The service was good. However, we were not that pleased with the meat, as everything we received was overcooked even though we were asked our temperature preferences. The restaurant was kind enough to offer us a $20 gift certificate to give them another chance. We haven't used it yet but will give it another go. Revisited 2/15/2020 My last visit was 6 years ago and it was everything I remembered it to be and more. The service was 5 Stars. The food was 5 Plus Stars. The Cocktails were amazing. This place only gets better with age. My favorites were The Lamb Chops, The Filet mignon, and The Beef Ribs. All the meat was fantastic but those three stood out. Very disappointed ! Not as good as their cross town rival. Our waitress was good, considering how busy the restaurant was. For our table of seven, we all requested medium, rare meats. Only one of our meats was served actually, medium, rare, and all others were dry, and practically well done. Our meat servers were slow, and frequently bypassed our table. Salad bar was less than par. My caipirinha, the national drink of Brazil, tasted more like limeade with lots of sugar and NO alcohol. One of our family's favorite restaurants for special occasions. So we went in April 2024 for a couple of birthday celebrations. Maybe a one off but left feeling let down. First off the salad bar very good. Well stocked and with fresh ingredients. The gaucho's ( the servers who bring the meats around) were very slow and we had to ask for certain skewers to be brought to the table. And here is where the restaurant failed. The meat, as in the beef and lamb which is what we go for, was overcooked to the point of being well done. The restaurant was 75% full so the meat should not have had a chance to overcook. Our server did keep our drinks filled. So she was a plus. At every previous birthday celebration we always got at least 1 free desert for the 1 or 2 birthday person or people, this time they didn't do. We will have to rethink our plans for our next birthday and try Fogo de Chão. read more

I have never been to one of these steakhouses before and had no idea what to suspect. As a fair warning, it is $50 all you can eat salad and meet buffet. Salad, soups, rice, and other items are found in the primary buffet. The meat is cooked well rare and comes around the table. Simply flip the coaster green for more or red to stop. I've been disappointed the last two times I've gone. But they are always busy so the model must be working for them. We went here for my friends birthday. She accidentally made the reservation at another restaurant however they were super accommodating for a large party last minute. Our waitress was the sweetest and even help cut the birthday cake that my friend brought. I opted out of the meat option as it's not worth it as I can't eat a lot. So unless you are a buffet type it's not really worth the price point to me. However my husband got the meat option and said the meat was high quality. The food is without a doubt phenomenal. My friends and I recently treated ourselves to a night out, and it was an experience, to say the least. We arrived approximately 20 minutes earlier than I our 5pm reservation, therefore we were seated at the bar to wait. Conveniently, happy hour had already begun so we enjoyed $5 cocktails while waiting. I personally indulged in the Rio Sunrise which I ordered again later in the night before happy hour concluded. When we first arrived, the place was almost completely empty except for a couple seated at the bar. Initially, it didn't make sense why we couldn't be seated our table with so every table open, but once dinner began, it suddenly made sense. At 5pm, we were taken to our table where we were able to stretch out and get comfortable. Our server promptly asked if anyone had been here before to which we all replied: no. He explained how everything worked and welcomed us to the salad bar. His explanation of everything got us even more excited for what was to come. We made our way through the salad bar which was full of pleasantries including spanish cheese, sushi, lobster bisque, and so much more. I tried to get small portions of everything knowing all that all that meat would be coming soon in addition to fried plantain and mashed potatoes. I enjoyed mostly everything I got from the salad bar including the lobster bisque. It had nice flavor, but I also expected it to be thicker. Then the meats came and kept on coming! One after the other: sausages, porks, steaks, chickens--you name it. The servers were very patient in waiting to see who actually wanted their selection off the 2ft skewer. They took survey and then made their way around our table. They would either drop the meat onto our plates or instruct us to grab our personal tongs. I quickly had a few favorites including the spicy sirloin and lamb. Lamb ended up being a table favorite. Our server had the lamb and spicy sirloin sent back to our table after the first couple rounds. After awhile, I had to turn my little card over to red so that I could eat what was in front me. Know that if you're like me and you like your meat well done, you can just let each of the servers know. Ever so often, I'd use the fried plantain to cleanse my palate. Not really; that's what it was for but it was also just so delicious! After we we just about full and our table mostly cleared. Our server brings over a tray full of cake and pie slices. Game Over! You're never too full for dessert! I had the carrot cake and regretted nothing! I don't think I've ever left a restaurant so full and satisfied not only with the food but also the service. We all had agreed that our only 'good' service in comparison to 'excellent' service was the hostess. Everyone else more than made up for them with their smiles, patience, desire to serve and knowledge. Early Xmas gift ! Night out. I love Brazilian Steakhouse's. We have. Even to many in our travels. The Texas de Brazil in Station Square is among one of the better ones on our list. It looks from the outside a larger restaurant, but when you walk inside it really isn't, but it makes up for it in hospitality and excellent food. Man, this place is something special. TdB has a very unique atmosphere and process that is very fun and enjoyable. Every single thing that I ate was delicious and had no shortage of incredible flavor. It's incredible that for $52 you can eat until you're in a coma, and that's not a lie. I ate so much that I was seeing stars. I couldn't get enough. The only reason that this is getting 4 stars out of 5 is because at times i felt like the Gaucho's weren't aware that our cards were flipped and we missed out on some meats that we really wanted to try, such as the Lamb and beef ribs. We believe that it's mainly because the cards are so small and the atmosphere is very dim, therefore i don't think the gentlemen running the meat were able to see that we were ready for more. If dining with others, perhaps split a portion your served, that way you can sample more and decide what tastes best for you. Whether you are a resident of Pittsburgh, visiting family and friends, or just passing through, it's worth a visit. The only bad thing I would say is that it can get pricy. Also, it would be a good idea (and strongly suggested) to call ahead to see about getting a reservation if possible. Otherwise, it is a fun experience. It is a perfect place for large parties. My friend and I have spoken about going here for over a year, and we finally got the chance to stop with our families. The salad bar may have been the thing I liked most. They offer the standard salad bar items, but they also offered items such as smoked salmon, some soup choices such as lobster bisque, and potatoes au gratin that were pretty solid. I'm a huge fan of charcuterie boards and they had some decent cuts of bread near some meats and some cheese. The goat cheese terrine spread on some of that bread was fantastic. The server brought out some cheese bread that was sort of like a tiny croissant with cheese inside and those were a big hit with all of us. He server brought out some fries, mashed potatoes, and some bananas that were fried. Nobody really touched the fries, but we all feel like the mash tasted like the Bob Evans' brand from hat you can pick up at the store, but we were all fine there. The bananas were decent and I think I would have eaten far more if they had ice cream to add on. The meats in general were fine. They say that they prepare the steak and lamb to medium rare, but all of the meat we got was over cooked. The lamb was done near medium-well, but none of us had a big issue over that. The first time we got lamb, it was over seasoned with lemon and pepper. When a new skewer came by, we tried more and it was far better seasoned. Our sever was fantastic. He stopped by frequently to check in on us to clear plates, refill drinks, and he had a good sense of humor even though he appeared pretty busy. As far as the downs, there were several things on the menu that never came by our table such as the ribs. The gentlemen that was bringing around the sausage didn't stop by until we were about finished and when we got it, I was the only person that tried it as it was pretty tough. I thought the sausage tasted fine, but it was noticeably tough. I think I'd go back and enjoy just doing the salad bar as in addition to the cheeses, soups, etc., there were quite a few other items I'd have enjoyed trying such as Tabouleh couscous, and their salad (my friend said their blue cheese dressing was top notch). read more

I'm not a huge meat eater, so going into our dinner reservations, I didn't have super high expectations. However, I was excited for the soup and salad bar, based on other Brazilian steakhouses like this that I've been to. We had reservations for dinner on Valentine's Day and were seated immediately. The service was great - both the meat servers and our actual server were checking in on us often and making sure we had what we needed. I opted out of the meat and got just the salad bar, but it was much smaller and less impressive than I had thought. I had hear rave reviews on the soup, and it was all just mildly warm. There were a lot of different salads and cheeses, with some sushi, too. Overall, everything was good, just not worth the big price tag. However, we did luck out with reservations during happy hour. It was my first time doing Brazilian Steakhouse. I've been to Fogo but only for a happy hour. People had told me this was really good. It wasn't even so much the food as the service. I was excited about it, I booked it for my boyfriend's birthday. As soon as we got there it felt so rushed. We didn't get plates she had finally brought My boyfriend one I had one trip to the salad bar which is the plate I used the entire time. 5 different people came up with meats as soon as we got there. No time to take a second try one and after that no one came for what felt like 30 minutes. I know there were sauces on the salad bar we didn't get to try.. not only that I had one plate had to move over all my salad bar stuff for meat and my server still had not brought my drink I ordered. There are different types of cheese, sausages, fish, spreads and they where all dellicious. The meat was great too. We tried less types because we don't eat pork. Our waiter Donald was very professional and nice. Oh and the FRIED BANANAS were soo good. As you sit down waiting for the meat to be prepared you can go ahead and take whatever you want from the salad bar, but if you are not a big steak fan you cand just eat from the salad bar and you also pay less. They are going to explain everything when you enter the restaurant. Try it you will not regret it! Every place can have a bad day (or night in this case). Maybe in my case, I didn't have a reservation and I was in town on business and by myself. But after waiting several minutes to get seated (I almost left), I was shuffled off to a table right next to the salad bar (OK -- think positive. I'm right next to the food)! Once again, I waited several minutes before my server came to the table. After helping myself at the wonderful side dishes at the salad bar, I waited 10 minutes -- maybe longer -- to get any water. Another 10 minutes before my cocktail arrived. The server never told me that I needed to place a cardboard marker bearing the restaurant logo (green side) for the meat servers to know I was ready for my entrees. I never got the complimentary potatoes that others were getting served at their tables. And finally, my server instructed me what I needed to do to get served (only after I asked her why all the servers with delicious-looking meat at the end of skewers were passing me by for the past half hour). When one of the managers asked me how it was going, I told him everything and he ended up giving me the cocktail free. As you can tell, I'm not sure I would ever return. You don't treat paying customers like that, even if you are by yourself. There are plenty of other restaurants within walking distance. Service is just as critical as the quality of food. You can have the best salad bar and cooked meats in the country, but if your server is inattentive and sloppy, you have nothing. I'd rather go to Wendy's. read more

I recently had my first Texas De Brazil experience. To start, they're located in station square, so they have an awesome view of the river and city right next to the restaurant. There's benches everywhere so you can sit, relax and enjoy the fresh... smell of Joe's crab shack nearby (not complaining). There is also a fountain in this area but it wasnt turned on. We made a reservation for 5 through google. We arrived went in 5mn before and was seated immediately. They were extremely busy for an early Sunday evening. The food was great, the servers were all awesome, and the overall experience was well worth the price. The reason for the -1 star is because they have a salad bar but I was unable to find things to put on the salad (i.e. tomatoes, cheese, carrots, cucumbers, etc). I went here for a friend's birthday and there were 15-20 of us. We had a reservation which is a must here, they were crowded! This was my first time here and I wish I did some research because I did not go in hungry which was my main mistake but wanted to celebrate pre-bar with friends anyway. (It was a busy weekend and had multiple outings earlier in the day). This was actually my first time at a Brazilian steakhouse so I had no idea what it was like. However, I was pleasantly surprised so maybe my review is nice for a newcomer's take? Anyway, they give you a circle card that you flip to green when you are ready to try meats and flip to red/the other side when you do not want them to come to your table anymore. There are several men that come by each table with different cuts of meat: sirloin wrapped in bacon, filet minion, lamb, pork, ribs - just every type of meat you could ask for. They do also cook medium rare - well done and the waitress did check what we prefer. We first went to the salad bar which if you are unfamiliar like I was - it is not your average salad bar - it has fish, shrimp, salads, fruit, curry style dishes, soups, bread, etc (a lot of variety). I think it is good to know to be very light with the salad bar so you have room for the meats. The meats are literally mouthwatering - the lamb stood out the most for me, very tender and juicy. I really cannot wait to go back and the next time I will be sure to come on an empty stomach to get my money's worth and enjoy more meats. I think it was just as exciting just watching them cut the meat as it was eating it. There is a salad bar only option (which is nice for vegan and vegetarian friends) which is $24.99, the salad bar and meats is $54.99. It is pricey but if you go in hungry it is worth every penny for the quality and quantity that is available. My main tip is to not drink alcohol there - go to a bar post-dinner as their drinks are very pricey and would probably cost you nearly your meal in order to get a buzz. The only downfall to our visit was our waitress was a little scatterbrained and actually told us she "got lost" with which tables were hers and we had to wait a bit to even get drinks refills or have her get our checks. Granted it was a busy Saturday night and I am not sure if she was maybe new but the meat servers were much more well deserving of our tips than our waitress was. **I did take photos of the meat and videos of it being cut but it is hard to get good photos with the lighting in there. The cold salad bar is one of a kind and upscale with lots of unique items like hearts of palm, crunchy fresh bacon, shrimp , potato salad (my fav) etc. There is a warm bar as well with THE BEST scalloped potatoes, mushrooms, and lobster bisque soup I have ever had. And the best part is getting the meat sweats from the huge variety they have. They gave a nice selection of white and red meats and even had grilled shrimp. This restaurant might be the best customer service I've ever had ! Everyone was super friendly and the food was amazing! Even though we got in a little late, there was no rush for us to finish or pressure with closing ! Our server was so great ! I wish I remembered how to spell her name!
