The food is fun, creative, and delicious. I've been there twice now and found the service to be decent.

I heard good things about this from a local friend who has checked it out on a few occasions. She recognized that I would be in love with their broccoli appetizer and suggested this for our dinner meetup. I always complain about the lack of good food in Silverdale and am always trying to find something better. Vegetarian options in the area are often sparse. I would have loved to be able to find a menu online though prior to going. I was surprised to find this in this location, but you truly can not recognize what it was before. Plenty of parking outside. We were seated in a comfy booth where we were able to keep an eye on the pizza oven. Happy hour had reasonable prices. I was in fact in love with the seared and spiced broccoli, so much so that we ordered a 2nd order. Its pricey on the regular menu, but reasonable for happy hour. We also had some delicious tapenade which seemed like something they were just trying out. We received great service with multiple refills on our beverages. One of the cooks even came out to ask us what we thought of the new tapenade. I have been dreaming about going back here and will definitely make it again soon. My husband and I saw that Tessio received 4 stars and decided to give it a try. First this is a very small restaurant/bar. When we were seated ... if you can call it that ... someone waved us at a table it was dirty. This alone did not bother us because they were busy... when someone finally took our order the servers were less then enthusiastic to help us. No one smiled and honestly everyone looked like they would rather be somewhere else. We had paninis and they were good enough but nothing to write home about. It looked like everyone who worked there owned the joint and sure enough it was true ... just nothing bad but nothing special either. Holy COW! This place is good. Without a doubt, it is the best pizza in town. Always a great beer selection, but they really pride themselves in their whiskey selection - which is amazing. Bartenders are incredibly knowledgeable in all of their selections and if you like mixed drinks they are especially talented in making some tasty treats. I've tried their sister restaurant ToadHouse with the big beer selections and this one is even better with a big selection of whiskey. Ordered the lunch special with pizza and salad for ten bucks. Accompanied with an 8 Seconds Honey Cinnamon shot. Yummy. They have gluten free crust available and sandwiches (grilled paninis) as well as a couple appetizers. I got here at 11:45 and now they open at noon during the week. Nice environment and great service. read more

We just moved here from Seattle. We wanted good charcuterie and good drinks and were welcomed with both of those plus great service, friendly staff and a delicious wood fire pizza. If I closed my eyes I would have been in downtown Ballard.... Only way cheaper! read more

What a wonderful little place. I stopped in to use the loo and stayed for a pint of cider and some good conversations. The staff is brilliant. I was feeling a bit stressed due to the stupid drivers, its Washington its going to rain. I had to teach an impromptu grill cooking class and wanted to unwind a bit. Tanna, the lass at the bar, was amazing. She's one of those beautiful people that could calm an ugly storm. I wish I lived closer, this place would be my local. They have wonderful happy hours 4-6 M-F, all day Sunday. Military Mondays Half priced pizzas for active and retired military, Buy Two pizzas get one free Tuesdays, Half off Whisky on Wed. This is one of my favorite places for pizza on Mondays! They host a half off pie special as a military discount. With a full menu of specialty pizzas and offering gluten free crusts, this place has something for everyone. In addition to pizza they have sandwiches and wings. (Oops-no wings but I promise lots of tasty treats!!) Our favorite appetizer is the spicy broccoli which is sauteed to perfection. They also have local beer on tap and a large selection of whiskeys! Long wait to be seated, awkward waiting area. Food was just OK. Personal size pizzas that have strange flavor combos. We ordered the "Brewers Special" and "White" pizzas, both were lacking in the meat toppings they were supposed to come with. The "Brewers" pizza actually had whole peanuts on it (???), which didn't seem to go. The "White" pizza was supposed to have chicken, I counted exactly two small bite sized pieces of chicken on the whole thing! At $15 a pizza, seems way too much for what you get. Tessio advertises itself as a whiskey bar. The whiskey menu is long, buy very overpriced. Save yourself the bother, MOD pizza is much better and much cheaper. With the money you save, buy yourself bottle of nice whiskey at Total Wine next door, and enjoy it at home! read more

I have been in Silverdale for 3 weeks and this has become my go to! The pizza is made right in front of you in a stone fire oven. They give you 2 menus, one for pizza and one for their very well based whisky selection. The caprese salad is very delicious, although I would have liked to see more basil instead of arugala, however, the pizza is to die for! A staunch pizza can I keep coming back to their selection in which anyone would find what they desire. At a reasonable price a group can order a couple of pizzas and still walk away with a box. We stopped in for lunch. We had cheese bread 3/5 Roasted broccoli 2/5 Pizza 2/5 Some of it comes down to personal taste and some is poor execution. The sauce is very much on the sweet side. In fact I've never had a marinara/pizza sauce that is this sweet. The cheese bread was good because it should have lots of cheese. However the pizza has about double the amount of mozzarella it should have. The broccoli was comically undercooked. We got a pile of steamed broccoli with lemon juice and chili flake. We took the leftover broccoli home and finished roasting it. It was quite good. The pizza crust wasn't exceptional or awful. Unfortunately the prices are too high for the level of food. I really wanted to like this place but I won't be back. Update So the owner messaged me about the broccoli and he's right it has lemon juice not vinegar. Granted, we were there at 3:00 p.m. on a Thursday afternoon and Tessio was pretty much deserted, however, Jaci, our waitress was awesome. We modified everything in our order and she got it all right by memory only! My husband said his beer was served at exactly the right temperature. I'm very picky about my Old Fashioned's and their's are excellent. That makes sense because whiskey is one of their specialties. Each of us ordered different variations on the wedge salad. They were beautifully prepared, crisp and tasty. The only size pizza Tessio serves is a 10 inch. It has a perfect crust being not too thick or thin and not too chewy nor too crusty. The toppings are fresh and tasty. The mozzarella is cooked just right and not burnt as is in many places. This is just darn good pizza! The restaurant and restrooms are very clean. One restroom is ADA compliant and contains a nice clean changing table. We very much enjoyed our visit to Tessio. read more

Honestly it caters to specific groups of people on special events and holidays and for that I find it a bit less than "take it or leave it". We came here about two months ago. I remember the pizza being really good and they have a great selection of drinks available. We brought our two kids and I probably wouldn't recommend this place for those with small kids because there are no crayons or kids menus. Our kids did fine sharing a pizza with us, but it was hard to keep them entertained while we waited a while for our pizzas to come out. Love this place-- worth the elevated price on the menu. Being a foodie in Bremerton can lead to disappointment, but Tessio is great. Better than an average pizza joint, Tessio gets the crust RIGHT. Wood fires oven. Killer menu, especially the roasted broccoli (this gal was SO obsessed, I've spent many a night trying to recreate the broccoli. I've been four times now and I've only had one not so great experience, and it was service related, NOT the food. The ambience is pretty loud, definitely more bar-like than a normal pizza place, but as long as you weren't planning on bringing your toddlers here, that's cool. The food menu is minimal - a few apps, a few salads, and lots of pizzas - which is where they shine. I've tried 3-4 different pizzas and I love them all. My current favorite it the White Chick. I love that they have different types of sauces! I'm not usually a huge fan of red sauce, although the sauce here is excellent, not overly sweet or acidic. It's brick oven pizza, the perfect level of crispiness to the gooey, cheesy top. The average pizza is a couple slices larger than one person can eat in a sitting - so it's a pretty good value for the price. The ingredients have always been fresh and yummy. The drink menu is also extensive - if I were more adventurous I would try more of the whiskeys, but alas, I am a wine person and they have a pretty good selection of that, too! The owner, or his wife (I think) has always been super nice. The one time I did have an issue (my pizza came out when everyone else was finished eating) they comped the pizza and my drink. read more

Came here on accident and I was not disappointed! Food- had the red white and green pizza, it was very fresh and tasty. The pizzas are personal size and they had a wide variety of toppings. Drinks- they have a huge variety of liquors and excellent cocktails, as well as a selection of local beers. Service- the staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. I see all of these 5 star reviews, so I think I am missing something. My wife and I had dinner there last night and honestly, I didn't care for it. I guess it started when we were sat at a dirty table. They were quick to wipe it down, but first impressions...I ordered a beer, which they were out of (fine, I get that) so I ordered another and one of the tri-tip sandwiches. The sandwich came with so much horse radish, that I couldn't finish it. Also, the service was very sub-par. Once we were delivered our food, we did not see our server until we got the check.
