Inside, they have a modern artsy eclectic vibe and have a very spacious setup. For their menu, they have a solid selection of different appetizers, salads, pizzas, burgers, seafood, pancakes, and more! I opted to get the A5 Wagyu Cheeseburger and was also able to try bites of the Dutch Baby Banana Fosters Pancakes, Baked Brie, White Sweet Potatoes, and the Fresh Oysters. Had never been here or heard of it, so didn't know what to expect. First thing, the restaurant is nicely decorated and had a moody ambiance especially when it got darker - great for intimate dinners. I made a reservation for Sunday night but there was plenty of seating. We were there for happy hour, so we took advantage of the deals! We got the bread and spread, which came with 3 types of spread: edamame, hummus, and white bean. My favorite was the edamame spread as it had the most interesting flavors. I got the Newton's Fig cocktail, which has fig vodka, rhubarb liquor, Madagascar vanilla, lemon, and citrus tonic. The drink was refreshing, but I couldn't really taste the fig flavor. For my meal, I got the katsu sandwich, which I thought was pretty good. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and the food. I liked the fusion concept, as many dishes sounded interesting. Loved the food! I tried the bread spread (the dips were all great), the cabbage, the fries and the breakfast pizza and they were all really good. Also the newtons fig drink was absolutely amazing! Yelp has an uncanny way of guiding me when I travel, and while I was in Arizona, its recommendations were spot on every single time. Out of all the places it suggested, this restaurant stood out as the very best. Even my shaman, who I was visiting, was amazed when I brought her here and realized it was just minutes from her home. That alone felt like a hidden blessing. The experience was so good the first night that I came back again the very next day, knowing I'd soon be returning to St. Louis and wouldn't have another chance. The food here was nothing short of amazing, and the drinks? Exceptional. I especially love places that craft cocktails you can't find anywhere else--unique creations that make you feel like you're having something truly special. Normally I don't drink much, but when a restaurant offers imaginative, one-of-a-kind cocktails, I can't resist. This place delivered beautifully. The service on the first night made the evening even better. If I'm remembering correctly, our waiter's name was Ralph, and he was fantastic. He made thoughtful suggestions, checked on us with perfect timing, and struck that balance between being attentive without hovering. It really elevated the whole experience. The second night was a little different. We were seated with a young lady who seemed stretched thin. She wasn't as attentive--we actually gave our entire order at the same time she came to take our drink orders, and then we ended up waiting long stretches for both food and drink refills. At one point, I nearly left without ordering the cake I had my heart set on. Thankfully, she came back, remembered, and got it to me--though it took longer than expected. To her credit, she acknowledged the delay and even offered to cover the cost of the cake. That gesture showed accountability and care, which I appreciated. Even with the hiccups in service, the ambiance carried the experience. The space has an easy, inviting vibe that makes waiting feel less stressful--you can just relax, enjoy the music, and soak in the energy. The happy hour is a highlight too. The vegetable dishes in particular were absolutely delectable--so much so that I could've been satisfied eating just those. The restaurant also has a charming outdoor area, complete with cooling water sprays to make it comfortable even in Arizona's heat. It's the kind of detail that shows thoughtfulness for guests' comfort. Overall, this place is a solid 10/10 for me, even with the slower service on the second visit. Great experience here last Monday night. They have one of the nicest bartenders in the valley, his names ethan I believe, super cool and extremely friendly. Had the hummus, harissa shrimp and one other app I forget what is was tho... appetizers were bomb. Unfortunate I let my date order an entree and she doesn't know food lol so she got the margarita pizza I was like... wtf woman lol it was fine but who would order a pizza at this place... Works on the wall from local artists. The menu is also eclectic, which makes sense as Tesota has three chefs. As they say "great minds think alike" and Tesota has an excellent menu. Drawing inspiration from American, Asia, and The Middle East, it may sound like a lot but it's the perfect fusion. From hummus appetisers to noodle dishes to pizza they got you covered. There is an a wonderful bar with a large patio, the cocktail and wine list is extensive. On the evening I came in I did not imbibe, but had a hot jasmine tea, perfect for a frigid evening in the Arizona desert in winter. To start had a vegetable stir fry bowl, was not over seasoned, very tasty. Main, opted for a A5 wagyu cheeseburger, it was very savoury and cooked to a perfect medium. The jalapeño house made mayonnaise was a nice touch. Seriously, one of the best burgers I've had in a while. Would pair well with a Zinfandel. My guest had a margarita pizza. Dough was done well and the marinara was perfect sweet-tangy. Service was also excellent. Will have to come back soon and try some other dishes. Tesota gets an A rating. read more

Felt like going out to dinner and trying something new. I had heard good things about Tesota, so tried it on a Wednesday night at 5:30pm. It was spacious with outside patio, bar tables and chairs and raised banquet seating. Not too busy with about 5 patrons at the bar and maybe 8 tables filled. I ordered white sweet potato, my husband ordered the yakisoba and we started with the bread and spread. The hummus was one of the best hummus I have tasted in a long time. I confess to being somewhat tired of hummus due to being a vegetarian. But this hummus was so flavorful and had a richness. I really like the olive tapenade with the hummus and my best favorite was the white bean which was so good. The edamame tasted nice and fresh but was a little too hot and spicey for my gentle palette as I don't like spicey items. I really liked the white sweet potato. So light and crispy on the outside and sweet creamy on the inside! So delish and I highly recommend it. My husband had the yakisoba and raved about the noodle dish being flavorful and light tasting and not heavy or oily as some yakisoba can sometimes be. He really liked the mushrooms. This restaurant shares a parking lot with the Changing Hands bookstore, ample parking and so nice to peruse after our meal. Staff were friendly at the restaurant and I don't often comment about the house water that is served in restaurants but we both agreed that it tasted very fresh. It must be filtered, and I found myself actually drinking much more water with my meal than I typically did when eating out. I would highly recommend Tesota, the vegetarian/vegan choices are so nice, it has a really relaxed and pleasant atmosphere and there isn't the super loud music that so many restaurants blast at their patrons. Our waitress didn't engage with us much at all. Spent a LOT of time at a table of three men. Didn't refill drinks until we flagged her down long after they were empty. Had to stop her to ask if we could order our meals. Had to flag her down to order dessert after her not being at the table over 30 minutes for even a check in! Neglected to put in one person's order and she didn't receive it until after we had all finished! Never followed up-too busy with other table chatting. Paid in cash and asked for change-she already received 20%! 20 minutes passed and I flagged her down to remind her I needed my change. It was just under $3. She returned 10 minutes later with all COINS instead of bills. Passive aggressive! We will never return! She could have done so much better but why if she's compensated regardless of good service or not. We were there THREE hours because of her lack of engagement. Just sad. read more

My favorite was probably the chicken fried rice out of all our plates, it was very fragrant and the chicken tasted flavorful.
