Family owned and operated, Andrea helped us with outstanding customer service & friendliness. The frozen daiquiri was perfect as well! Very good bbq on the westside near the energy corridor. Its authentic like my family makes and I can tell the time and love put into smoking the bbq meat. I like the baked potatoes and sliced beef sandwiches. Can order online without hassle but they are in a busy shopping center which is the only thing I dislike. I nearly get run over every time I make a trip over there. The young ladies are nice and the owner also has great people skills. Very smokey and the sauce is just amazing - a perfect blend on my chopped brisket sandwich. Wow, given all the positives reviews I really wanted to love this place. It is an old school, barrel smoked BBQ. Simple salt and pepper only rub. An a axing amount of smoke flavor. I ordered the family pack with one pound brisket and 1/2 pound ribs. For sides I got the potato salad. Brisket: simple seasonings, lots of smokey flavor, good smoke ring. Slices were cut to thick (meat just falls apart) and fat not fully rendered. My guess cooked at too high of temperature, with constant smoke, no Texas crutch (foil wrapped at end), and too long. I would also guess, the brisket was a choice grade and not trimmed much. Good homemade bbq. I score it a 6 Ribs: cooked similarly to brisket. Good bark, parts of rib were moist, but some parts were dry. I am am a rib man, and these disappointed. Is bore it a 4. Potato salad: great mix of mayo and mustard, large rice on potatoes, but The batch I had was inedible - way too much salt....like seawater. Must gave an error....big disappointment. I score it a 1. Sauce: best part of meal. A nice mildly sweet sauce that married well with the brisket. I score it a 7. In all a disappointment and I will not return.... read more

The owner is professional and courteous, and from the reviews I have seen and my own personal experiences, Hitters BBQ is in high demand. First off the place was right off Fry Rd in front of Ritters, so that was not hard to find. The windows were closed, so I thought that they weren't open. The food took awhile to come out, but it was worth the wait. There was tons of food. We ended up feeding way more than 4 people...more like 8. The ribs were soft and the meat literally pulled away from the bone so easily. The brisket was moist, yet not too fatty. The beans were delicious, definitely my favorite. The coleslaw wasn't that great. It was mustard based which I wasn't too fond of, but it was pretty good. The potatoes were huge. I could've definitely fed 4 of me. Definitely worth it and oh so delicious. In conclusion, this place is pretty darn good. You get plenty of food for a reasonable price. I'd definitely come back. read more
