We used Teserra Outdoors for our property landscape and hardscape project at our Palm Springs house. Unfortunately, a few of the plant materials that were planted last year (spring 2024) didn't quite survive the summer. At Teserra's recommendation, we waited until this month (March 2025) to replace the plants (under warranty). Sinc we decided to "upgrade" our original selections, we had to pay the difference in cost which was nominal. We worked with Yoyo (Yoatzin) who was incredibly professional and proactive! The project consisted of the following: 13ft x 34ft pool, with a depth of 3ft on the shallow and 5ft on the deep floor. There is no spa and no heater added to the pool. The demolition began on Oct 21, 2024 and the pool was up and running on Dec 17, 2024. Our main contact at Teserra are Morrie Perry and Moises Ramirez. Many supporting roles were provided by several Teserra employees and subcontractors. They were all very professional in their dealings with us. Was it everything great? No, there was lots of issues I had to personally get involved with. And spent my time trying to get them resolved. It took 7 months to build my pool. Living in the home as all went on. Best if you are away or your house is being built, while the pool is being built. So, you don't stress out about it. I waited over a year to write this review, in case there was a warranty issue. And sure, there was. Actually 2. Reason for 5 stars, is because they simply deserve it. Teserra did a fabulous job from soup to nuts on a very large, wholesale pool remodel. This included planning, drawings, demo of large pool deck and landscape, pebble tec and lighting. Ryon and his team did a great job communicating and he was always available to answer questions as were the superintendent and landscape superintendent. Very good professionalism and accountability all thru my dealings with Teserra. What I liked in particular was the "one stop shop" approach that kept everything in house. This was a landscaping project: We had a really bad experience with this company. High price, awful service. Dead plants, broken irrigation. Lots of promises to fix what they did wrong, but never delivered. We ended up having to hire someone else and pay for our landscaping again. The good reviews seem to be about pools. Maybe they do those well (I don't know), but their landscaping design, installation, and maintenance is atrocious. We would NEVER work with this company, or especially their sales-liar Brock, again. This review is for a remodel of an existing pool. The process was a nightmare . Initially there was a quick response. They came out , looked at what needed to be done, took pictures, measured, etc. Then , they were MIA for weeks. Finally, we got a quote. It was very expensive, as much as 40% more than the other estimates we got. We decided to go with them anyway because overall it looked like they do a good job with pools, and they have been around a long time. The demolition went fairly quickly. Then there were MANY, MANY meetings with job supervisors, more measurements about what was to be done. Once they got started creating forms for the concrete, it became obvious that there was no follow through between management and the actual sub contractors they hired to do the work. It took more site visits, more meetings, many back and forth emails and texts to get it right. It should be noted that through the whole process, emails and texts went unanswered for days at times. This leaves the customer feeling that the company doesn't care once they got the job. Finally they poured the cement. This went well. HOWEVER, they allowed demolition debris and new cement pour debris to accumulate at the bottom of the empty swimming pool. In the end, this debris stained and discolored our pebble tech plaster which was originally in excellent condition. We complained and were told not to worry, that the pool would be acid washed before it was refilled, and that all the marks would be removed. We came home after being away for several days to find the pool refilled , and the pebble tech badly stained and discolored. We complained, and were told ok we'll drain the pool again, and re acid wash it. This was done, and it was still permanently damaged and stained. We also realized they had filled the pool and never sealed the interface between the tile, and the new cement decking. There was literally no oversight, follow through, or attention to detail in this job. Each step of the way, they did something, but ruined something else in the process, but expected us to accept a shoddy result. In the end , an easy, straightforward job of replacing the cement decking around the pool took over 3 months . It was messy and frustrating. They destroyed our pebble tech plaster. They offered to re do it for us, but we couldn't take more mess, more contractors, and any more of their problems. We had lost trust and confidence. We finally agreed to a credit for the damages so we could move forward with our lives. The credit amount was a compromise, and not the full amount we will need to pay a pool plaster company to re do the pebble tech. We are left with an ugly stained pool, and exhausted from construction and people in our back yard. We decided to just fill the pool again and live with it for a while so we can enjoy our summer. DEFINITELY not happy. So, we DO NOT recommend Tessera. It seems they only care about jobs that entail a high end , new pool and landscape project. They are , by far, the most expensive. It was a literal tornado of disorganization, and destruction, and poor quality work. read more

Teserra installed a beautiful pool with spa for our home in Indio. We had initially gotten three separate proposals from companies all located here in the Desert as we were concerned about third parties being subcontracted to do work and wanted to see how the different pool companies manage and complete work. It was at times a challenging experience dealing with some of the sales reps from the other two companies. We were given one proposal for a pool that physically could not fit in our yard or would pass an inspection by the City of Indio Inspector!!! We were quoted for incandescent white lights and white plaster for the pool that we defiantly did not want or request. Daniel Hernandez was our sales rep with Teserra and from our first meeting with him we knew we were at last on the right road. His knowledge of the City rules on distance from neighbors' walls and our main house, etc. helped us understand how to design the pool and spa so that we had a very efficient and problem free installation. The teams of construction workers, Electricians, Gunite guys and Pebble Sheen installers that worked on our property were professional, timely and true craftspeople. Daniel gave us a very detailed proposal and schedule that he and his team completed with no complications. We did want to make one major change after construction had started and when we approached Daniel with the "request" he took it in his stride and got it done. The Teserra showroom is quite the experience. So many choices for all the beautiful materials that bring a pool to life. It was a challenge to decide what tile type and colors and with Daniels guidance we got a pool and spa that sparkles and shines so beautifully. The Pebble Sheen "blue" finish was Daniels recommendation, and it was more beautiful than when he showed it to us in the showroom. It was a big project for us, and we are beyond happy that we had Daniel and Teserra Pools do the work. I received a name (Yoatzin - Yoyo) who has kept these little pool glitches easy to deal with. She answers my emails quickly, and assigns someone for the next day.
