believe was a manager was on speakerphone, seemingly arguing with a staff member. It was a bit distracting and took away from the otherwise pleasant experience. Overall, it was a good experience with some highlights, and I'd be open to giving it another try. The sauce on the side of the steak was herbaceous and tangy which worked well with the steak. The mussels were fairly big, with a nice light white wine sauce. The drinks were strong but balanced, and everything tasted good and was cooked well. I really don't mind paying for quality. Each small plate commanded the price of an entree at any other location. For the main, the paella was -- rich, loaded with seafood (shrimp, scallops, calamari, mussels, clams), and cooked perfectly. Then, although we were on time for our 8:15pm reservation, we found out that they didn't have a table for us on the main floor, which is bad because my parents have mobility issues and cannot climb stairs. The host was very reassuring and he let us know that the corner table near the fireplace was finishing up and he'd get it bussed promptly. So that was good. But after we sat down we experienced service issues. Many items were unavailable. No orrechiete. No crab cakes. No sirloin special. It was weird. We hadn't arrived that late, on a Saturday night, how could so many dishes be sold out/unavailable? We ended up going with the scotch egg $11 and butternut squash arancini balls $12 for appetizers, which were both great. The scotch egg was a decent size and came with a mini salad. The arancini balls were small, but the truffle gorgonzola fontina cheese filling was really nice. Entrees were not bad. My Berkshire pork chop cooked medium was tender enough and had decent flavor. Despite ordering immediately, 45 minutes later my wife's stuffed shrimp had still not arrived. Apparently the ticket had never been put in. After an exchange of words between my wife and the young woman manager, we were told to "get out and never come back". I know it was a soft opening and mistakes with orders happen, but another important aspect of managing is the ability to appease an angry customer. You know, like "We're very sorry for the mix up" or "Can I offer you something while you wait". We will certainly respect our instructions never to return, but it doesn't seem like a good business practice to banish loyal long term customers. Honestly, I question whether that manager has the right temperament for the job.

The hot dogs had that tasty flat top flavor and were on well toasted, buttery rolls. The fries were crispy and plentiful. Service was friendly and the view is great. Since I only had hot dogs I feel like a can't give a full review, but the dogs and overall experience were good enough that we'll definitely (finally) visit more often to give some other things a try.
