If I could leave 0 stars I would . I purchased a Mercedes-Benz E-Class from Texas Best Auto over a year ago and still have not received the title or registration. I paid for the vehicle in full, including taxes and title transfer fees, and was given temporary tags that are now long expired. Despite multiple attempts to contact the dealership including phone calls & multiple texts I've received no response, no explanation, and no resolution. I can't legally register or drive the car I paid for, and they've not only blocked me from communication but they have shown no concern about fixing the issue. This is not just bad business it's illegal and completely unacceptable. I've filed official complaints with the BBB, Texas DMV, and next will be the Texas Attorney General. I will continue taking legal steps if necessary. I strongly urge anyone considering doing business with this dealership to think twice. Save yourself the trouble, the cars won't even make it off the lot on in some cases. This is truly hit and miss, you taking a gamble here and I wished I read the reviews. For someone looking for a project to spend more money, this is your place! But if you're looking for a vehicle to drive, keep looking.They do what they can to bamboozle you, including collecting money right away, but holding you for hours before delivering the vehicle. Even during the auction, it's a rush and feels pressured, nothing reputable. They like to leave no time to think, no time to look or review. 7/2/24 DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!!! I read the bad reviews and I still went there. Please spend your money someplace else. These cars all have hidden problems that will make them not pass inspection. A lot of the cars have been in accidents and have major mechanical issues that you will have to get repaired before you can even get an inspection sticker. The whole set up is Loud and unorganized. They tell you that you can cash buy a vehicle then you end up still having to bid on it when you get there instead. You can barley hear Eric over the loud Fans ( You also can hear how bad the cars are running). Eric gets mad that you cant hear and then literally starts screaming at us and refusing to sell certain cars. He gets upset because people will not buy all of the old cars that's been sitting there being brought around every auction. He gets a couple of new cars and runs all the same old ones back through every auction until sold. I saw him bring a red Maserati around at least 4 different days and then get upset with the crowd because no one wanted it. If you ask if the car has been in a collision he will say no. Some have been. He puts in an ear piece and says other people are buying over the phone, it's a lie. Kage is there trying to encourage people to still stay and buy cars despite Eric acting like a child and talking to people rude. All transactions must go through Eric. No one else at the facility can take your money or sign off on anything. He is rude gets there when he wants and has multiple other people he has sold lemons to there to try to talk to him in the few minutes before the auction starts. The second time I came back to talk to him about there was HPD and a lady who found out the hard way about this place also. She got her money back. My car did not pass inspection and since you leave the facility with absolutely no license plate. You will not get a temporary tag until you get the car to pass inspection. Once you get the car to pass the inspection then you bring the inspection paper back to Eric and try to get him to sign off in between talking to other people and pretending to be on the phone. Then you go back up to the front counter and wait or ignored some more until that let you talk to the ladies in the window to get temp plates that they will supposedly mail to you. If you cant get the car to pass inspection no problem, just go to the place Kage recommends because they will illegally pass your car and then give you the bill. Just say Kage sent me. The car is still going to have all of the same issues and they will not even care to tell you what those problems are. Eric stated "what does it matter if it has problems, just get an oil change and drive it". I don't live near there and took me 5 visits back and forth trying to get things worked out. The first car I purchased was a 2020 Jeep Renegade that did not appear to have any physical damage. The gas light turned on in the parking lot and the car barley made it to a gas station. It had been in a major accident. On the way home with no tag I was told by HPD that the car needed tags, and that the turn signals were not working. The car had multiple sensors going off once It got on the road I also found out that due to the accident the air bag had been ejected and was not replaced. The car also reads about 42,000 miles, but once it was put on a machine at jeep to diagnose the problems the car had 76,000 miles ( The speedometer had been pushed back). Making the car unable to be sold back to a dealer because they said it looks like someone tried to hide something and that they can not turn it forward either. The car is also reading as a salvage vehicle so I can't get but $500 for it. After getting all the repairs, I was eventually able to get the temp tag. The second car I bought was a 2016 Fiat. during the Auction I did not notice the man opened the drivers side door, because he knew we couldn't. The handle didn't work and he was distracting from the drivers side mirror being shattered as well. I could even use the side mirror to get home. This car also had a donut on one tire, and needed multiple repairs as well. It to had no temp tags and took nearly a month to get the car fixed. It had to sit in my garage due to HOA restrictions and every time I took it back and forth to the shop I had to drive there checking for authorities that might pull me over. I can't even get a refund because Eric does not communicate with you after he has your money and his staff is rude. This place is a headache selling bad cars.
