PIcked up a 2021 Model Y yesterday. I was told when I checked in, "It is being readied." When I was taken to the car, Which was in a parking lot, clearly not being readied. It was pointed out that there was paint damage to the left rear fender, "which we will fix." When checking out the interior, they had cleaned but not thoroughly, there was old candy in the door pocket and coffee drop stains on the head liner. I had to stop at another service center on my way home and schedule the paint to be fixed and a detailing. I am disappointed. For the amount of money this car cost, it should have been thoroughly cleaned and gone through. I have no confidence in the dealership or personnel. Go somewhere else to get your car. read more

Got my Tesla here back in the Fall of 2021 from Camarillo Tesla. Had a great experience. Today after getting my son to tel he baseball field just in time for practice I went searching for a place to charge. Well in Camarillo the chargers aren't plentiful. I tried to find one of the smaller chargers but it ended up being in a gated community apartment complex. After get more and more anxious about being extremely low on battery I pulled into the Tesla Dealership in Camarillo. I kindly explained that I was at 1% and asked if I could plug in for 3 minutes to get a little charge to get me to the Oxnard Supercharger. Response I got was: "Sorry we don't have charging here"...I must have looked perplexed as we were at a Tesla dealership....he added "for the public". I said ok I'm just looking for like 3 minutes of charge to get me to the charging station. I said there is a 1 Star charger nearby but I don't have the correct adapter can I buy one here. He said no the service center isn't open yet. I asked if 0% really means 0% or is there a buffer amount. He said "how many miles left because there is a buffer of 10-15 miles?" I said 1 % and it shows 2 miles. I looked up the Oxnard suoercharger and it said approx 7 miles so I said ok I'll go there. Ran out of charge 0.2 miles from the super charger. Now waiting for AAA tow truck. I love Tesla, have stock in Tesla, got my car brand new from this location back in October but Very disappointed in the Camarillo location and their lack of empathy and common sense to help a customer out. They really work hard to make you happy, and any delay in repairs is really a problem with Tesla not allowing the repair centers stock replacement parts. Tesla makes their centers order each part one at a time, test it, and then order the next part if it doesn't work. It's totally inefficient and designed to minimize waste, which means the owner has to wait weeks for their car back. Thousand Oaks center tries to circumvent this a bit by basically listing everything being wrong with your car so all the parts come at once, but the mother ship definitely pushes back. I appreciate their efforts to deal with a flawed system. read more

I was very impressed with the very kind and upbeat staff here, especially Julisa. She listened to my issue with patience, spoke to her manager for me - and came back with the great news that Tesla would cover the cost of something they normally would not have in my situation. They gave me a great loner for a couple of hours, called me when they were done - and the whole process was seamless. The manager needs to either replace or remove the Tesla flag and American Flag which is currently damaged. It is in such bad condition it's clear it has been there since this location was opened and reflects how poorly the management takes care of the business. I bought my Tesla model Y about 2 1/2 months ago and I picked it up from this service center. The car was fine. It wasn't anything wrong with it but the guy that was assigned to me I guess Damien, could really care less. He was kind of in a bad mood, and really didn't want to spend hardly any time with me at all explaining some of the more basic functions of owning a Tesla. He was hungry, he had to eat blah blah blah he could've passed me off to somebody else that could've demoed the car for me, but he didn't. I felt like he couldn't wait for me to leave. I will never go to the service center and I'm sure they're relieved to hear that. It's kind of sad. You know Elon Musk is promoting his car so much but the service is just pitiful. read more

Tesla Service now acts just like BMW Service now. You can see by how they treat their customers that they are hurting for cash. I am ready to move on to some other EV, I have had enough. One of the most frustrating experiences with the Camarillo dealership. Has anyone ever tried calling this dealership? You get lost in the phone system for hours without getting any live person. I have stopped by the store several times to report the problem we had we the steering wheel of a loaner car that caused us to go off the road and the tow truck company had to tow the car and each time they assured us that they will handle the situation to coordinate with the tow truck company but after almost a month nothing has been done. I was blown away by how easy the experience of picking up my new Tesla at the Camarillo location was! I set the delivery appointment in the app and then a few days before they called to say the car arrived early and I could come sooner if I wanted. So I moved my appointment up then called them back and hour later to see if I could just come pick it up that day instead and they were able to squeeze me in! I arrived, checked in and 5 minutes later got the keys to my car. The person I worked with eased my fears about accepting delivery before inspecting the car and walked me through everything without hovering. I was shocked that I was in and out in about 15 minutes. While Tesla's system contributed to a lot of that I have to give a shout out to the team at Camarillo as well since everyone was really kind and helpful while still hands off do you don't feel like you're in a high stress situation. Any time I need anything for my Tesla I'm happy to make the trip down to the Camarillo location and have recommended it to anyone I know getting ready to pick up their Tesla! read more

Today it has been one month since my last review. Tesla is a great innovation business that has changed our lives. However they are some quality control issues with my car and some folks at the service center aren't all there when it comes to customer service. Today my perception of some of the aspects of the service changed a bit. After the software update most of the issues went away, and today a had a service call to rotate my tires at home. I would say for the first time since I purchased my vehicle at this location, I had a great interaction with the technician, who was very knowledgeable. The gentleman went above and beyond to answer all my questions and concerns. He was super cordial and respectful. He made me understand a lot things about tire rotation on this particular vehicle and about other topics. I had a lot of unanswered questions, and to be honest at the dealer they did not provide anything as far as the expectations with this car when I purchased. Would give zero stars if i could. The staff at this dealership has the customer service skills of piece of cardboard. I was told by two Tesla associates that I could transfer a brand new car lease I got in December to go from the model 3 to the bigger model y. Come to find out that was inaccurate information, i could in fact NOT transfer my new car lease. I had already made a $250 deposit on the bigger model y i wanted to switch into, i brought this to the general manager Chris's attention and he told me to basically take a hike. Basically stole $250. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone i cared about. read more

Purchased a brand new Tesla Model Y June 10th. It was a custom order. When we went to pick it up the rep said the car was in washing. Later he found the car sitting in the pickup area. The app was glitchy which took away from the experience and wouldn't let us take delivery. The car was dirty inside and out. Fingerprints all over the inside, with water streaks. After we got home we inspected the car even more. We found a small scratch on the driver side rear door and a scratch on the rear tailgate. You would figure after spending over $50,000 on a brand new car it wouldn't have any defects or damage. This weekend we were washing it and also noticed a defective molding on the driver side bottom of the car as well. Very disappointing to say the least. I wouldn't recommend this dealer. read more

They went on with their boring conversation. After a couple minutes a much younger man walked up and asked if I needed help. Very fast and efficient mobile service. My wife was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to use the mobile app. and schedule a 12 volt battery service for our model 3. The technician was very professional, and the pricing was very reasonable. I highly recommend this establishment. read more

Associate I dealt with was nice "in-person". Very disappointed in the customer service received/not received AFTER. Associate followed up a few days later with a phone call and an email. I had responded to the email that we have decided not to purchase (at the time), but thank you anyways, etc. No common courtesy email back (at least). A few days after THAT, phone call/voicemail, and text was sent to me following up again. CLEARLY she does not read her emails. I had called her yesterday at the dealership, other associate answered (no common sense to tell me if that other associate was available after I gave her a name) and sort of answered my question? I had sent a text first thing in the morning to the associate we originally spoke with in person and called (no answer). Almost 9 pm at night I get a missed call from her, but no voicemail? I give up on this location! Anyways... I was trying to reach her before I had ended up reserving a Tesla -- I had a few questions. I had called another location to get the help/guidance I needed. Overall, even the agents on the chat don't seem "customer service" oriented either. VERY surprised for this being TESLA. I literally had to ask/answer my own questions and asked a question with a question -- super frustrating. read more

I tried to call to make an appointment to have my vehicle repaired but they have a recording that says all appointments must be made through the app. So I make an appointment describing that I was in an accident and need repairs. I scheduled a rental car and my husband takes off work to drive me to the rental car place. I get there only for them to tell me they don't do those kind of repairs!! What a complete waste of time! All this could have been prevented had they had people actually answer the phone to deal with customers instead of insisting on an app. read more

Do NOT buy a Tesla from This dealership. Go to any other dealer but Tesla Camarillo. The worst car buying experience ever. I rarely write a review but I had a Tesla Y on order from months ago that was supposed to be picked up the next day the car was deleted by the dealer from my account so presumably they could sell it to another customer at a higher margin since my price was locked in at a lower price. One day from me picking it up foe my wife for Christmas my car was sold to another buyer. I was misrepresented, treated like dirt, and not the salesman or Manager would return my 7 texts and 6 calls over 2 days to find out what happened to my car. They ruined our Christmas and disgusted with the way they would treat a customer. Tesla is a great car but this experience was horrible!! I would never set foot in this dealership. Please buy from any other dealer. Not sure i will, as my family is still sickened and disgusted the way the car was sold out from under us and the lack of any professionalism or common courtesy with No response. I put 5 starts because I was lucky to meet Robert James who is Service Advisor at Camarillo Tesla center. Last couple weeks, I got the message from service center that schedule for my car service would move to the right one week but I was not available on that week. I went to Tesla center and asked Robert to squeeze me in. In my opinions, he is very flexible, patient, friendly and professional and makes it work. We are so happy for the excellent service.
