This rating is for the service I received AFTER my pool/landscaping. Sure, there will be some glitches with anything new. I received a name (Yoatzin - Yoyo) who has kept these little pool glitches easy to deal with. She answers my emails quickly, and assigns someone for the next day. She has someone on her team (Taylor) who has been assigned to me a couple of times now. He shows up on time, always has a pleasant smile and attitude (I mean, with this heat, that's not so easy). Taylor remains cheerful when I can get a bit flabbergasted. He takes care of the problem in a timely manner, with no follow up required. I mean, he does it right the first time! Can't get any better than that! Taylor, as I wrote to Yoatzin before, you are a TRUE asset to Teserra, and they are DARN lucky to have you out there representing their company. After seeing the Teserra advertisements on local TV, we decided to call and set up an appointment. We also did contact other contractors for similar bids on our pool / pool deck and flagstone in our cabana. Frank Martinez responded back in a timely manner and set up an appointment to come to our home. Frank sent us a bid for the scope of work, and we were pleasantly surprised that a large company such as Teserra had the best bid. But, we were also going on personality too. Frank took time to answer ALL our questions and was always available by phone or text. Thank you Frank!! Going to the showroom was a big help to see the stone / tile in person. When the work started, he introduced us to the "demo" crew and then as each step of the project continued we met the supervisor for irrigation, paver installation, lighting / electric and clean up. Each and every person from Teserra could not have been nicer, we were greeted w/ "good morning" or "how are you today". Fernando Gonzalez was the Superintendent, and he was amazing...and very patient with us. He would explain the process and what we could expect. A big "thank you" to Fernando. I recently had a home built in Indio, CA and needed a contractor capable of handling every aspect of my dream project (pool, spa, fire pit, landscape, irrigation, hardscape, pergola, and misting system) from sales through design and construction. Since I don't/didn't live in Indio full time during my planned project I needed one company/person. that is truly a single source to project manage everything. After meeting with and reviewing initial designs and budgets with 5 different companies I choose Teserra and Adam Rodriguez for the task. I couldn't be happier with my choice. Pick Teserra and Adam for your next outdoor project! From the very start Adam did an excellent job of listening to my ideas/dreams and budget concerns all while contributing his own ideas to develop a beautifully creative space in my yard. Adam quickly produced a 3D CAD design that helped my see the total vision for my yard. Adam ended up being my one stop shop. Best of all, Adam and Teserra kept their word and delivered a high quality product on time AND within budget. Two examples of keeping their word and going above and beyond to make a custom happy were: (1) the pool tile supplier delivered the wrong tile to the job site and the contractors installed the wrong tiles. When I discovered the mistake, Adam quickly got to work and contacted the tile manufacture. He discovered that my selected tile was out of stock locally but rather than trying to talk me into keeping the wrong tile (it did look good) or masking another selection he worked with the distributor to have someone personally deliver my tile selection to the job site within a few days (rather than the weeks quoted by the distributor). This allowed the removal and replacement of tile to take place without any schedule delay or additional cost to me. The other example (2) involves a wall I had Teserra build around my HVAC system. They quickly completed this task and passed all city inspections. Unrelated to Teserra efforts my HVAC unit failed. While the HVAC repair person was onsite he claimed that the wall was built too close to the HVAC unit and if it wasn't moved my HVAC warranty would be voided (remember it passed inspection). The HVAC company offer to move the unit for $1000 but when i discussed options with Adam, Teserra agreed to demolish and rebuild the wall at no additional cost to me. I was only onsite in Indio for 30% of the project build time yet I felt fully informed by Adam every step of the way. He communicated professionally via text, phone, picture and email. He promptly responded to my my questions and concerns. My project in complete and I couldn't be happier. I use it everyday I am in town. I highly recommend choosing Adam Rodriquez and Teserra for all your outdoor projects (and post completion services). They will be doing an outdoor kitchen for me in the near future. read more

Jeremy arrived on time and was very understanding about our water leak. Through a series of testing and investigating he found the leak. It was not pool related but Jeremy put in the extra work and found the leak and turned the water off the effected area. Make sure if you use them that you understand your pricing and that they charge for your entire plan, not just the piece being installed first. Every single tradesmen they brought out did a phenomenal job- and it was incredible to watch the transformation. They do such a first class job- already my neighbor who saved a few thousand dollars by going to a less expensive company- already had to get his pavers dug up because there's already a leak. It's worth spending the few extra grand so you can sleep well at night knowing nothing was done wrong. Teserra doesn't really tell you step-by-step what's going on- but you just have to trust their process. When the big hurricane hit my pool didn't have one single problem because they sloped the yard and put in a dozen industrial drains so even in the heart of the storm, my patio was bone dry. Teserra completed my backyard upgrade in the summer of 2021, which included a large inground spa, extensive concrete decking, landscaping and fencing. I was very pleased with the way the overall project turned out in terms of design and overall aesthetic. I also enjoyed a good rapport with my project manager and was impressed with his expertise and professional demeanor throughout the job. He was very knowledgeable and really helped guide me in making informed design decisions along the way. However, I was less than pleased with the overall management of the project. There were too many project delays that weren't always well-communicated. There was also a lack of effective communication between the subcontractors, construction manager and project manager. I felt that I was always having to reach out to my project manager to find out what was going on instead of being regularly informed on the status of the project. I was particularly displeased by one of the subcontractors who tried to hide excess pool surface coating debris in my landscaping instead of properly disposing of the material. That kind of unprofessional behavior was not something I would have expected from a big, well-established firm such as Teserra. read more

TESERRA OUTDOORS has been a BIG disappointment. In late 2020, I purchased a home in Palm Springs with the intent of putting a pool and spa in my back yard. I received several recommendations and met with a handful of pool contractors in 2021 about my project. I gave TESERRA OUTDOORS two chances to show they are more than just flashy tv commercials. The first time I requested a consultation I did not hear back from them. I followed up with their executive offices and was promised by the owner Graham Balog I would soon be contacted by his sales team. I was not. A few months later I was encouraged to give them another try by one of their vendor partners. Using that vendor partner contact did get me a consultation appointment from salesman Chris Burke. Chris seemed like a great guy and followed up within 48 hours with renderings for me to see based on what we spoke about. That was two months ago. Four emails and two voice mail messages have not been acknowledged or returned from salesman Chris Burke or owner Graham Balog. I would be rethink trusting TERERRA OUTDOORS with your project unless you have lots of time to waste, enjoy being ignored and really do not want to build a backyard oasis at your home. read more
