Terri's Café is an incredibly friendly place to eat, plus the food is wonderful. This morning I had a vegetarian omelette which was served with delicious baked red potatoes. The manager made homemade chocolate-chip cookies which she served with the meal. Several people in the cafe were talking with others whom they recognized from previous visits. This place is awesome! I haven't encountered friendly like I did last Saturday. From the moment I walked in I felt like family. The menu is fairly consistent with what you would expect from a "deli". That where normal ends and fantastic begins. The burger I had was so fresh. Grilled perfectly. Very flavorful. Ms. Terri suggested their signature vinegar chips. OMG. So tasty. Just as I got started on my burger Ms. Terri's husband comes over to check on me. With him, he brings a complimentary cup of watermelon. As I was thanking them for a wonderfully experience I was given complimentary fresh baked cookies straight out of the oven. Everything is homemade, fresh, and delicious. I got two eggs potatoes sausage and toast . if you get one item here I would recommend the potatoes! I just started working around the corner from this establishment. Upon entering it was such a great feeling because I was greeted right away and I was able to take my time looking at their amazing menu!!!! I got a burger which was delicious and their fries are awesome too. Took about 10 minutes to get my food but as I was waiting the owner/manager gave me a frozen treat as well as a fresh baked cookie! I am in the customer service industry and I felt totally welcomed and recognized as a valued patron which is an amazing feeling. These are the kinds of restaurants we need to support. Sorry to sound religious about it, but I am dismayed by the rise in corporate eating establishments. It's not what we love about restaurants -- a chef-specific flair; owners you know and who treat you like a VIP when you return; genuine care that you and your party enjoyed your meal and your visit. Terri's brings all of this. Now, first, set your expectations properly: this is an ultra casual place catering to the University next door (so paper plates; lots of take-out customers; order at the counter). Terri and her Greek husband (sorry...forgot for forgetting your name, sir) both visited the table several times, making us feel like family on our first visit. They bring a sense of humor along with the free red velvet cookies (hot out of the oven). The food is excellent! We are particularly picky about omelets, so my wife was reticent to order one at Terri's counter. We did and we were thrilled -- perfectly cooked eggs (we don't like browned eggs -- there's a nasty, acidic taste to that...no sign of it at Terri's) AND fresh fruit and veggies. Sausage patties were a hit (not sure if they were store-made or purchased, but def not frozen) as were the potatoes. Drinks are self-serve (juices in bottles in a sliding-door fridge), including coffee. But 5 of us had filling breakfasts for less than $50! (If we had gone to corporate-owned Eggcetera, the bill would've been double). Support Terri's -- they are nice people who put out a great product. So my husband trusting my opinion based on Yelp opinions, followed my directions to a restaurant tucked away in an industrial park. When we pulled up he asked me if I was sure all the reviewers weren't Terri's friends. With slight apprehension we approached the door. It was small, simple, basic cafe. Walls are covered with photos of the Stevenson's sports team:). There was a group from Stevenson there that morning as well. We placed our order at the counter and took a seat. They brought us fresh fruit while we waited:) We ordered omelettes that came with potatoes and toast. The food was delicious and very filling. The owners make sure check on you. I am not sure if you will get fresh fruit added to your meal experience or if it was just our lucky day. But either way you will get delicious, fresh prepared food in generous quantity at a fair price. Terri's Cafe is a great breakfast / lunch spot during the work week for those of us working near Owings Mills Blvd. The food is a great value: sizeable portions and very appropriately priced. I've enjoyed nearly everything I've ever ordered but a favorite is certainly the chili with homemade cornbread. Yum! The owners make a point of getting to know their regulars and treating them well. After days of traveling, I found this hidden gem tucked in the business community of Owings Mills. I ordered the chicken and ham sandwich special with homemade Mac and cheese. I also tried the homemade lemonade. The owner decided to try a French toast style bread for the sandwich and boy was it delicious. The Mac and cheese were a perfect blend making it not too cheesy but still light.. At the end I topped it off with their made to order chocolate chip cookies that were oozing with warm goodness. Ordered terri's panini with a side of tomato bisque. The bread was crispy enough to get a crunch, but not over-toasted where it ripped up my mouth. The butter they added to it made it soft and chewy. The moist chicken breast paired well with their avocado spread. Bacon felt like quality meat, and the provolone brought the final, perfect touch. The bisque is probably one of the best i've ever tasted, and would have dipped my sandwich in it had i not inhaled it beforehand. I had one of her specialty bowls with shrimp It was very tasty with enough to take home for later. My wife has a gyro which she enjoyed as well. Highly recommend for catering a business breakfast/lunch for the office or stopping by with friends. Great prices, healthy options, all dressings etc. are homemade and cooked to order.
